  1. Server - Ebon Hawk Character - Malisande, Sith Inquisitor, Assassin "Defiance" quest bugged as all the others listed in this thread. Cannot progress Ashara's story line.
  2. Playing on a 65 Vanguard. I was in ChVII just starting the quest to replace fuses on Gravestone. Made it to the "Use Access Terminal" on Zakuul. Did a reset and started Chapter from the beginning. Still blocked at the Access Terminal.
  3. It isn't post-Makeb content, but the Belsavis Bonus Series level 50 dailies give a lot of companion affection. Here's a guide.
  4. All self-righteous posturing about "buyer beware" aside, can someone make a convincing case for why we need two decimal place precision on unit prices.
  5. What about "unique" companion abilities? Will Theran Cedrax still summon Holiday to CC enemies?
  6. I have ZERO alts. My main is whatever character I happen to be playing. 22 of those are level 60. Two of those level 60's reached there under 12x. Four characters are still languishing between 55 and 59. One of those is what I might have once considered my "main." At this point it takes a strong act of will to drag myself through Rishi, Yavin, and Ziost yet again. I have two characters between 40 and 54. Seven from 20-39. Twelve from 2-19. Seven level one name placeholders. I used to keep all my healers respectably geared for endgame, but since the numbers of my friends/guildmates still playing has dropped below the threshold for Ops or even HM's, I no longer bother. Thus, leveling new characters is my primary game activity. I still enjoy it. I've seen all the class stories --- light and dark, male and female, human and variously tentacled recolored human --- but I still find new experiences each pass through the game. Running with a different companion can significantly alter and freshen up your base gameplay. It also reveals new interjections and conversation reactions. Prior to 12X I was generally staying ahead of the XP curve running only the class quests and world arcs with an occasional flashpoint. I believe that this is a superior way to approach the leveling experience as it lends context and meaning to whatever approach you are taking with your class story. What does it matter if your Consular is betraying the principles of the Jedi Order if you aren't bothering to undermine the efforts of the Republic while you're at it?
  7. The Community Team is conducting internal surveys to study the plausibility of undertaking an initiative to possibly consider an enhanced commitment to proactively pursue a dynamic uptick in the tempo of their deliberations on furtherance of their resolve to facilitate heightened opportunities for engagement with the community.
  8. It appears there are two legitimate reasons why this shouldn't be done: 1) Twinks 2) Limited development resources It seems you could solve the twink problem by only allowing people with XP gain toggled off to queue for PVP against each other, i.e. have a "Twink Bracket" on each level. The problem there, of course, is that it further exacerbates queue time issues. Maybe it would work after "something better than cross server" is implemented. There is no solution for the limited resources problem.
  9. We need a Failed Voss Mystic companion with a lightning/corruption DPS stance and a glowing golden Healing stance.
  10. I recommend the Logitech G600. I had a Naga that developed double-click errors after about 9 months. I decided to try out the G600 while the Naga was being RMA'd. Two and a half years later I'm still using the Logitech. I much prefer the design of the thumb buttons on the G600---each button has a unique shape with regards to its neighbors which helps to prevent mis-clicks. Also, I use a claw grip and i find the slightly wider G600 to be more comfortable, although it took some time to adjust to the presence of the third (ring finger) pad.
  11. I may be mistaken, but the business practices you advocate --- price collusion and market division --- are generally prosecutable when they take place in the real world.
  12. I would prefer to see any future XP events encourage players to learn the roles expected of their new characters in group content. How about 2X XP for class story content, 10X XP for group finder normal mode flashpoints?
  13. #2192 Can't recall if I watched before or after registering on this site, but I was here within the first few minutes when they went live. Closed Beta and day one Early Access: Yes Continuous Sub: No
  14. 1. Togruta 2. Tchuukthai 3. Toydarian Togruta are an ESSENTIAL addition to the game. Tchuukthai and Toydarians are cool non-humanoids that would be entirely impractical.
  15. I agree with the OP's feelings on the "glass ceiling". The thing that boggles my mind is that Bioware created an alternative progression system for this game that isn't dependent on character level or the gear treadmill and they've left it to wither on the vine: the Legacy system. I'm an altoholic... I hit the Legacy cap long before the F2P transition. Can someone explain to me why there is a Legacy cap? You don't earn anything meaningful with Legacy XP. Why do they stop counting it? Currently I spend more time playing Diablo III than this game. There, my level capped characters are earing Paragon points. They slowly but inexorably earn tiny stat bonuses that don't impact the "power" of my character to anywhere near the same degree as gear upgrades. They do, however, preserve the tiny thrill of "ding-ing" and the feel that my character is progressing. They could do the same thing with Legacy XP in this game. Over months (or years!) of game play, Legacy XP could slowly award tiny incremental power boosts that cumulatively might approach the equivalent of set bonuses. A fresh new level-capped character who chooses to pursue Operations would quickly outstrip the power these Legacy bonuses would provide. A hard core raider would have his gear and his set bonuses AND these Legacy bonuses. And a level capped "hard-casual" who chooses not to raid would still have a means of progression.
  16. Since anyone who actually cares what kind of mission they want to run eventually figures out the "loading screen trick" why is the random mission function still in the game? To annoy the customers? I don't feel a sense of accomplishment when the mission I want finally pops, I just feel angry at the game for making me waste time jumping through unnecessary hoops. If they are trying to limit the access to elite crafting materials, aren't mission costs and return rates sufficient levers to control the flow? Thanks for your time, I needed to vent.
  17. Why I want playable Togruta: 1) Togruta look spectacular. Lekku AND Horns (Montrals). Colors. Patterns. Beautiful. While this assertion is undeniably subjective, if you disagree then your opinion is hopelessly WRONG. 2) The Legacy of Shaak Ti. There's plenty of media out there with awesome Jedi moments. For me, this extended sequence tops them all: If you mention "Jedi" to most people they might picture Luke Skywalker or Obi-Wan Kenobi. I think of Shaak Ti. There have been other prominent Togruta in Star Wars lore, like Raana Tey in the Dark Horse "Knights of the Old Republic" comics and Ahsoka Tano in the Clone Wars series. My wish to play as a Togruta, however, derives from my image of "what it means to be a Jedi" as embodied by Shaak Ti in the sequence above. 3) Bioware's announcement of "Star Wars: The Old Republic" You can't find it any more on this site but some digging on YouTube turned up the video that was released to accompany the announcement of this game in October 2008: The very first look we ever had at this game included prominent combat footage of a lightsaber wielding Togruta. I was thrilled. There was going to be a new MMO (my genre of choice) from my favorite developer (Bioware) set in a beloved IP (Star Wars). And I was going to get to play as a Togruta Jedi! (see #2, above) I guess I got a little ahead of myself there. Postscript: I now have eleven Lvl55 Alts, most of them with fair to middling gear. Still waiting to roll my main.
  18. I hope this new model means we'll see the armor Atris wears in KotOR 2 soon.
  19. Quinn: "Ack... gluh.... *gurgle*" My Marauder: "Apology accepted, Lieutenant Quinn."
  20. IF EA/Bioware had asked Henry Ford's customers what they wanted, the customers would have said 'a faster horse.' Then EA/Bioware would have vowed to fix that thrown horse shoe 'soon' and offered to sell their customers a reskinned saddle blanket.
  21. The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference. The paying customers who come here to complain are still engaged and care enough to voice their opinions, hoping for a better game. The venom spewed towards "haters" by self-appointed white knights is more repugnant: the digital equivalent of jackbooted thugs wading into a crowd of dissenters, swinging their truncheons.
  22. I may be mistaken, but it looks like you just said something that amounts to this: "If I can just buy Treek, what is the point of the Legacy System. Other than possibly practice? Rewards keep people playing longer in PVE, you can't give the rewards away or the carrot disappears. You have players that sub for a month and buy the items they want on the CM. They don't stick around to keep paying a sub or buy more stuff."
  23. Right. That begs the question. If someone wants to do top-tier content why shouldn't they be allowed to buy top-tier gear. Why is access to that game content denied to those who don't walk the same path or distance? Note: I'm not in favor of selling top-tier gear. I want to understand why the desire for exclusive tangible rewards for the Legacy system is such a horrible affront to "modern" MMO design principles.
