  1. Not a single iota of information from Bioware have indicated this was any need to do asap update. And why not do it at a more smooth time? Your comment speak of ignorance to people who has a real life outside MMO! I for example might been busy during most of the week and got commitment for Sunday etc., and wherefore suddenly got my prime game time deleted. Time that I pay for (it is a small cost but I do pay for it and expect a service). Frankly I get dead tired of all these "I have a life and don't care" comments as well with all who says that we paying customers have no right to complain about this. Anyway, It is just too much for me... l need to be assured I can play during my own prime time gaming slot and that seems impossible here. I have cancelled my subscription (have 16 days left) and will stay away for a while and I hope Bioware gets their stuff together and change a lot of their information policies and server downtime scheduling. Another factor making up a huge part of me (temporarily) leaving is the complete lack of any reply to all the discussions going on in the crafter forum. Take care, may the force be with you!
  2. lol Or maybe we are busy the other days and a Saturday morning to lunch server downtime mess up plenty planned swtor gaming. It is more likely that you have no life except for MMO since you are not bothered about game downtime or anything else swtor related.
  3. It is unbelievable how disrespectful they are to EU customers... patching (seemed to be a pretty useless patch) on prime gaming time doesn't make any sense at all, except for telling "we don't care at all about you". I have so far invested a lot of time in swtor, one main and 5 alts in order to be able to craft all kinds of gear, and it feels like Bioware treat me like ****! Who knows, maybe all for good since I took time to download the EVE Online client and started a 14-day trial account. Will check in next weekend i.e. then I have long uninterrupted playtime, and continue my gaming. Until then testing of something else.
  4. Seriously, you must change your server update regime. It is not acceptable that you constantly screw us European users. Never any impact on US players whilst I am unable to play until 1pm on a Saturday. Do you think that makes for happy customers! Regards!
  5. I dont think that crafters should be able to make gear that compete with highest level PvP gear, or it should at least be damn difficult. The crafter should at a minimum have max Valor and some of the crafting materials should only be availble from PvP warfronts. Where I come from: I am overall quite happy woth the crafting system and hope it never gets easier to be successful with RE and want rare mats to remain rare. Instant gratification kids should not craft.
  6. Will only quickly respond by saying that I do play the game as I like but I can still care about how others get certain gear. Make useful comments or none at all. I do not indicate that all valor should be stripped, only all that have been gained at Ilum and I do not think Bioware will go so far. Valor have impact! Do not say anything else. This is not PvP forum specific as it affects everyone, not only PvP players. I am certain Bioware will do something, but I still like to express my opinion and I am pretty certain they will not do enough!
  7. ... a considerable amount of the valor points and all the gear that lvl 50 players have got from the freakishly non-working Ilum PvP planet. I belong to the majority(?) of players taking their time to get a character up to lvl 50, being constrained in time and also the fact that I hate to rush through content but rather play quite slow with multiple alts. It is very frustrating that you constantly have give away high level gear to anyone at Ilum, and you really need to level out the gamefield and possibly reset some of the game mechanics. Regards, - from getting tired of seeing extreme game inbalance
  8. sorry "alt" in post above should of course be "companion"... earlier post edited.
  9. This is not an extreme crafting game (or even a moderate one), none have ever told you it is... and I do think that I can keep making items for all kind of people who level an alt or two, and I also expect updates to the existing craftable gear. BTW, the post you quoted was not directed to you. It was directed to a person who posted false information. Nevertheless, you are correct in the statement that I like the system, but I also expect much more to come!
  10. I find them extremely useful... I make superior gear for all my alts and all their companions, I sell plenty of blue/purple gear (market is fine), and I enjoy having equipment that I have made myself with materials that I have gathered. And it is a blast being a gathering nerd and always go towards a gathering node instead of trying to complete quests in the quickest possible way.
  11. lol... you really don’t understand how crafting works in this game. I am happy if you spend an average of 3 hours per item you make whilst I spend an average of 5 min per item I make (considering having multiple companions and doing other stuff while I gather mats). So please stay a looser and let others making a blast of cash on the market.
  12. Another post I agree 100% with! But it will of course not happen so I secretly wish most people posting here will just quit the game and do something else... which would allow me to continue playing as I like without instant gratification in everything I do. BTW, I craft and a sell a lot of items! The thing every QQ post here tell is impossible. I especially enjoy the cry-babies posting about not being able to get raid schematics, and their reason is that only a small part of the MMO population raid. Well, that makes you crafted gear only better and easier to sell to everyone else. And stop crying about the highest quality PvP gear. Those players getting max valor and all that gear has never (and will never) been your target for selling gear at max level. However, they buy everything while they level up their new alts since PvP is extremely individual and they always want to have the best possible gear.
  13. More craftable BoE within each craft profession would be nice… However, please give this some time or stay away from swtor for another 5-6 months and let the game develop a bit. I am sure the developers have pretty good statistics over the sells done at the GTN and how craft gear gets distributed to alts/friends etc. and they will make changes. Allowing each craft profession some quite good raid-quality BoP makes perfect sense if you see it as professions having trade secrets and whereby perks they not let anyone use. Just because you might have 6 craft alt to support your main that does nothing but gathering doesn’t mean your individual characters should support your making of a super-character that directly jumps to a high gear level.
  14. The idea that you will first just wait looking non-stop with blank blurry eyes at the computer while you do a single mission (not doing anything with your other companions) is silly. And after that you start walking around in the world gathering materials for only a single item, and finally you go back to staring at the screen for hours making a single item! So incredible stupid post that it become ridiculous… YOU GATHER AND DO MISSIONS WHILE BEING BUSY WITH OTHER STUFF and you will as well make multiple items while being offline (you do know it is possible to queue up to 5 item per companion).
  15. I enjoy crafting a lot, and it seems that you do to… but you don’t enjoy to swapping alts every 5 min to send out on constant missions. Trust me then I say it is not needed. And it is also only yourself that force you to play like that. Take time to enjoy what you are doing instead of playing the game in a way you obviously do not like. In case you wonder... I have an alt for every professions, but I don’t rush them or their crafting since I fully expect this MMO to exist for some time. So whilst I might spend 3-4 hours occasionally just sending companions on missions (real missions no slicing junk), I also take time to enjoy the game and make sure to have a fun time.
  16. This is your own doing... none is forcing you to log on your 5 craft alts (main = the toon you currently quest with) every half hour or so. It is you who wants to play like that so make sure you enjoy it or do it different.
  17. I have to disagree 100%, this is one of the better craft for your level systems I seen in an MMO (I have not played any hardcore crafting game) and the gear my characters make for each others is always much better than any quest rewards and almost to 90% better than any commendation rewards.
  18. agreed... number of minmaxers who get kicked is always high! People who know how to heal, tank etc. without wiping their raids stay every time. Of course, the OPs guild seems a sure failure.
  19. I might very well be much better at so many other things compared to your extreme focus on gear that I any day outperform you any day... no matter if I tank, heal or dps. min/max is never as important as knowing what do and avoid being the one who wiped the raid which extremely focused min/max dps raiders seems to manage every day.
  20. not sure you understand... I was stating that a good end game raid guild have raiders for which you don't need to tell them things like bring pots etc. You seems to be the kind of person who would never do more than anyone else, I am the kind of person who always expect to compete in the very top but I don't minmax to the extreme. I simple know extremely well how to do my part as a tank or healer. People like you never last in a good guild!
  21. NO, and no again in case you did not understand the first NO! A good hardcore raid guild have no problem at all motivate its members to have the best possible gear and be prepared with all needed raid consumables. No problem at all! people with your opinion don't last long since they need to be constantly reminded and told what to do. My experience is that guilds that you probably think is casual just due to their seemingly easy going approach can be a lot more successful than your so called min/max guild. And most likely having better gear etc. just due to being better players that get further much quicker.
  22. that sound like a really stupid guild leader that will not keep a core of good professional raiders for a long time, because we just don't take crap from fools!
