Same here, but quick shot can drain you of energy quick so I try and stagger it....lots of grenade throws. And yes sooooo many abilities...I know others will disagree but we need macros! either that or cut some of the abilities down and just make more 'levels' for the rest.

What would you keybind your CC abilities to to have easy access? I am ok with 2 hotbars but add in a ton more keys to hit 'while' I'm under duress not sure I could do it...I'd hit the wrong key hands down lol. I'm enjoying Gunslinger in PvP, he is tricky, I die a ton but I'm slowly getting better after each WF and I'm only low 20s, can't wait for 40-50!

Err from what I've seen PvP and Space missions are far faster for lvling then Quests...

Gunslingers are all about keeping them away from you because if they get to you its over. Yah that's the tricky part...keeping them off you. I find at times it's easy, other times it's impossible! Even with CCs I can't generally get away fast enough, or I'm getting lightening in my back! I'm doing better in my early 20s then I was in my teens and I'm still having a blast. But yah Gunslinger can be a hard road....I hate how the 'cover' ability ****s with my hotbars, I've heard you can disable this but not sure were I find it. I'm also still fiddling with my hotbar set up for PvP, bot yet totally happy with it. As for energy...it's the Smugglers bane I think, it takes practice to keep tabs on.

The last group Quest I went on I was using thermal grenades but the Jedi kept yelling at me for breaking their CC. So I went single target instead. Guess it all depends who your with and if they are a**holes or not.

I'm running Cybertech, UWT and Investigation...thou think I'll drop Investigation for Slicing afer reading these Forums. In truth I don't really understand the crafting in this game yet, there any good links of how it all works? I've been sending Corso on UWT mission but not sure what I do with the metals ect he brings back.

Oh I'm sure in no time at all there will be FOTM Builds and trees, I don't think in MMOs you can avoid them really. Just no one is high enough or played enough to come up with them yet. Rift has the most 'choices' for builds in any game I've ever seen but most players still run the same handful.

I am not locked into a tree yet, a Guildy mentioned Sabo for PvP as that will be my main focus (after main SL Quest is done) I love Gunslinger play but in PvP can be frustrating getting so quickly gutted by Sith....dirty fighting helps?

Sharpshooter is very good dps but very squishy! We get targeted fast by the opponents dps and unless you are good at using your CC options (which are few) you'll get gutted quick. Trooper seems fair hard and decent dps..plus combat medic i heard is great! Sharpshooter is fun don't get me wrong, we are just tricky to play effectively in PvP atm.

It's not just you trust me, I feel the same as do many here looking thru this forum. We seem to be a priority target for our enemies, might be because we dps so much or we are squishy..or both. Guess we'll just all have to learn to hide better? lol kiting is not very easy in this game.

Run & Gun and throw grenades! Stay with your group, when the Jedi engage find a flank you can set up on, not in easy sight..or so I've read on these forums.

I tried setting up a second bar under the bottom but could not find it in 'preferances' just a left or right bar. Am I not looking right? Were is this xtra bar you mention? Also anyone notice there are far fewer 'options' for your UI then most MMOs? I can't even find something to move my chat window...won't let me drag it nor is there an option I've found for moving things like companions window, cast bars ect.

Well don't expect to much, this is not a 18+ MMO like Conan no is it Dragon Age so I don't think you'd ever get past a harmless flirting stage...no pipe laying I'm sure to bad...

Yah I'm 18 and PvP as a Gunslinger can be tough....don't waist time with cover. Run & Gun seems to be the way to go, a Guildy told me to go "Sab" Tree, use those Grenades. You're right if you go into cover a Sith/Jedi melee will be on you in a flash. For a sci-fi game this game is very melee oriented, at least in PvP.

I play a Gunslinger and yah damage is decent but I've found with all the lightsabre wielding Sith around you don't get many shots off before being gutted. I'm still learning the Class but from what I've seen your better going with a melee heavy build for PvP.

PvP is the doom of most MMOs I think, for whatever reason it seems to be the most difficult for Devs to get 'right' Star Wars already had a bad rep for it's PvP content months before release so I wasn't expecting much honestly. Besides the fact it seems the WFs I've been in are melee focused (strange for a Sci-Fi game I'd expect much more rdps) and the Ranged toons get eaten by lightsaber wielding pychos...I've had fun. I play a Gunslinger, maybe I get 1 or 2 shots off before a Sith is gutting me...I'll adjust once I get used to the game I'm sure (I'm only lvl 16) or i'll save PvP for my own Jedi. Star Wars isn't PvP based...its only an add on because they know they have to have 'some' PvP . Be nice to see a PvP focused MMO like Warhammer but this isn't it.
