  1. I'm not comparing content. It's obvious WoW should have more content, seeing it as been out longer. But Bioware shouldn't have a game with ****** *** out of date systems. No where did I state the content should have been similar. And WoW has ALWAYS has multiple zones for certain levels. Each race (excluding orc+troll and dwarf + gnome) has it's own starting zone, plus they continue to have different zones until a certain level in which it would intersect.
  2. If you read one of my posts, I even state I didn't fully understand the meaning of a sandbox mmo. I just meant the game was far too linear.
  3. Sorry, running around collecting boring holocrons that offer nothing but a tiny stat boost is not considered "exploration" in my books.
  4. So are we supposed to compare the vanilla version of a 2011 game to the vanilla version of a 2004 game? Of course not. SWTOR is against the 2011 WoW. This means it should be not have outdated systems and feel like a 2011 game. EDIT: And btw, I didn't really understand the meaning of a sandbox mmo. I just meant the game was far too linear.
  5. Everything feels so boxed in. Planets are just a 3-6 zones that all happen to look the same. There is zero exploration, you just go from one zone to the next, following the same path until you are finished then move onto the next planet. They don't even feel like actual planets. I know people may be sick of WoW comparisons, but in WoW the continents actually felt like.. well, continents. You could go from one end to the other without any loading screens. It hardly felt boxed in, seeing as there were multiple paths to get out of a zone to the next. You had far more choice, as in before 60 (and somewhat in 60-80) there were multiple zones to choose from. And what just makes it even worse Bioware decides to just spread things out to make the players feel like they are actually exploring.. when really we just have a larger distance to cover to do our quests. I know it can't just be me with these thoughts. This game is incredibly linear, and almost offers no choice. You're stuck doing the same linear 3 quest chains then move into next zone or else you have to just grind warzones/flashpoints.
  6. Well, I'd suggest the Darth Bane trilogy, seeing as you don't want it to be about the characters from the movies. It's a really great series.
  7. I just remembered how in the book "Revan", the Exile makes absolutely no mention of how she rebuilds the order (or even what happens), and we are given zero clue to what happened with the Jedi Order... I mean.. it must have happened fast. It is around 3 years from when Revan leaves to when the Exile finds him, so that means the Exile must have rebuilt the order in a very short time frame...
  8. I just finished reading the Revan novel, then went to re-watch the ending to the foundry encounter. However, this time I watched the light side version, which has more dialogue. which is here. I am completely baffled. Revan just completely rejects their help. I know he obviously would be afraid of betrayal, because of Lord Scourge and whatnot, but then he rants on about how he is the only one who understands the Emperor, and how the Emperor's death is his responsibility. Then goes on about all the things he has done, and how the randoms won't stop him. He is completely arrogant, and he is nothing like he once was. Granted, he has been in a prison in a constant mental battle for 300 years.. but still. His face and voice don't even annoy me, I kinda like them, but his entire personality is just.. wrong.
  9. Made me want to roll a Jedi Knight. It was really awesome, and the ending with Bastila made me a bit sad but happy at the same time. Honestly, I wasn't bothered by the Exile having a name. The characters were much better when they are fleshed out, and made me like Revan even more as he actually had a personality, not just because I played him in a game. Would have been cooler to meet some others from the old gang, but I was fine with them being mentioned.
  10. For some reason, I have the hardest time targeting people in warzones. It's incredibly annoying and leaves me at a disadvantage, they just seem to move so fast or something. I've played other MMOs, and have never had this problem. It may be because of lag, because I mostly have 15-25 fps, but I don't have much of a problem anywhere else. Is it just me, or what?
  11. Not really. Bane understood that the Dark Brotherhood was a disgrace to the old sith. He spent alot of time reading about the past sith, and understood that the Dark Brotherhood was breaking the rules of "the strong rule the weak", which is a core fundamental in the Sith. So not all sith were weak, just the ones in the Dark Brotherhood.
  12. I love people who think the prequels were made for children, then they clearly ignore the childish Ewoks from the originals. Worst part of the original movies. Would have been much better with wookies.
  13. I know, while reading I realized that even if Bane lost I'd still be partially happy, because his apprentice surpassing him and carrying on the Sith legacy is what he wanted most. Still saddening to see him go, he is definitely one of my favorite characters in all of the Star Wars lore.
  14. Darth Bane trilogy is incredibly epic, and made Bane my favourite sith lord.
  15. I just finished reading the last of the Darth Bane trilogy (incredibly epic btw), and was a bit confused at the ending. *spoilers if you haven't read it* I was kinda disappointed when it seemed like Zannah won, but the last few lines indicate that Bane might have actually won. Now obviously I went to wookiepedia to see if who won, but it just says that Zannah won, but a part of Bane was still inside her. Now I don't see how they could come to that conclusion unless there was some other story that was released, so is it true that Zannah beat Bane in the final battle of will?
  16. http://www.futureshop.ca/EN-CA/product/id/10180942.aspx Specs: 6GB RAM i5 3.00 GHz NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 Now I know the graphics card is what is probably not the greatest, but would I be able to upgrade it with a ATI Radeon 5570? I know the power supply (by further looking into the specs) can handle it, but I'm not sure if that means it is compatible.
  17. Would this computer run swtor decently? Pentium® Dual-Core CPU E6500 @ 2.93GHz CPU Speed: 2.95 GHz System Memory: 4 GB Video Card Model: NVIDIA GeForce GT 220 Desktop Resolution: 1152x864 Hard Disk Size: 698.36 GB And by "run" I mean run it decently. Like above 20+ fps on low settings. Because my other laptop with these specs: Intel® Core i3 CPU M 330 @ 2.13GHz 4.00 GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 can not do that, or at least keep a constant 20+ fps.

  19. ***.. no chance. Tons of people who are above minimum specs can hardly play the game at all.
  20. I start at around 30-60 fps (60 in ships, phased areas) and then dip down to 10 or so after a couple of minutes. Anyone know why?
  21. When I first start the game up, I get around 30+ fps, and can reach up to 60. After a couple of minutes however, it always goes down to 10 and it horrible to play. It never goes back up. Anyone know why?
