  1. Promoting community not collusion, I'm not sure if anyone looked, but its not real life, and to get together with a few other players over some things would be, oh lets say "forming a corporation" which is a perfectly legal way to undermine any silly laws. And so happy I can "Gall" some people with an innocuous post in the wee hours when nothing was either pushed or insisted upon or specifically targeting or "told". LOL, some people man. GTF over yourselves. Food for thought post. Thats all. Felt like feeding the trolls for once. IT WORKED! Check my post count. I'm a pro!
  2. Official release isn't out til next week, yet new augments, mods, etc...have started sprouting all over the GTM. Brand new content that people race for, then proceed to lowball the hell outta each other to scrape for credits. I just don't get cutting your throat on some of these things as the mats are hard to come by and in some cases expensive to harvest rares. I'm sure if you did a cost breakdown on what a MK-10 augment kit cost in real credits, you'd cry at the loss. There's not much profit in posting those for 150k (which I've already seen) if you consider the mats used, the items reverse engineered, the crew skill expense, or the time spent. (Anyone peep the cost of skill training to succeed in the new areas?) It's just flawed logic to market your wares this way. Brand new Nvidia cards are top dollar because they're brand new. This content should cost more for the same reason...Not immediately drop in price because "Bills Backyard CPU supply" has it cheaper then "newegg", Find a fair market value and everyone wins. I'm here to petition crafters to post at the current market value, find the tipping point and quit cutting each other's throats. If "Blueballsfromspace" (blatant fictitious player name) posts his earpiece at 125k, match it, don't immediately drop it to 100k. If it doesnt sell, then you'll get a clearer picture of the items worth, and you can both drop it. Even CRAZIER crafters, communicate with each other. Send a message to the guy above you. Together market values will emerge, community will grow stronger, and the game...regardless of content, glitches or population will become more fun, You'll know Blueballs has a batch of might mods coming out and you're gonna make the skill mods, and you'll all make out. Hell, It's quicker to run black hole dailies to make 150k. I'd like to be a market participant, help the community and the game thrive, but hey...I guess I'll just wait til someone posts things at a ridiculous price simply because they're trying to get below the last listed lowball price, or craft what I need and keep it for myself.../sigh #swgeconomy. and this belongs in another thread comment in 3...2...1...
  3. got kicked, can't get back on. so...yes?
  4. With that patch looming, what's everyone doing with comms? Sitting and waiting or buying? Im maxed out on three toons and itching to replace gear...but tick tick tick... Haven't heard anything definitive on PVP comm changes either way. Rumor and speculation. If someone has a link to a post I've missed, please send me that way.
  5. I was forced into a guild name change. There was a message that annoyingly prompted me to change names after server mergers, (everytime i logged in!) so thinking I could have that option anytime, and to stop the annoying prompt, I just put a placeholder name in place. Waiting patiently for the devs who caused this to hear my plea...add a guild name change system. That is all.
  6. I can't for the life of me figure out why people forget so fast...some of these people were probably the same ones spewing vitriol on the SWG forums four years ago about how that game was falling to pieces...and you still (at the end) had that stupid useless jump animation. SWG started out figuratively with a knife and a loin cloth running around stabbing durnis. I was mayor of one of the original ten cities on Corellia/Chilastra, so I remember...(if you were looking for my references), because EVERYONE played from launch apparently. (liars) Up until SOE got crazy with the CE, and NGE; Prior to space combat, prior to speeders, prior to mounts...jeez...even player cities came in a patch, EVERYTHING CAME IN A PATCH(remember?) so prior to that...lets compare games now? This game has been out for such a short time...everyone here would've been bored with SWG's content within the first month because there was none; short of the mission terminals and holo-grinding (i ran thru 16 professions by the time player cities came out, if that qualifies as content). I had an active account from beginning til end. The game had the greatest potential of any MMO ever, but fell on its head. Isn't that really what this talk is all about? Potential...give SWTOR a chance. It's only going to grow into what SWG failed to...Crafting will expand, content will expand, and hopefully a quality community will blossom... SWG failed. Not because of the fantastic community, or the crafting system...It failed because the subscription money lost to WoW pushed the dev's into making "the sandbox" a "kitty-litter box" of bad code, player crushing changes, and community disenfranchisement. SWG was groundbreaking and had potential...and this game accomplishes both as well. Give it a year...then we'll see. Also I'm still playing with the same excellent guildies/clanmates going on 12 years or so. Content? Who cares when you have good friends to kill imps with. MMO's ultimately come down to community, and if you're unhappy with any game ever...just check and see who you are playing with.
  7. I'm not going to get into any spoilers for those of you not youtubing and following guides and who honestly want to do your own exploring, so I'll leave specifics out; except to say I've had two problems now with the large male body style getting into places my party has otherwise no problem with in order to retrieve datacrons. I'm just curious for some feedback on this, and to see what the community at large has to say, and if the problem is persistant. I think it may be as another group was trying to get a beefcake through the square peg-round hole opening and failing right along side of us. We tried dueling, pulling thru...(and some unspeakable things involving that greased hut Baron Deathmark talks about) to no avail...comments? Devs? Anyone know of this? Or have I missed notes elsewhere. If this is old news, someone point me at the right thread.
  8. thats the worst part...you RE until your head's about to explode for items that are not financially or functionally viable. Hard modes, and dailies are where its at. Add More schematic drops of higher levels AT LEAST! Something to put the crafters on par with the looters. Crafting is hardly worth it at this stage. I'd gladly wait 100 RE's if the sought after item was even worth anything.
