  1. I'm also underwhelmed by a couple of things. The reward track seems like a retention measure for new Steam users, but the rewards themselves are weak even for new users. The new mandalorian bundle is probably the most uninsipired deco bundle I've seen so far. New lightsaber hilt isn't exactly reinventing the wheel either.
  2. Activating (consuming) a deco for my stronghold that I didn''t need anymore instead of selling it for 20 mill credits as I intended.
  3. I also think this might be the case. The C:\Users\<myuser>\AppData\Local\SWTOR\swtor\settings folder contains GUIState.ini files for all my toons, while the subfolder GUIProfiles only contains xml files for the UI settings I manually saved in the interface editor.
  4. %localappdata% i a shortcut, you can enter it into the windows search. press enter and it opens the explorer at C:/Users/<myuser>/AppData/Local/. Similarily you can type %appdata% and explorer opens at C:/Users/<myuser>/AppData/Roaming.
  5. I'll definitely buy it. It would be great if we could have some Jawa and Ughnaught personnel. I know we have the scrap peddlers, but the name tags are a little annoying. I would also like to see more "civil life" appliances. Showers, toilets, more kitchen stuff (we only have the stove), more tables with stuff on them, etc.
  6. My problem with the Manaan starship hook was that once you change the layout to "Centerpiece Cross A", you can place one centerpiece deco immediately, but if you try to select one of the other centerpiece hooks, it seems to select one of the smaller inner hooks instead, making it impossible to place more than one centerpiece. The hooks at the front are visibly bigger than the building they are placed on, but you can't click them from below. So I tried to elevate my character somehow and found that the "Memorial of the three" (possible some other large hook decorations as well), placed on the nearby large hook, manages to provide that elevation. It still takes a little clicking around to catch the centerpiece hooks, but at least I managed to put 3 rockets up there. https://i.postimg.cc/6QH39vFd/Screenshot-2020-08-23-09-23-46-634316.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/3xFNc6Bf/Screenshot-2020-08-23-09-21-25-350178.jpg
  7. Allow a deco placed in one stronghold to still be used in the other strongholds.
  8. Initially I was a bit overwhelmed by the number of hooks in the outside area, but I found that (unlike Rishi and Manaan) apart from a few minor (mostly hook related) issues, the Alderaan stronghold works quite well. Here's my first attempt at decorating it: https://tord.mmo-fashion.com/caribus-alderaan-stronghold-1-2-star-forge/ https://tord.mmo-fashion.com/caribus-alderaan-stronghold-2-2-star-forge/ Hope you like it. Cheers.
  9. Maybe you missed to lock in the romance in chapter 9, where you talk to them in the cantina and seem to address Theron and get the options "I need to talk to one of you" and "I need to talk to one of you (flirt)" (or something like that). It is very confusing, since it feels like that answer is flirting with Theron when in fact it only means you want to flirt with one of them.
  10. Let's be realistic. This game still exist, because they make some decent money with the cartel market with probably a tiny team and a few small content updates from time to time. It's only a guess, but I think they took most of the experienced devs over to Anthem, leaving this game with a core of less experienced or new, cheap coders, that have to churn out small, monetizable content while trying to work with legacy code in a not so great state. When you have so few resources and you have to spend them on new cartel market updates and some minor story content, you just can't do much more. You can fix the occasional bug, especially some new bugs that you introduced because your team is not familiar with all the code, and do some minor improvements. You can also create a new stronghold from time to time, so that players keep spending on decorations. I don't expect the graphics to improve, I don't expect new content on a much larger scale than we got in the past year and I don't expect them to fix a lot of the bugs. Simply, because I guess (again, this is all guess work of course) that they just don't have the resources to do more.
  11. I'd say it depends. If you only need a finite amount of cartel certificates, you can get them much quicker at the Nightlife event. If you like it as a deco because it looks a little nicer than the other slot machine deco and if you want to have a chance to get cartel certificates outside the event, it might be worth it. To be honest, I haven't used mine for a year or so, because it was just too tedious. I don't know if they changed the drop rate in the meantime, but back then it was very very low (iirc it was something like 0.02% or so).
  12. Edit: Nevermind, I just looked at them from the wrong perspective. Sorry for the unnecessary post.
  13. I encountered something similar but only on some hooks. For example: In the main hall, the last floor covering hook on the right before the hallway to the throne room: Senator's Rug "floats" only on the right side a little (drops shadow). First floor covering hook in the hallway leading to the throne room: Senator's Rug "floats" very visibly above the ground. They may have just been sloppy when designing the stronghold - some hooks are also not placed very accurately.
  14. This is an old list someone made at some point that doesn't contain the recent planets, but it helped me back then to develop my own rotation of quick heroics to grind: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11lssXBFgHpHMhpmP7teDZF5TU9rw_VYTQpF1BAYMl-k/edit#gid=0 Maybe just check them out once and then make your own list with the ones you feel are quick enough.
  15. Gault has so many awesome lines, but my favorite is probably "Sit tight, Dretch, and get reacquainted with the concept of hygiene."
  16. TOR Fashion has a list of animated armor: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/category/database/appearance-database/appearance-style/animated/ Please note: not all animations are combat-only most are just light effects some sets are no longer available (e.g. PVP rewards; you can see this by the tag "no longer available" on the sets detail page One set that is not listed there is the Keeper of Iokath: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/keeper-of-iokath/ In combat stance the shield generator on the back creates a shield: https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/12375c71e1feade60ab265a9edd9314f3200469106fd234c589fbb36d148ba55.jpg
  17. If this has been posted somewhere already, please just ignore this post. Just found a link to a transcript from EAs quarterly Earnings Call in an article about Anthem, and found this interesting piece of information: "Believe it or not, we are close to a $1 billion on Star Wars: The Old Republic revenue from the start of its history." Link to transcript: https://www.fool.com/earnings/call-transcripts/2019/10/29/electronic-arts-ea-q2-2020-earnings-call-transcrip.aspx
  18. Some drop at flashpoints/operations and I think the only decos that drop from normal mobs in the game world are the dark and light datacrons. I suggest taking a look at the decos by source on TOR decorating. A lot of stuff has been added lately that can be obtained easily via reputation vendors: https://tord.mmo-fashion.com/decorations-by-source/
  19. OMG, finally some new holo-stuff. I was waiting for this for soo long. Too bad the new stage suffers from the same restrictions as the old one.
  20. I'm currently torn between making it a full-fledged resort (soo many beautiful trees available now to make it nice-looking) or going back to my Hutt-themed stronghold (links in my signature). Generally, as others already mentioned, I would put the functional area near your starting point. You can make themed rooms to make it look "logical", e.g. a shower room, a dormitory, a bar, a cantina, etc. Adding personnel makes your stronghold much more lively. If you lack personnel decos, place your companions. I suggest as inspiration you take a look at the Tatooine strongholds on TOR Decorating ( https://tord.mmo-fashion.com/customized-tatooine-homestead/ ) and check out the stronghold forums ( http://www.swtor.com/community/forumdisplay.php?f=422 ).
  21. It's simple: if the lifetime value of a player is lower than the acquisition costs, it makes no sense to spend a lot of money on advertising. I guess this is currently the case.
  22. Here is an older thread from the strongholds forum which has a few combination ideas: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=919630 Maybe you'll find some inspiration there.
  23. In the end it's very much a matter of personal taste. I would also suggest checking it out in collections. Or on TOR Fashion: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/category/database/item-types/weapons/lightsaber/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/category/database/item-types/weapons/double-bladed-lightsaber/ Still, here are some of my favorites: Descendant's Heirloom: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/descendants-heirloom-saber/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/descendants-heirloom-dualsaber/ Senya Tirall: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/senya-tiralls-lightsaber/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/senyas-lightsaber-pike/ Tythian: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/tythian-lightsaber/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/tythian-lightsaber-pike/ Light/dark vendor on fleet: https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/righteous-mystics-lightsaber/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/dread-mystics-lightsaber/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/righteous-mystics-saberstaff/ https://torf.mmo-fashion.com/dread-mystics-saberstaff/
  24. I do it pretty much the same way but only play one kingpin machine at a time. For me the event is a great opportunity to gain new decos and cartel certificates. Yesterday my yield for 120 smuggler chips was 5 golden and 5 cartel certs.
