  1. This 100%... Also, min/maxing has nothing with being a good raider (I usually notice the opposite) and it has nothing to do with being part of a hardcore raid guild taking down bosses. Good raiders outperform every time!
  2. you must have experienced a very sad and moronic bunch of guilds... join guilds that play better!
  3. If you want to sell to raiders you do raids, or get raid schematics etc. from raiders in your guild (if that is possible). If you sell to all else (and the market is huge)… just do it! It is perfectly viable as it is and I am making cash all the time by crafting for others and selling at the GTN. Cheers! P.S. a guild would not force you to spend dkp if you craft for the guild (or at least not any I would stay in).
  4. LOL LOL LOL not at all, a bad player is still a bad player
  5. change guild... if this happens now, just try to think about all other knee-jerk idiot decisions your guild will make.
  6. Feels like we play two different games... you don't seem to enjoy a single second but rushing through content and declare it old. I take time and enjoy every second of it. Maybe for an elitist like you but not for the large majority of players who like to see and interact with others, either it be crafting or occasional flashpoints, operations etc. End game seems fine and will for sure improve with time. Not all do PvP You can recoup that cash by selling at the GTN, also are you sure about the cost??? 3 millions??? I feel for you! Good for you, but you seems to play that alt like your quickly rushed main. I already know from your comments above that you are an elitist and much better than a sensible progression raider like me can ever be... (other games)
  7. I don't have biochem so I have plenty of reason to buy stuff at the GMT, and you can make some of it. Also, do you intend to only play your single rushed through character or will you have alts? Plenty of reason for you to buy thing on the GMT since all professions craft gear that is widely superior to the quest drops and most of the commendation stuff. So you can do plenty of shopping to make your next levelling experience smother. I am having a blast selling lvl 23-25 gear and making loads of cash. Finally, I have yet to find an MMO that I enjoy to play that has craftable stuff that is useful for highest level of endgame. I am as a crafter quite please to supply gear for any entry-raider, anyone who dont raid etc. And it is always new characters who need gear.
  8. All you do is to provide constant misinformation and lies… you can still make a lot of cash from missions! The fact that you never ever talk about gathering nodes just proves that you want cash in your hand for no work at all. Go out and work for your cash like anyone else. If you don’t like the time investment spent, well change skill but stop crying about the loss of your credit-printer. Plenty of slicer exists, and we can sell the missions we get or use them ourselves, and we constantly make cash on missions (don’t do the highest levels and pick small risk missions). +5k per hour (5 companions) is very doable. Add the cash from slicing nodes and selling missions etc. on the GTM! Wow a fortune is being made!
  9. I cannot fathom that this is so hard to understand… you still make loads of free cash on slicing missions by constantly sending all free companions on the appropriate (not highest level or the high risk) missions and get bonus blue/purple one-time missions to use or sell. You can gather cash from nodes that on average pay out more per node than any other gathering profession that has to sell on the GTM. Direct cash in the pocket and you are still not happy. 1 of my 6 characters has cyber/slice/UT. Doing quest + gather slice nodes + the correct missions and I see my cash pile up after shopping scavenging materials at the GTM. So slicing is a very viable gathering skill that if anything provides advantages compared to all other skills.
  10. Are you for real… slicing is one of three skills a character can pick up (and most have additional characters), so you can very well also have a crafting skill. And to the person saying that slicing nodes are hard to come by. Have you even been out in the world instead of continued you mission based slicing, because slicing nodes are abundant. By the way, it is still possible to make quite a lot free cash from slicing by sending out all companions not used for anything else. No other gathering skill has this free cash! But you can’t do high risk class 6 missions and believe you will go 3k plus on every one. Anyone wanting it to go back to that state is just greedy and wants to make cash by being afk. SLICING IS A GATHERING SKILL!
  11. So you have a viable way of making a lot of cash in addition to the free gathering you can do! What is your problem, want cash non-stop on a plate and not make any work yourself?
  12. I agree 100% with the OP... crafting is very viable in this game, and it even sells well if you know what to do.
  13. You are amazing value for the time spent reading the OP... Slicing is a gathering skill and you make cash by slicing in the open world just like other gatherers find craft materials. Using it as a mission skill cost cash but you can get one time blue/purple missions that sell very well or can be used by yourself. So the skill is perfect as it is now. Lack of cash??? Wow, you really have not been out in the world doing quests etc. Cash is easy to come by and it is no lack of sells happening on the Galactic Trade Market. I personally buy low level crafting mats, make stuff, and sell it to anyone who like to get a bit of better stats... and better stats makes you do quest, collect cash even quicker and I can sell something again at a slightly higher level.
  14. yes... and they are very valuable!
  15. It is a nice cybertech perk, i.e. something that is for you only and not for anyone without the skill. Actually pretty nice for each crafting skill to have such items.
  16. you dont lose a companion... you have plenty of them that can give you some extra credits while you and your current questing companion do other things. BTW, I generally make 4-500 per mission and any crit result certainly adds the extra for you to not care about failed missions. And gathering is 100% free credits!
  17. I make 500 credits per slicing mission and a lot more for every crit that also give me a recipe or a mission.
  18. do we need one more of these threads... 100's exist, so please read the comments already existing.
  19. nothing new here... it was like this from day 1. You cannot leave first planet until you get the class quest that allows you to move on from start planet.
  20. didn't know mid 40s pvp gear existed... I have only seen lvl 40 and lvl 50 in your level range.
  21. Not sure about any lack of healers or tanks… It is something I never seen any in one of the guilds I taken part of. It is rather too many who want to heal or tank, especially at raid level. However, most of them stay away from PUGs due to the people you often meet in them. You know, the dps who always pull or the even more retarded dps who moans about everything but don’t do his part. I do plenty of healers in swtor (none at 50 yet) and my ignore list keeps growing.
  22. Wrong forum, and why would you need dual spec? It is as a healer very easy to find someone in Ilum to do the quests with... might only be another healer or one of those "stealthy leave me alone guys" who would say no to group with a healer.
  23. Not true at all, because all crew skills can certainly not craft items, all can certainly not gather on resource nodes… so you are taking the cumulative effect of having 3+ crew skills (the minimum you will have is 3, more with alts) to make a statement on how slicing should work. It is now as it should be, i.e. a gathering skills, besides you can still make cash if you select the right missions. It is pitifully easy as it is now to get slicing up to 400 and make cash the same time, just don’t do high-risk missions that is more likely to result in blue/purple one-time missions (even though they are extremely valuable by themselves).
  24. Slicing is a gathering skill and it works perfect. You get loads of credit if you are out in the world using it! The fact that you can send companions on missions that still give a small overall profit mean that you get blue and purple one-time missions for free that you can use or sell for a good profit, so anyone complaining about slicing is very greedy and want a game suitable for credit sellers/hoarders. The only thing that is a real cost is augment missions but you don’t have to do them! However it is certainly something you can make cash on.
  25. You will need to list item level in front of all schematic names to make it an useful list. It would also be handy if you list all stats improvements, compared with the base item, in a parenthesis behind each schematic names… You could also make each item a link to a well-known database, e.g. torhead.
