  1. Going into a game expecting massive world pvp at low level is just silly. Warhammer tried that.....I wonder how that turned out?
  2. Oh hush, like it was your personal 300 mil that bankrolled the game, LMAO! I'm going to come right out and call you a liar if you're going to sit there and type that you've only seen NINE players since launch. Period.
  3. Two years of anticipation and you can't even give the game two months? I'm going to go ahead and just assume you didn't read up on what this game REALLY was or just have no experience with past MMO's and their conditions at launch.
  4. As a healer, I've seen this over and over in Flashpoints. I just try to remember that this is many players first MMO and they don't know the mechanics yet. I know I didn't in my first MMO. Learning takes time. it also takes time for an entire game's community to be on the same page regarding that. Not everyone is an MMO vet.
  5. Yea, to hell with the hundreds of employees with families and the need for that, sleep and just a few hours respite from your 1st world problem. "Oh my online game is down for a few hours each Tuesday." Get over it, dude. Here's my easy guide: 1. At least you know when it is. 2. Plan around it: Read, Watch TV, Sleep in late, Work, Spend time w/ a loved one. Just like there's a RL outside of WoW, there's a real life outside of TOR. Go find it.
  6. "dps don't slow down" I think I found your problem. If your "uber-deeps" don't understand the concept of throttling their DPS when needed, you're going to have problems. No threat meters mean doing it the old fashioned way.
  7. I'm not a fanboy and I'm not "proud". I'm just patient. Game has been live for a week. Calm. Down.
  8. I have to agree with the OP, this is an issue. Should be fixed, asap.
  9. Well, thank all the "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Queues are bad...make more servers!!!" whiners.
  10. Yea, I plan to get a SSD when Win 8 hits. But regardless, this games engine needs some optimization.
  11. Like I said, at end game. Sorry, I'm not a red-bull guzzling, hot pocket chomping, acne faced guy blasting through levels while playing 16h/day. I'm not at endgame and neither is ANYONE with anything resembling a life. Which is why dual spec ISN'T NEEDED this very minute. You NEED to switch specs on the fly at level 30? I'm sorry, but you can't do EVERY ROLE all the time just yet. Since the game is new...you could...I don't know....MEET some people that have the roles you lack? I'm a healer for example. I've met a few awesome tanks and some great DPS. I don't pout because I can't tank or dps on the fly. I solve the problem by grouping instead of complaining.
  12. You don't like "waiting". It's called "time-investment" and it's to be expected in an MMO. Taking a speeder takes what? 45 seconds max? Give me a break. Travel in this game is easy and it helps give the game a sense of scope, depth and size. I'm for a server wide LFG system. What I'm opposed to is cross-server LFG. It just sucks the soul out of a community when you run a group with players you know you'll never see again it just encouraged not talking, not getting to know and ninja rolling on everything. Nuts to that. I'm cool with dual specs as something for Level 50's. If you want it, earn it. And it should cost 50k. Once again..earn it.
  13. I wish people would stop with the THREATS of quitting. If you don't have the gumption to wait a few patches for improvements then you're a chump for buying an MMO @ launch. I knew the game wouldn't be optimized at launch. I knew this and I purchased the game anyways. Im doing a 3month sub. I figure it'll take up to 6+ months for the game to really get solid content at all levels flowing with some good fixes, optimizations and new features. Just like WoW took around that much time. Just like EQ Just like City of Heroes Just like friggin every MMO. WoW's been out for 7 years. It took blizzard FIVE **** ***** years to implement LFG. Don't you guys remember meeting stones? LOL. Cross server LFG sucks. You group with a bunch of strangers. Say nothing, get gear and peace out. It sucks the life out of an online community. I'm all for in-sever LFG, but I completely oppose cross server LFG. Maybe in 6 years like with WoW. But servers need time to develop their own communities. Grouping with players from the same server helps that tremendously. Unless you're at level cap and heavily min/maxing...stop respeccing every 5 seconds! A spec is suppose to be a core, but not absolutely permanent choice for your character. I think people should either accept this game for what it is, push for positive changes or just go back to WoW. What blows my mind is the same people the cry for every feature that WoW has are the first to complain that this game is a WoW clone. Some restrictions are good. They give players a sense of their choices MEANING something. If you want to play a class, go level it up. This isn't call of duty, brah.
  14. I just want more visual indications of when my healing abilities proc. Haivng to watch the tiny icons in my buff bar to see what's stacking, what's proc'ing and how long I have on my cooldowns....that's all.
  15. No, I'm not going to cancel. I'm signing up in 3 month increments. Here's what I've experienced for far on my machine: Core i5 750 Lynnfield@2.71Ghz Radeon HD 6870 1GB 8GB Ram Win 7 x64 50 down/8 up broadband hitting the server @ 37ms right now. -Crash to desktop on loading screen x3 -Complete computer reboot x3 I believe these were my videocard overheating. Dusted my computer out, turned up the RPM's on the card's fan an haven't had a CTD/Freeze since. But there ARE plenty of other bugs. Gameplay related. Regardless, it's been what? 3 days? I can be patient. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither are solid, long term MMO's.
  16. Yes and Yes. Played Galaxies from Launch till NGE. Played WoW from launch until TOR. Both great games, both completely different from each other. TOR is a good foundation, and I am enjoying the flashpoints, PVP Warzones, and missions VERY much. There's definitely work to be done. If I were in charge of development I'd work on: -Optional Chat Bubbles for player text -Engine performance optimizations -Bug Fixes/Balance tweaks -Day/Night cycle per planet -Weather -Free Roam Lv 50 Planets for endgame content. -Completely revamp the Space Experience -More "RP" items: Clothes, Hats, Holobooks,
  17. Cross server LFG kill communities. The game needs more side content.
  18. Because PC hardware and MMO development aren't the same thing.
  19. My game gets choppy on Corusant...when running to senate tower. Or at the fleet station. I go from 60fps normally to the teens. I'm running: Core i5 750 Lynnfield @2.71 ghz Radeon HD 6870 1gb 8gb memory Would a solid state drive help? Or is my video card mid-range and not up to it?
  20. Problem with world pvp is it has a habbit of DESTROYING server stability when done on a massive scale. I'd love to see some 100 vs 100 fighting going on in the streets of a city...urban combat style...but I'm sure a GM would start banning players for disrupting their servers.
  21. I have 80 hours logged and I'm level 25. Did you do ANY other content? Did you do side quests? Did you craft? Did you gather? PvP? Explore for datacrons? Run Flashpoints? Kill world bosses with your guild? I've done ALL those things so far. Which is probably why I'm still only Lv25. Lemme guess, you stuck to nothing but the main story and now want to QQ? Give me a break.
  22. Doesn't matter if you've been playing since Alpha. The *fact* is this game has not been on the shelves for a single week yet. Barely a day. Betas are for cleaning up the game as it is and to test features as they're added. Beta doesn't mean they're going to add every feature Shadysketchy or CyberData would like to see. There's TONS of things I'd want to see in this game. I'm not so myopic to expect or demand they be in at launch.
  23. Agreed, completely. WoW was the absolutely perfect MMO storm. Titan will be very interesting to see. But at the end of the day, I don't play a game called "sales figures". I play the game I find fun. Right now, that's TOR. Despite its issues...and yes, it does have them. The main thing I'd like to see is more developer communication. Why aren't they or a CM posting in the forums. Discussing things. Giving us their design views?
