  1. I would happily spend 60 - 100 CC for any dye I happen to like on a specific outfit. I would happily purchase multiple White/Blue dyes for 150 CC a pop (I have three Troopers, I love the White/Blue look, and all their companions need to match the unit) . I have no problem purchasing a Black/Black, White/Black, or Black/White for 200 CC or more, if I'm in the market for them. I refuse to spend 200 CC on a pack of two random dyes. I refuse to spend 100 CC on two random dyes. I refuse to spend 50 CC on two random dyes. You might get me to spend 5 or 10 CC on two random dyes. Please stop with the random dyes. I don't have numbers, real or otherwise, to suggest you'd make more money in general by selling a wider assortment of specific dyes, but I can guarantee you'd make more money off of me.
  2. I'd genuinely love to play more PvP, but I can't stand Huttball. Giving us an option to exclude it from the PvP queue would be fantastic, I would definitely play more PvP.
  3. Not a deal breaker, but I think it'd be really cool if my Imperial Light Side Force users used Light Side "meditation" recovery animations and my Dark Side Republic Force users used Dark Side recovery animations.
  4. I've found that I lose sense of the class story, the pacing falls away, if I try to hit all the quests in an area. So I'll mainly be focusing on the class quests, supplementing with Heroics and Space Missions as needed, and perhaps the occasional Flashpoint.
  5. You've got a couple of giant, beautiful, elaborate capitol planets in Coruscant and Dromund Kaas, but once you've out-leveled them, there's no real (non-RP) reason to go back (that I have discovered, at least, aside from the Legacy gear vendors). Why make them so significant and elaborate if we're not going to be spending a lot of time there? Do you have plans to make them more relevant in the future?
  6. The transfer has worked flawlessly for me, I am extremely impressed. Transferred five characters from Rubat Crystal and two from Shien, all to The Ebon Hawk (in less than a minute per character, I might add), only had to change one name (a slight alteration sufficed), and got the Legacy name I had originally wanted on my first server! Props, BioWare. And thanks. You guys rock.
  7. I believe so. The two of you will have to party up first, then the party leader will queue your semi-group in the LFG, and then off you go to rain forth pixelated mayhem with two brand new friends!
  8. I would imagine that the currently long queues on PTS have little to do with the tech, and more to do with the fact that it's probably not as populated. What I'd like to know is if anything is being done about players who queue up as healer/tank (Vanguard, Commando, Guardian, Scoundrel, Sage, Shadow, and their Imperial counterparts) fully intending to only play DPS just to get in quicker. I suppose kicking and adding them to the ignore list is the solution. I'd kind of like to see the option when kicking someone from a group, to automatically add them to my ignore list, or at least a pop-up that asks me if I'd like to add them to my ignore list. And I'm glad the tool will not be cross-server. This is a great way to meet potential guildies. I'm not sure it's needed for the origin planets, though. Tython has one 2+ Heroic that is easily soloable once you've got your companion, and the Heroics on the other planets, though fun, aren't really all that important. The only thing you can get with starter world commendations is the one chest-piece.
  9. I understand that PvE will transfer to PvE and that RP-PvE will transfer to RP-PvE, but what I'm curious about is, for U.S. servers, will the origin and destination servers be in the same timezone. I assume this will be addressed in the upcoming FAQ, but just in case it's not, thought I'd drop a bug in someone's ear, so to speak.
  10. Came across a Zeyd-Cloth Tunic on Voss a couple days ago, really like the look, only problem is my current chestpiece already outgears it. Does anyone happen to know if there's a moddable chestpiece that looks like this? Zeyd-Cloth Tunic Thanks in advance for your help!
  11. As a lot of people have noted, The Esseles/Black Talon are the only flashpoints with the opportunity for significant social point gain. Why the decision to place less conversation options in the subsequent flashpoints?
  12. Perhaps the RP community could reach a consensus on an unofficial RP flag. Like perhaps, if you see someone walking instead of running. Or not in a party, but with a certain raid marker over their head.
  13. Nice guide! My fiance, who is great at Cantina/Tavern RP, says she just follows one simple guideline: where is she coming from? In other words: what was her character doing prior to entering the tavern? It doesn't necessarily have to be literally what you were last doing. Just make something up, and act accordingly. Just ambushed by Sand People? Then maybe you limp into the cantina, ask around for the local medical center, and complain about Sand People. Just got back from traipsing around in rakghoul territory? Maybe ask the guy sittin' next to you if your skin looks green. Just arrived on the planet? Ask around for what places are best to avoid. Just got back from watching a swoop race? Talk about the results and how many credits you won betting on a certain rider. I really think that figuring out what your character was just doing is one of the best ways to immerse yourself. It's the most realistic, after all, we all just came from somewhere.
  14. +1 I get to heal and run around with a lightsaber!!! Win-win! It's just boss.
  15. I actually do that here, on my website, as I'm leveling up. But more importantly, this: Make sure you understand why people say to obtain talents in a certain order, and if you agree with their reasoning, go for it. If not, do what you think is best and have the most fun with. If you don't understand the build, it doesn't matter how good it is, you'll never use it properly, and will get frustrated with it.
  16. I'd say no. You could probably get away with it until level 20, as that's when we start getting access to the talents that really define the class: Preservation, Rejuvenate, and Conveyance. Up until that point, you've pretty much got access to all the healing abilities that are available (Force Armor, Deliverance, and Benevolence), but you'll likely find it harder without Immutable Force and Foresight which, respectively, reduce the cast time of Deliverance, and reduce pushback & threat. In short: it'll be really hard, I'd advise against it. Spec Seer if you want to heal.
  17. The HoT you're thinking of is Healing Trance, Resplendence is the talent that makes a Healing Trance crit cause your next Noble Sacrifice to have no cost, Force or health. The crit chance for Healing Trance is improved with a Conveyance proc. Rejuvenate is our other HoT, which procs Conveyance on cast. Rejuvenate is a front-loaded, fire & forget HoT, whereas Healing Trance is channeled, I believe. Getting Resplendence is another reason I'm going to hold off on the Telekinetics tree at first. I don't really want to put that talent off for 2 - 5 levels. Though I might hold off on Clairvoyance and Salvation until I put 12 points in the Telekinetics tree and pick up Will of the Jedi from Balance.
  18. That's pretty much the conclusion I came to after six wipes on Kreshan the first time I joined a PuG for Hammer Station. If you get a group with DPS that don't stay out of the bombs or cone attack, and are slow to pull the adds off you, without the pushback reduction from Foresight, everyone taking damage is simply too much for a 2.5 second heal and a shield on a 4.5 second cooldown to handle. Now, if the tank turns Kreshan and the DPS attack from behind and are quick to pull adds off you, I'm sure either build could work. And at the end of the day, all that really matters is if the group survived. A win's a win, doesn't have to be pretty.
  19. No, Salvation's our only AoE heal. Others have suggested that it's so low in the Seer tree so the DPS Sages (Sagi? Sagus?) can get to it once they've maxed their DPS trees. You probably won't need Salvation as soon as it's available, but I would think it'd be pretty much mandatory once you start hitting Operations. Where you can really stand to pick up some points, unless you're planning on doing a lot of PvP, is by dropping Pain Bearer and Jedi Resistance.
  20. Yup. "Shiny" version: http://www.sreyasholocron.com/uploads/7/7/5/6/7756614/the_jedi_sage.pdf Text-only version: http://www.sreyasholocron.com/uploads/7/7/5/6/7756614/the_jedi_sage_text_only.pdf
  21. You can filter your search results by name, it's good enough for me.
  22. ^ This. It's a great guide, if you haven't already, I'd recommend reading the whole thing. But here's the section andyjim is referring to.
