  1. One of the most annoying changes they made was a quest on Republic Balmorra. You are ordered to use a data spike to help the soliders, however it turns out the Sniper friends of the Twilek dude helping you have been kidnapped. Your Light Side choice to to tell Commander Modine you are defying orders and save the Snipers, Dark Side is to let the snipers die and follow orders. BUT, they removed the Light/Dark and just made the Light choice the default. The real problem is when it breaks immersion with a character. First time I noticed it was changed, I was playing a Ruthless, follow orders Republic Trooper. So Ord Mantell, Coruscant, Taris, Nar Shaddaa, she's followed orders without caring if that means innocents have to die, so be it. Suddenly thugh, she says "No, I won't leave innocents to die." that's literally what she says... It's like Wait, what? I've literally done that for 4 planets... and suddenly I have a conscience and I am a good and wholesome trooper? Uh.... no.
  2. Agreed. While I am male, I am ace and tend to prefer playing female characters, and yes I tend to put them in somewhat revealing clothes, but I do the combinations like you say. Also, I do have a few male characters too and I do love the Covert Armor... go for that shirtless look. Haha. Also the Gav Daragon Loin Cloth for pants, especially if the top has a nice hanging belt. Bold Hellion especially is one of my new favorites, a lot of my male companions wear that. In fact my newest Trooper does too, when she's in her "Mercenary" combat style (She's a Sniper/Mercenary since the update. Story being that she was a mercenary both in combat style and profession growing up, until she joined the Republic Military and starting training as a Sniper.)
  3. Yea, I tested and if I want to be nice and go to Tython and give a new player a sweet orange crystal, it would cost me 8000 credits. Totally free, but it wants me to pay 8000 credits. No, you are not in my guild for 30 days and even if you were, we arent giving you guild bank access. Then above I told the story of the Holocron of Fear.
  4. So today when doing Dread Fortress, a Holocron of Fear dropped. I don't have one, so I asked if I could get it if he didn't need it. He opened trade, and... canceled. 745,000 credits to give it to me for free. Like, What the heck? I told him I agreed, that was exorbitant and there is no way I'd pay that if we were reversed either. This is a person in an operation willing to give an item free of charge, and they have to pay a fee to do so? Of 745k? That's pure insanity, and the fact that I personally could pay that fee 2000 times over is completely beside the point. I am not the majority (and heck, I'm not anywhere near those that are the "problem" they think this will fix... those that are the actual problem wouldn't even blink like I do) who couldn't afford that. Plus, did I mention he wanted to give it to me free and clear? Again I say, before this patch I used to regularly go to Tython and give away free pink crystals to new players, but I quit. I'm sure the price to do so is probably way cheaper, but the price doesn't matter. I should be able to gift things to new players without paying a tax to do so.
  5. I'm reminded of when I used to play City of Heroes, they had a contest to win something, I forget what, but that doesn't matter. The game takes place in the fictional city of Paragon, located in the state of Rhode Island. However, the actual residents of the state of Rhode Island were excluded from the contest due to Rhode Island having some of the most draconian "consumer protection" laws in the USA. Basically, from what I recall and understood, NC Soft would have had to pay the state of Rhode Island a tax based on the value of the item and the number of participants in the contest. Didn't matter that you didn't have to pay to join the contest, Rhode Island required them to pay a fee to run the contest in the state of Rhode Island. It would have cost them a few thousand dollars (or more, again this was years ago but I know the price was extremely high) to give something away to their players for free. SO they just said "Rhode Island residents are ineligible." It was a point of hilarity to players. But the reason I am reminded is because its exactly the same thing that's happening here inside Star Wars if this goes to live. As I've said before, I love to gift stuff to new players. Be it a bronze or silver cartel speeder or outfit, or crafted color crystals (I love to craft up a bunch of magenta crystals and go give them to new players on Tython so they can have a pretty pink lightsaber.) But, just like Rhode Island did with City of Heroes, you're going to stop me doing that.
  6. That's still an issue. I have been known to just GIFT stuff to new players. I love to go to Tython and give crafted pink magenta crystals to newbie players that want a pink lightsaber. But I have to pay money to do that now? Sorry noobs, doesn't matter how rich I am, Bioware has decided you don't get free crystals from me anymore.
  7. Oh nice. I have two of those on one of my characters, but they were dropped and I've wanted to get them on other characters, but didn't want to pay the high GTN costs.
  8. Yea, they have for the most part discontinued the SWTORSK app and you just use like Google Authenticator now. I am still using SWTORSK on my iPhone with no problems, but I had a friend try downloading it and he couldn't get it to work, not even on his iPhone. He had to get the Google Authenticator, then he got it to work. I'm sure there will come a point where mine breaks, and I have to go through the trouble of switching to the Google Authenticator. I use it for some other games, so I COULD go ahead and swap SWtOR to it... but... I'm lazy.
  9. While I like that idea, not sure it would fit with how they are essentially two different planets. They'd have to hard lock them to each faction, and not sure they are going do that.
  10. Yea, they aren't going do that in a game. If you want to keep to that, you can. Just like you can choose to use a red lightsaber on your Sith characters and a blue or green lightsaber on your Jedi characters. But there was a time about 7 or so years ago before the influx of cartel market crystals when color crystals were tied to alignment (and not just for Jedi) as follows. Dark Side Characters (again, even gun users): Able to use Red, Orange, and Purple (yea, purple was dark side... go figure) color crystals. What's that? Your Imperial Agent just hit Light 1? Your blaster is now broken because you are not allowed to use that Red Crystal anymore. Light Side Characters (again, even gun users): Able to use Blue, Green, and Yellow crystals. Whats that? Your Jedi just fell to the dark side? Your lightsaber no longer works with that blue crystal! Better see if you can find a player to craft you a red crystal because there are no vendors that sell them. Good luck with that. Not to mention, when a weapon would drop or be given for a quest on Empire side, they'd usually have red crystals or vice versa for republic. So your Agent just got given a new weapon by the quest, but its' got a red crystal. You can't use it. It was stupid AF, it was universally hated and it only lasted like a month. Besides, one of my favorite characters is my "neutral" Sith Inquisitor, Larlinda. She's a sorcerer class wise, but story wise she only does good things. The only time she does dark side stuff is the Diplomacy crew skill and repeatable flash points. This allows me to keep her mostly neutral with the RP idea that while yes, she's a mostly good person, she IS using dark side abilities. But her altruism and such keep her from falling.
  11. Agreed. When they made that change, it annoyed me so much.
  12. Yea, I would love them to be in collections. But, at least now I only have to buy a single box of crystals then stash them in my legacy bank, stamp one with a weapon, then remove the crystal from the weapon and stash it back in my legacy bank. Would very much be better to not have them taking up space in my legacy bank though.
  13. The problem is that color crystals and tunings can be removed and it costs credits to do so. Dyes cannot be removed (rather they are destroyed.) So, to allow you to 'stamp' a weapon with a rare crystal, you need to have that weapon to stamp. It's a minor extra step, but you just need one copy of the weapon and the tuning/crystal, stamp it, then destroy the weapon as you don't need it anymore (though be sure if you are using a rare pvp crystal or one that isn't a cartel market crystal that you remove it first, don't want to destroy a non-cartel crystal!)
  14. I more want helmets to stop lobotomizing Twi'leks*. The addition of the new Ri'lek helmet is amazing, but seriously all helmets should have been like that from the start of the game. I would gladly give up my human bounty hunter being able to disguise herself as a Twi'lek to get lekku working like that on ALL headgear. * It was established in the books (now Legends) that twi'lek brains and nervous system extends into their lekku, so damaging them is not just cutting an arm, it's fully going to cause brain damage.
  15. Uh, maybe the OP doesn't want to kneel before Jedi/Sith Masters? That's really all I can think of based on the bold parts, assuming its' not just a troll post from the get-go.
  16. Hmm, okay that's maybe not so bad then if its only on credits, but at the same time, as others have said, that's still going to make it harder to help out friends and family. Like if I want to give my friend that is new to the game 100,000 credits to build some outfits in the outfitter (as I recently did) why should I have to PAY to do that? Just think limiting how much one can trade would be far better than penalizing players for doing so.
  17. The problem I have with this is that I love to go to the newbie planets and gift the old crafted color crystals to new players, especially some of the rarer pre-cartel market colors. I quite often get new player complement my magenta lightsaber, so I love being able to just give them that crystal. Now I am going to have to pay a FEE to give them something for free? Are they going to have to pay the fee? Either way, this is stupid. Far better as others have said, limit the total credit amount someone can trade directly, but don't do a fee. For example: Okay, I want to buy this 100,000,000 item you want to sell, but we can't trade more than 1,000,000 so we are going to make 100 trades of 1,000,000 credits. Oh and go ahead and give me the item with the first trade... or with the last... either way, nobody is going to do that. But a fee on all trades just punishes players who want to be nice. Please, do not do this.
  18. So, I just read on Swtorista's twitter about the upcoming changes to travel costs. Quick travel will now cost based on distance, and traveling to a stronghold will also. Thing is, why? Supposedly its' supposed to combat inflation as a credit sink, but... no. I have 2.5 billion credits and those travel costs will be a drop in the bucket for me, much less those sitting on the credit cap on multiple characters. So, all this will do is screw over the players who are NOT sitting on billions while those of us with billions keep our billions. Like... I'm not going to say what I'm thinking further, because it's against the forum rules, but...
  19. Wow, shows how long its been since I tried. So yea, they really need to bring back our ability to make our own choice, and hey if you go against your queued role and the group takes issue, well they can kick you.
  20. I won't mention the other game, but there is an MMO that adds elaborate convoluted hidden quests that gives you some meme reward. Like if SWtOR did something similar it would be this... Go to Tython and click a rock behind the Jedi Temple. Go to Mek-Sha and.. Go to Tatooine and... Go to Ossus and.... Go to Tython and... Go to Alderaan and.... Go to Voss and... Go to Taris and... Go to Balmorra and... Go to Manaan and... Go to Ruhnuk and... Go to Corscuant and... Go to about 20 more planets and do some obscure thing, alot of times having to walk through exhaustion zones without dying to get to a secret safe area inside the exhaustion zone. As a reward you get a unique cosmetic with a meme name, like a clock belt called the "Waist of Time." As for how these are figured out, there are entire guilds dedicated to finding this stuff.
  21. Um, can you not change with the "Field Respec" legacy perk? Isn't that what it's FOR?
  22. Not sure about crystals that are in items, but I do know that customer service can run a search script on your account or something, I've had them do it for me. They should be able to tell you which character it's on. Like for example, I thought I'd lost one of my two victorious armor sets, but they told me that I have one set equipped on character X and another set in the bank of character Y. Now if you overstamped it by accident, I am not sure if they can help you or not, as I've never had that issue, but it can't hurt to ask. EDIT: Ah damn I just noticed you did contact tham
  23. There are plenty of players that never come to the forums, for any reason. They may or may not be "enjoying the game and content" as you say, we don't know because they do not come to the forums. However, I have seen a LOT of talk about this in game on the Satele Shan server, and people there are not happy.
  24. Yea, but to get her on others npw you have to play 150CC.
  25. I agree mostly with the OP. I've been playing as a subscriber since launch, played the beta, and pre-ordered the Collector's Edition with the Malgus statue. While this new season isn't enough to make me unsub, i for sure won't be wasting my points on unlocking account wide gear, as that was a convenience. Sure, with exception of the mounts I can just swap the gun around to all my characters, a total pain but.... yea. Bioware, I was willing to pay you 10cc per item for the convenience of not having to swap these legacy items around to unlock them account wide. I am NOT willing to pay more than that. That said, if you decide to make the GS rewards character bound instead of legacy bound in the future, well... that really will be the last straw for me.
