  1. Never really had flirting happening, only some mild racism with my black characters.
  2. Seems like Revan has always been rediculously overconfident, thinking he can do anything on his own. Stop the mandalorians, conquer the republic, defeat the empire.. The last thing is just stupid. He should just have stayed and help rebuild the republic after Malak's rampage, you know.. take responsibility for his own actions. He could have helped prepare for the Sith empire's eventual attack and he could have prevented the Sith triumphate laying waste to the republic further. But nope, he left on a selfish quest for glory yet again. A shame that the novel/TOR revan is such a tool without redeeming qualities.
  3. I don't know what kind of rambling madman we see in TOR, but to me thats not revan. Looks nothing like him, is way too whiny and is simply just an idiot, claiming to be the first to have used the force on both sides. Doesnt even have the proper robe. I agree with others that there should never have been a canon revan. Just some facts and the rest could be left ambiguous. At the foundry Revan should just have been masked, silent and simply taking on the pose he took on in the TOR cutscene when facing Bastilla and her team. THAT would have been revan without ruining the entire character. Better yet, he shouldnt have been put in the game at all. Should be dead after three hundred years instead of being turned into a theme park attraction like any other boss in a flashpoint. I reject any supposed canon regarding Revan that doesnt allign with my Revan. It wasnt even my first playthrough that I saw as Revan, but my second.. Hence to me, the real Revan was a bald asian with a small black beard, and was dark side. Though I do picture him as more intelligent than the daft dialogue options of KOTOR allowed. Only part of KOTOR thats really badly done.. the player responses. "I want to be a jedi guardian!" Usually you had three options.. either giving someone your credits, saying no reward is needed, or threaten to kill someone to rob them of their credits.. Can't imagine a calculating sith which Revan was supposedly as a a strategic genius, shaking people down for some credits.
  4. My female characters tend to be dressed in quite a covered fasion. My jedi knight is properly clothed at all times, she does not care much for fasion and prefers modest jedi robes. Also has her her tied in a bun so that it won't get in the way. She's quite practical. Her make up is very light, just enough to be presentable. Her old sith mother is always wearing elegant dark clothing with long skirts, she won't show any skin under her neck. My bounty hunter prefers armor, isnt one to dress up at all. She's practicly a guy. Lacks any kind of charm and is pretty much a psychopath. I do have a Sith seductress as well, who does wear heavier make up and shows a bit more skin, but is still very much recognizeable as a Sith. She wears the shiny leather pants, Darth Sion's top along with some black boots and simple black gloves. Outfits may vary, but she does always wear pants. Being of noble birth she'd never wear a slave outfit.
  5. Well I'm a Roleplayer, I create all kinds of characters. I tend to prefer characters that are unique in both appearance and personality. You won't see me making any young adult clean shaven male heroes with a standard haircut. It's my Sith that look like that though. A family who are all blonde and with blue eyes since I did not want them to look like Sith They are nobility and are quite vain. But I have all kinds of characters.. a little old lady sith, a samurai like jedi master including the balding samurai haircut, a big butch female bounty hunter with short red hair, painted face and claw marks on her face, a female jedi with a burned face, A Black smuggler guy and his jedi brother, a middle aged sniper with mustache and goatee, and many others. With my female characters I want them to look unique too, hence why they usually arent the pretty kind. Or they are pretty but have severe scars in their face.
  6. I never understood why people would see themselves as their own character. Thats the creepy thing to me to be honest. Personly I see it more like the players are the writers, and their characters are the protagionists of their stories. George R R Martin does not look like Daenerys Targaryen either, but you arent picturing him when you see her on screen. Never understood why people care so much about the people behind the characters. As an RPer I dont care who or what you are, as long as you respect your fellow players.
  7. When you have killed all the servants for not cleaning your toilet properly, you will have to do it yourself. Must be hell working for a Sith with a germ phobia.
  8. lol, EA wouldnt know a good business model if it slapped them in the face. They must be devastated that they didnt get the worst company of the year award this time. It's never been due to a lack of trying on their part after all.

Having toilets would require the development team to put some thought into area design, instead of every mansion, sewer, prison, or other structure all being pretty much the same in layout aside from some object placement. It's all just rediculously oversized corridors, hallways and huge rooms. Aside from some small hovels where people are supposed to live... a bed and a table means its a home I gues.
  10. The imperial stories tend to be a bit better since its new ground still, usually you are the good guy and can do bad things, but here you are the bad guy and can do good things. Baras has good voice acting, but is poorly written for plot purposes. He fails at everything and theres no reprisal no matter how much you taunt him and mock him. Thats a flaw in the entire game though. EVERYONE is rediculously incompetent to make the player feel extra super special. A shame since Baras did have potential. More so than Malgus. Never was much of a Malgus fan. Killing the woman he loves because shes a weakness to him seems like a much bigger weakness even since that would imply he cant even keep a single person safe. He was also too quick to betray the empire, his empire crashed before it even began. I gues again poor writing can be blamed for that though, but I just never was too fond of Malgus at all and can't see why he is supposedly so popular. Just another backstabbing sith that kills his own master for their shared faillure. Whats his face in the sith inquisitor storyline was just a terrible antagionist though. you supposedly defeat him several times, but each time somehow it doesnt end for some lame reason or he runs away again. Kind of shows how far all these stories are dragged out. Reminds me of those three hour movies that should have lasted just two hours, you know? Considering its an MMO, the stories could have had more meat to it. But in essence its just as long as the KOTOR story. You just get sidetracked by often very minor objectives instead of focusing on whats important. As for why I play this game, I bought it for Roleplay purposes.
  11. KOTOR was the very first game where Bioware used ingame cutscenes, for many games it was still quite basic back then. It is something Bioware has improved on further in each new game though. Considering how Bioware has improved in some fields, it just makes it all the more sad how their story telling ability has suffered for it. There was a time they where practicly the best at telling stories in videogames, I'd say they surpassed half the star wars movies with KOTOR storywise. They should get back the writers that worked on KOTOR, the artists too. With less graphical advancements they managed to portray the setting so much better. Can't say I noticed any really bad voice acting in KOTOR, alien dialogue did get a little repetitive at times but thats it. And the player responsed where a bit simple. Not that the player dialogue is that much better in TOR either though since often you say things that are completely different than what you'd think you would say or its one of few very often repeated lines. Like sith warriors saying everywhere "your life is about to end"
  12. Neat that there is a lot of story, but this high quantity sadly has meant a downright dramatic decline in quality compared to previous Bioware games. Both the quality of the voice acting, the storylines themselves and the narration are simply not very good at all. Yes it's an MMO, but not even amongst the major characters theres much noteable voice acting going on. A lot of it is quite poorly written when you start analysing it a bit, motivations rarely match with backgrounds of characters. Usually rediculous scenarios are thrown in for the sake of adding a good/evil decision. I mean, what idiot designed the esseless? why would a reactor reset vent engineering? Why is there zero emotion or sense of urgency comeing from asara and the guard officer during an urgent situation? How would Asara be less noticeable in a guard uniform when she's the only woman and only twi'lek amongst the guards? KOTOR's opening showed how an attack on a ship needs to be handled, it had the urgency of a new hope's opening, the desperation. We don't even get a dramatic soundtrack here. Thats just one example of many. As for quality of voice acting, even the most minor NPC in KOTOR had a unique voice, filled with emotion. It was much more immersive even while many NPC's shared the same face. And for the narration.. it just does not work so well when you never get to see the enemies plotting, or other important situations where you as the player are not present to see it. Malak, Loghain, Saren and many other great villains of other Bioware games would not have been very memorable if we only saw them when actually encountering them. It's the cutscenes that show them away from the player, that makes you want to take them down. In all of TOR, I have yet to find a descent villain. Practicly all of them are nothing more than cartoon villains and juvenile heroes. It lacks the maturity of previous bioware games. Where KOTOR captured the atmosphere and immersion of the star wars movies very well, TOR barely seems to be the same setting even.
  13. Should just do it like guild wars 2 and not have this come up at all, each player simply getting their loot on an individual basis. Really wish this game promoted teamwork more, GW2 rewards players for helping each other.

  15. Depends.. different people are bothered by different things. Morons doing their naked dance around RPers are easily ignored, they get reported for harassment and get put on ignore. They always seem to think they are the first to do such a thing and seem to think RPers will respond to them.. any RPer worth their salt will not pay attention to them.
  16. Yeah, I prefer realistic stuff, or at least whats realistic in this SW universe.. the stuff that looks like it could have been in the movies.

  18. Please, no more skills adding with an increased level cap, or just remove some then. Way too many skills already, I'd much prefer to have a handfull of skills that all mean something instead of having lots of stuff with slight differences. Its just a clumbsy system when you need so many seperate skills.
  19. Only people with a complete lack of attention span cannot be immersed in anything. Using movies as an example, immersion can help a great deal, depending on the genre. You don't need to be immersed in most comedies, its simply stuff to laugh at most of the time. However westerns and horror movies are some good examples of where immersion is everything. Dawn of the Dead has rather simple special effects for example, but it somehow manages to capture the atmosphere so well.. the desperation, the struggle for survival. Thats some great immersion there. The typical western takes its time to set the tone, slowly building up tension, making you wonder when it will come to a breaking point. Again, immersion. Hence why the western genre is dead now. These days everything must be fast, shallow and with non stop action.
  20. If that fixes the damn bug that causes lekku to look weird and broken whenever a twi'lek has a lightsaber drawn, please! they never did anything to fix that.
  21. Immersion can make or break a game. Rome 1 total war has immersion, Rome 2 does not. To give a good example of it. As for TOR... I feel its too cartoony in many regards. A lot of armor designs are just silly, it often does not look like its from the same universe. Yes its a different time, but KOTOR had it right. The best kind of armors and weaponry for this game are the stuff that looks like it could have been in the movies even though it wasnt in there. Same kind of art style, you know? It goes for the story too. Most jedi are mary sues, most sith are cartoon villains and everyone but the player is extremely incompetent just to make the player feel extra special.. all common sense is thrown aside for this, often dramatic tension is created to get some light/dark decision even when its not logical. Take the esseless flashpoint for example. WHat kind of idiot would design a ship in a way that when a reactor is reset, everything is blown into space? That doesnt make sense.. also, everyone is very relaxed and casual despite the dramatic situation. Taking their sweet time to talk about a plan. Ironfist isnt doing anything either once securing the bridge.. just waiting there for you to come fight him. And now compare this with the opening of KOTOR. That's the kind of desperation there should be when a ship is under attack. The music, the dialogue.. it all fits. And esseless is still one of the best flashpoints, most dont even much dialogue or choices.
  22. Good to see they are putting more effort and adding more new meshes in these packs, more lore outfits. Will it kill them to add those wide sleeves to a jedi outfit however? its always for sith outfits. Also, lots of sith lore outfits here, but no jedi outfits.
  23. Quality is certainly improving, more unique models, lore outfits this time instead of a lore outfit being the highlight of the entire pack. Though I do wonder by both feature so many sith outfits and again so few jedi outfits. There's already a lot more sith lore outfits than jedi lore outfits.
  24. I'd say Guild Wars 2 is a lot better even though I play TOR more. I play TOR more since the setting is more appealing, I'm part of a roleplaying guild and have been roleplaying quite a bit here already. It simply is a lot smarter designed than TOR, easier to use. It shows that Arenanet has more experience with MMO's and also that they didnt get restricted by EA. If GW2 was published by EA, it would have been the same thing as GW1 but with fancier graphics and a subscription fee that offers extra benefits to subscribers.
  25. They sure could add some more music to the game yes, like having different music for some regions of a planet instead of the same music everywhere. Bioware has always been strong with music, but in this game its kind of meh. Good at some points but mostly not so much.
