try asking someone what WoW was like at launch sometime, it'll be educational

if you think this is the worst launch in history then I'm gonna guess this is your first MMO launch.

steam is still proably the most popular online distrubituion source out there

yeah I doubt gamestop was at fault here, they proably ran out of pre-order slips and EA was slow to deliver

not nesscarily, SW's and SI's have differnt stat requirements for a lightsaber. also I forsee at end game the big thing not being weapons but MODS.

truthfully my greater concern is still like a sith warrior rolling on a blaster pistol in a flash point because "ohh I need it for vette" I could see companion gear quickly becoming a sticky issue in this game. BW should reconsider companion gear as it stands and instead adopt a system more like dragon age 2's (where companion gear was upgraded, and you got more upgrade slots by doing side quests etc for them)

if you paid 20 bucks extra to pre-order a product lemme know where you're buying from so I can avoid being ripped off at the same place

actually as I understand it, armor tech makes armor for soldier types and synthweaveing makes armor for force users. that said my jugger ought uses artifaceing. being able to make my own light saber mods has been useful

I think this game'll do fine, as was already noted, games that are massivly differnt from the base line model are taking a HUGE risk. people expect certin things of a MMO. bioware has taken some proven basics and used it to create this game. (one could argue mass effect just copied gears of war, is mass effect any less popular as a result?) now that said if your the type of player who power games to level cap and just does end game stuff, this game proably won;'t be for you.

indeed they'll be complaining that other people got a leg up on them (I notice they're totally unconcerned about people unable to pre-order who aren't even able to get into EA at all. ) if Bioware gets everyone in tomorrow that means they have offically surpassed expectations

if it's not already taken it likely means that the name is for some reason or another filtered out (perhaps due to bllood rayne?) try changeing the spelling while keeping the same sound. perhaps Raen?

remember our characters are exceptional individuals. Lethans may well be rare in the greater society, however they may for various cultural reasons be more common among the "Adventureing classes" also if Lethans are more common among the Sith it's possiable that Lethans simply make up a greater percentage of twi'leks among the sith then otherwise. MOST Twi'leks among the empire apparently can trace their linage back to POWs taken dureing the Great Hyperspace War. if for some reason the Sith simply took more Lethan Twi'leks prisoner (perhaps due to the sith species red skin they thus saw red skin as simply a more desireable trait period) this could have the result of Lethans being more common among the Sith's twi'lek population. Another factor to consider is cosmetics, it's entirely possiable that among the twi'leks they dye their skin (given the state of technology being able to change your skin colour is proably child's play) considering how popular dyeing hair is with women this certinly is a possiability

you guys of course are absolutly right, bioware should wipe the servers and cancel early access. only way to be fair to the people coming to the game on the 20th. ohh wait you're mostly just concerned if someone ELSE has an advantage over you right?

the thing that annoys me is not knowing WHEN I'll get in.

way I see it if I get in thursday (in 2 days, and with an early augest pre-order that seems likely if not earlier( I get in a day earlier then expected. I'm cool. sides LOTRO just released a new update I can always run instances there for a bit (too bad the new epic book is only like 45 minutes of content )

level 50 by thursday, bored by friday.

yeah but if the past is anything to go by a year from now some CE user is gonna be demanding bioware give em even more. which is downright silly when you think of it. (as bioware won't, presumably be making any more CEs to sell they have no reason to increase CE benifits a year from now)

I do have to say their not giveing us advance notice on when we'd get in is HIGHLY annoying.

the staggered launch doesn't annoy me, what annoys me is the way they go about it/. basicly informing you at the last minute. the end result is people checking their email constantly haveing no idea when they're going to get the "golden ticket" in their email. emailing people on the weekend with "your early access begins at this date and time" would IMHO have gone over better
