  1. OMG same.... I stopped playing the game a week or so ago but visit these forums religiously just for a good LOL. Keep it coming.
  2. Every other server is either standard or heavy but we at swiftsure have a 50 min que...... Can we please get the ball rolling on oceanic servers please!! All you have to do is, wait, ready for it........ Next to swiftsure and some other servers put a dash (-) then oceanic. THEN!!! offer free transfers off the server for X amount of days for anyone who wants to leave to a server of their choice. Not hard, WoW can do it, you can do it.
  3. Just wanted to throw this out there. I have un-subbed and won't be coming back as I was, like many, looking for a new WoW. Don't read on if your gonna complain & QQ. The reason SWTOR won't be a top MMO is they aimed too low. They did not aim to be the number one game in their field. The reason being is from this article: http://massively.joystiq.com/2011/04/25/analyst-says-one-million-subscribers-are-attainable-for-swtor/ "suspect a willingness from investors to believe [500,000] to 1 million Star Wars MMO subscribers is an attainable target." & "Hickey states that one million subscribers will mean $161.9 million in gross sales and up to $35 million in total profit for EA if his prediction is true." SWTOR was never designed to topple WoW from the top spot. EA is aiming to make some money and thats all. I say SWTOR has 2 million copies sold to date. thats = $120,000,000 ($60x2,000,000) (not including costs to create the box & cd's, or server costs for online sales) With 1 million subscribers EA is making 35 mill a year profit. EA would need 5 years to make the game profitable. 300 mill = suspected cost of creating the game 300 mill - 120 mill = 180 mill 180 mill / 35mill (profit) = 5.1 years Now you need to account for inflation & that mmo subscriptions dont increase with inflation I dont see EA making any money in this game. With holding costs and maintaining servers and increased expenses it is going to take a lot more for EA to make a profit. This is my back of an envelope calculations, please feel free to correct me on the facts and figures not on fanboi hopes and dreams.
  4. Lol even runescape had chat bubbles. Honestly Runescape was 10 x more fun than this game back before the wild was taken away. Their economy was booming, log into the top 2 servers pre 2008 and it held 2000 people and the place was packed, unlike swtor, it felt like a true mmo. The crafting system was amazing and the concept of dying and loseing gear was pretty cool making the wild that much more exciting. You could switch servers in Runescape if one was too packed, or not busy enough. There was 0 lag There was a bigger social side, I remember teaming up with 10+ people to go into wild and defeat all that came upon us. If SWTOR can't even get what runescape got right then this game has no hope. Capish!
  5. The best in that.... it let me realise how good WoW and Blizzards customer support is. Thankyou. Ill be returning to WoW now to pay for a 10 year subscription as ithis was meant to be the wow killer. If this is all you can make with hundreds of millions of dollars then the mmo genre has no hope. Can't wait for Project Titan
  6. This game launched well, but the problem is, its a crap game overall. WoW's launch was terrible but it was worth sticking around because it was a good game.
  7. +10000000000000 Doesnt matter guildwars 2 will provide where swtor has not
  8. plus there is no /trade well no1 uses it and I am on swiftsure how do they expect to create any kind of economy if trading is not encouraged.
  9. Im giving my personal feedback here. The RGT is the worst thing about this game. For starters a lot of things that you sell you are not sure what filters they are under. You are then not able to check comprable prices as the furstration leads you to just vendoring everything. Even if I new what filters to use its too fiddly to work with. Now I know swtor wants to be unique from WoW but by not implementing an easy to use Auction house shows that bioware and EA are like an immature political party. They won't use the opposing sides other policies (idea's) because they want to seem unique even though that policy is 10 times better than what EA and Bioware have come up with. You will see a trend of new MMO's in the future breaking subscription numbers just like this game did because people are looking for something like wow but fresh. People will move from MMO to MMO until the new dominate WoW killer is introduced. This game could be it but with silly things like phasing, no world pvp, crappy auction house, terrible PvP i think we might just have another warhammer on our hands. The star wars name is the only thing thats holding this game up for the time being.
  10. I agree but i mean for later on in the game, if im lvl 50 and everything seems half fool it takes away from the "massive" in mmo. I want to know if after a couple of months and everything cools down will they remove the phasing? Can any1 help
  11. Do you think the phasing is something they are going to keep in just for launch or will it be removed later on in the games life????????????????????? I mean this is an MMO, it would be ridiculous if they kept the phasing so people are not fighting over mobs in the game for its entire life. Does anyone have any word?
  12. "If" true that totally kills the entire republic v Sith side of the game. This game will just turn into a crappy form of WoW. All you have at end game is raiding and bg's sorry flashpoints & Hutball...... At least in WoW world pvp was an option, it wasn't encouraged (lack of loot) but it was still there.
