  1. Thanks all... email finally showed up. Instructions in email were same as others posted. Be warned... if you have another char that's holding the name you want to use... delete them prior to logging in the char you wish to rename. Alternatively.. use the token, force quit the game with alt+F4... reload the client.. and check your char sheet for a pending (Rename) button on your char sheet.. then go delete your nameholder... relog the toon to rename.. and rename them from the char sheet.
  2. Eric, I don't see it in the patch notes nor do I see anything in my game mail, or regular email. Did this get delayed again? Or did my account get overlooked? Thanks in advance.
  3. To those who are holding BOUND items and not seeing them in your collection, hit your ship (less populated instance).. dump your contents into your cargo bay, then retrieve to inventory. This SEEMS to speed up the process. All my CE gear finally showed up when I did that, as well as my holostatue collection, and recovery items. On another topic, are TITLES updating for anyone? My CE title and my PTS titles didn't show up until I popped on a lv1 and reused the items.
  4. Implementation issue: Gladiator Striker's Techblade. There is no way to bind this to an inquisitor as it is a techblade and not usable by my char or any of my companions, therefore I cannot enter it into my collection. --edit added suggestion-- Perhaps add a drag/drop method or right click context menu sort of thing to bind items w/o equipping.
  5. Quality of life would be greatly improved if: 1) Players could copy keymaps between chars. 2) If rebinding movement keys didn't break them for space combat. 3) If hitting return to med center during an instanced operation returned you to the medcenter INSIDE THE INSTANCE, instead of loadscreen... fleet... load screen... 4) If companions would step outside AoE once per fight the way mobs do. 5) If a companion would pop out in a group of 3 automatically. 6) If companions would automatically pop out once your group has shrunk down to 2 players. 7) If you could UNBIND RIGHT CLICK from QB1-B1. 8) There were guild tax% and tithe% features (tax rate set according to guild rank, and tithe rate set by player) for despositing funds automatically to the GB.
  6. Not to detract from your efforts but 1 thing I must point out.. http://oneil.com.au/nefash/tips.html - Use direction keys. You may wish to note that portion of your guide only applies if you use the default keymappings, as remapping the keys will result in the loss of ability to control your ship from the keyboard.
  7. 615 presence on my main... following moseover stats apply: Companion Health: +3075 Companion Damage: +123 Companion Healing: +86.1 It's not HUGE at high level, and it's not something that makes a dramatic difference. But it is noticable if you stack 50 presence at a time.
  8. On harb people have generally been advertising selling at 3kea and buying at 1kea. As for actual negotiated prices, I couldn't say.
  9. Title sums it up. I don't recall wether there was one planned for today or not, and seem to be failing at searching today.
  10. If Creature Handler and Droidmech were implemented as "pet classes" I'd roll 1 of each. I like the idea of a non-jedi/sith melee like a Pit Fighter, Gladiator. The idea of a buff/CC class intrigues me. Witches of Dathomir possibly? Really what i'd like to see most are force sensitive types who aren't jedi/sith. If anyone can figure out a way to get them into the game w/o breaking canon i'd love to hear more.
  11. How far are we going back and what genre's? Because for me starting at the beginning you'd be hearing about things like pong, zork, rogue, space quest, M.U.L.E. (still best game ever), Midi Maze (my 1st LAN game if you would consider a midi ring a LAN) and a host of others I'm sure that quite a few haen't ever heard of. If we limit to MMO's.. Things i played for a while... EQ, EQ2, SWG, WoW, Rift, PSO With brief stints in Aion, Free Realms, Allods, Forsaken World, Free Realms (much better than I thought it would be), Star Wars: The Clone Wars Adventures (much worse than i was hoping it would be), and probably half a dozen others that left much less of an impression.
  12. Ya, inside house Thul... off to the right upstairs iirc. I never found a breadcrumb to get me there, just happened to stumble across it.
  13. OMG I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!!! That in itself could make for a very interesting story. Your "programming" is determined by the conversation responses you select. Were you programmed to help out the mositure farmer, or kill them outright, and ultimately why were you programmed the way you are (possibly by whom also). Already i'm seeing how this would work well in the themes of the existing storylines, although significant rewrites would be required for droid PCs.
  14. Ya the coming soon is kind of a bummer, but since latency issues affect pretty much ALL of the game we can probably safely assume that it's a high-priority issue. Also I seem to recall a post that indicated there were a number of separate issues that were contributing factors that have been identified and have fixes OTW as their test cycles complete. If you poke through the past 3-5 pages of the dev tracker, or past few QnA's I'm sure it's in there somewhere.
  15. I just hope the trend continues. As I mentioned in another post, to me it feels like a community when I see them posting on the forums. Sure there hasn't been any new breaking news or whatnot (save the F2P QnA), but their sheer presence on the forums and pointing out who specifically is working on certain issues gives me ALOT more confidence than the previous information vacuum.
  16. You must have missed this: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=5006855#edit5006855
  17. This is a pretty common complaint across large portions of the forums (I believe the agent/smuggler healer tend to focus on this alot). 1 suggestion I can offer is scale up your entire UI as well as the character portraits/ops frames, then reduce the size of everthing else individually. It's NOT an optimal solution, but it might be enough to limp you to the next UI overhaul where many of us HOPE that we'll see a separation of the buff bar scalibility from the portrait/ops frames.
  18. Any server-wide legacy unlocks should remain in effect (my wife has confirmed this, for similar reasons to your own). Any character specific ones will be lost with the deletion of the character (I've confirmed that myself).
  19. So basically what's being said is that some Cathar will suffer from Stockholm Syndrome or similar? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stockholm_syndrome
  20. I'm probably one of the 5 people out there that could care less for Cathar, Wookie, Rodian, Bothan, Bith, Trandoshan, and just about every other species in Star Wars. However, I would ADORE the option to play a Droid. One of the things I admired about Star Wars from as far back as I can remember was that droids were a vibrant part of the universe. They all had personality IMO. From R2, to the silly little mouse droid on the Death Star, they were never pigeonholed into the role of "just a machine" for me. I was partly saddened when the April Fools joke joke the Ship Droid Experience was announced, because at that moment, It seemed like I was alone in my wish to see playable droids (as they were brazenly protrayed as teh butt of the joke). But many days later when I saw the results of the big species I was pleasantly surprised to see how many people liked the idea of a playable droid. I don't care if it's a battle droid, a trashcan, or a gonk. I'd reroll my BH immediately to have a droid BH. I might even reroll my trooper, smuggler and agent also to play them as droids, because... you know... droids are epic in the Star Wars universe..
  21. Hey Amber, I've got a quick question for you.... does the /bug tool now automatically record basic information requested in the how to submit a bug report instructions located here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=257#anchor4, or do players still need to input that information manually? For ease of reference, the relevant portion of the instructions from that page...
  22. Well due to a website issue i lost the original post i tried to put up earlier today.. so I apologize for the brevity of this rehash. Joveth.. Pure and simple i've been losing faith that Bioware cares about this game at all steadily since about February. A few things the community team can do to help rebuild some consumer confidence for me; 1... Really dive into the forums and integrate with the players. Even simple little responses like 'food for thought, i'll bring it up with the devs." to any number of the suggestions players give is better than leaving us all wondering if your team actually exists. And it doesn't have to be strictly related to game, I'm sure we'd all welcome the CM team and Devs alike into the discussions about what we had for breakfast, or who is the best Rodian in the SW universe. just make your team's presence KNOWN. 2... Centralize the information on SWTOR.com. It's great that you guys have twitter and facebook accounts and whatnot, but for those of us trying to keep up with the changes, having to scour 85 different sites is trying at best. When there's relevant discussions on twitter, mirror them on SWOTR's forums. When there's a new announcement, put it in the forums, and then link it from your twi/fb acct or whatever, not the other way around as sometimes happens. 3... More guided feedback conversations. The current practice seems to be: team creates a post that requests specific feedback, we respond... x days later thread gets locked with a "thank you for participating message". I realize there's probably other things occupying time, but still having a more interactive discussion (similar to this thread with your regular responses) engenders a LOT of goodwill from my perspectve. If you can get each dev to take 20 min out of their day for 1 pet project thread each, I think you'd get an overwhelmingly positive response from teh players. 4... This one is an usual suggestion, but bear with me. Hold your dev's accountable. If there is a BIG issue that's affecting a large number of players, figure out who's responsible and let us know that you know there's an issue and it's been brought up to the correct team, assigned to specific team member, who is currently working on a fix. Seriously, I'd adore that kind of post. because it illustrates to me a number of things... 1.. the post hasn't fallen on deaf ears... 2... it shows that you're doing your job by taking community concerns to the devs... 3... it informs US that the correct team is aware of the issue... and 4... it informs us that the issue is having a resolution worked on. Thanks! TLDR version.... in short.... spend more time letting us know that you're here doing your job, rather than just popping in once a month to say you are. because the other 27 days, effectively MY perception is your team doesn't exist.
