I thought his character, blind guy, was absurd. His little force chant as he marched around in blaster fire was ridiculous......I did think the placing of a bag over his head and his comment could be humorous if not for the general distaste the movie had already put into my mouth. He like EVERY other character in the movie were underdeveloped to the point they were a liability to the movie. Forrest Whittakers character is a prime example of underdeveloped and poorly utilized. Much like the debate about The Phantom Menace I could have skipped the first 1 and 30 minutes of the movie and the story of SW would be just fine.......I would dare say the first 1 45 minutes were not needed and did nothing to advance the story beyond another way to make more money......I cannot slight them for that.........But hey what do i know.,. I would rank this movie slightly below SW Christmas special. Some will mock me for this but I did not enjoy the movie at all. At least with the Special they introduced Boba Fett.

My wife and I just returned from viewing this motion picture. She is not a great SW fan but loves sci fi and Trek. Her impressions of the movie were as such: "I did not get a chance to know the characters." also "there was no connection" she also feels the movie was forced...no pun intended. For me the best parts were Tarkin and his rolling of the letter R's. Much of the movie was unbelievable......especially CGI Leia at the end spouting off HOPE. I have read much soft cannon and non cannon sources that have eluded that Bail Organas ship was not in this battle aka Audio Drama of Star Wars and for me that has always been the way the story was even if it was not canon. So seeing the ending was not agreeable. Most of the characters were not believable to me.....and they did not invest time into getting to know them...so when they all die....I was like ":whatever". I loved the Tarkin character..absolutely superb..... The Empire was at the peak of its strength and yet they still loose on land and sea......space is always the rebels forte but the ground is where the empire kicks crack.......not in disneys world I reckon...... I sid enjoy the iconic characters from the CANTINA and Red Leader and Gold leader and a few other cameos but R2 and C3-PO were not necessary. Overall there was no character development and in the end they killed em all and there was no sadness or reflection......just a shrug of the shoulders........I give the movie a 3 out of 10.

The game is set to 800x600 resolution and I cannot increase the resolution of the game. I run the Gtx 1080......it seems fairly odd that the resolution button , when clicked, does not offer other resolutions. ALSO after exiting the game my desktop resolution is set to 800x600 every single time as well. Known issue ...?? is there a fix?

I was browsing some videos and came across some silliness. Several you tube chaps had created a few videos on the idea that Darth Snoke is Jar Jar and that Jar Jar was a powerful Sith, While I am not able to actually believe this idea I do see some compelling ideas that they present. JarJar being a force master who used the drunken technique of martial arts Jar Jar makes force leaps as seen in TPM Jar Jar used force persuasion They also do some guessing from behind the scenes as to why Lucas curtailed this idea but did not cover up his footseteps so well ......because of the backlash of Jar Jar haters he decided to go another direction. I have to say that they did catch some intriguing ideas and present them well enough.........As early as TPM I had a Darth Binks drawing as my screen saver....if I only I had known then what they tell us now.... It might all be conjecture that is ultimately incorrect and untrue but man they sure do make it compelling. Well at least for a nerd like me. Vader = Father Snoke= Pike (fish) Although I see it spelled as Snoek....but personally I prefer Snooki...they claimi Jar Jar is a fish like creature If I had my way. because TPM was my 3rd most fav Star Wars episode I would make Darth Snoke a force twisted Darth Binks......just to peeve off all the fans......

I took some time off from the game......a year or so. All my toons are level 55 when I retired from game play......Where does one pick up and continue from..... ILUm was where I went for dailies and such...... HM group content appears to be the same as it was before I left. if anyone could steer me in the right direction I would be appreciative.

Jesus H Christ. What is with the desire to see a romance? No jedi, on film, has yet been able to have a romance and any good come from it........ If Luke were wise he would require all jedi to be eunuchs or the equivalent. /sarcasm Lets all be fair.......since this movie is ripe with 3rd wave feminism Rey needs a female luva........ Gotta be hip and current when making a movie like this...........Maybe the new lightsabers will be rainbow colored too just for solidarity....... A Jedi to be one with the force would be required to purge himself of micro agressions and white priviledge...then he could assume his role as assistant to the powerful broad wielding the energy stick. /sarcasm

as I said before SW is dead...left in its place is a new version.....2nd and 3rd wave feminists love this movie because it is Hunger Games in Space...... Saw some videos of some mother foaming at the mouth because her daughter now has a female hero to worship in the movies...I guess Leia Organa was not a hero. I still cannot entirely place my finger on why I hate the movie with such a fierce passion. As I read blogs and experience other peoples views I am starting to see my opinions are not alone and are not unwarranted. This is as close as I can put it into words. SW IV-VI was about a journey of a hero. Along the way the hero had friends and companions. His story never eclipsed the story of the others....it was just as important as the love story between a smuggler and a princess.....the friendship between a smuggler and a wookie..the banter between droids and the death of a Jedi Master(s). In the telling of this tale...the force awakens......The story of some desert scavenger eclipses all other tales or stories throughout the movie almost entirely. In ep 4-6 there is a story of Luke. He begins a child and is whiney, like daddy. He learns there is the force and it has power over the universe........being shown by Ben and then Yoda he is able to learn to master force albeit very slowly. He can barely lift rocks properly...cannot lift an X Wing out of the drink. in EP 6 he finally has developed as a Jedi and becomes much more serious as to his calling....and can use the force fairly well. In contrast we are force fed this idea that Rey is a great pilot..can already fly the Falcon and starts to MASTER THE FORCE, in just, what feels like, a few days w/o a mentor. It totally breaks the reality factor for me in the SW universe. Do I miss SW? nah....it never leaves my side....the books, videos and audio books........ This new Star Wars does nothing for me...at all in any fashion.

they put SW brand logo on just about anything... I saw, on Twitter, SW brand oranges.........frickan Valencia oranges in a bag with a SW tag on em.... Folks will buy just about anything. I can just imagine......SW tampons.....in designer colors...green blue and red...... SW disposable underwear.......so you can crap on your favorite jedi in discreet comfort.

For me the debate boils down to simplifying the usages of the word...... Dark Side and light side Each is a side of a whole........Why would they use SIDE as opposed to something like the Dark Force and Light Force or the Darkness and the Light make it even more simple.......the dark side of my car.......implies there is a light side of my car.......my car being the force and it has 2 sides to it...possibly more Even things said in movies/books leads me to the conclusion that the force is one supreme source of magic power in the SW universe.... is the dark side stronger? No more seductive blah blah.....Of course it is easier to live by no rules or guidelines other then self satisfaction which is what the Sith and dark side adherents seem to follow....use this gun however you want....as long as it makes you happy.......... the Jedi and those of good nature would use that gun to protect and serve and kill only when necessary..... So again the gun analogy works very well in describing the force...it is just a tool and it manifests itself in both users....otherwise we risk making the force into something it is not IMO......... I am totally off topic now but replying to earlier comments as to the nature of the force.... I love the counter earlier from some bloke who said Darth plagueis is wrong in his observations of the force..... the master of the force is wrong....hmmpf the audacity. he can manipulate the force/create life and force it to do his will yet he is wrong. /sarcasm

I just do not see this broad being Skywalkers offspring........Luke is whiny much like daddy. The force prolly needed someone who was gonna stay the course of their calling...not like whiny *** Luke ... I see a trend here.......Han Solo has difficulties so he leaves the love of his life and his kids behind to do what he wants for himself....... Luke fails on training a Jedi so he runs off to the island planet to eat Cheetos and get old and fat and avoid his responsibilities..... the only one who sticks through it is mama Organa......she stays and fights and resists.... Real life sure does seem to follow in this movie.....dead beat men and strong woman..... just saying..

Anyone who comes here trying to CONVINCE others of their opinion needs to be ignored and those who use the passive aggressive BS to slight others needs to step away from the PC entirely.. We all have opinions....Some will go analytical and spout of the "journey of a hero" and others will go emotional comparing it to a new hope in 77 when many of us went and saw it.... I, on the other hand, feel the movie is weak, unimaginative, and pays too much homage to a movie almost all of us have already seen to the point of absurdity. The cast is weak and mostly unbelievable. They did nothing to convince me of their roles. Darth wannabe and Darth Snooki and traitorous Trooper with his new girlfriend coupled with V.i.n.c.e.n.t. and old B.O.B. made me boo several times in the movie. As a science fiction movie it is average...as a SW movie it is weak at best...... My only question is the original movies are seen as through the eyes of the droids........since the Droids were absent most of the movie...who's eyes, if any were ,they using this time round.?

You risk much in angering the fanboys of the movie.....their wrath could lead to countless rebuttals cluttering up your email box if you are subscribed.... I felt about the same as you did in much of the movie. I had a wee spot of tearey eyes with the appearance of......wait for it....almost there......C3PO.....they finally repaired his leg..... Darth Wannabee was, by far the most ridiculous...coupled with Darth Snooki. Why make a movie that is already going to be successful when all you do is take the same plot and rehash it into a new story.....I thought the force was balanced...did not Anakin bring balance to the force......there is no more Sith and no more Jedi.......Marc Hamill is on vacation at his island retreat and the Sith are all but defeated......the Force is balanced........So why the hell would the force reawaken and cause unbalance? It feels to me like the force is confused..........the new name of this movie Star Wars A new hope of rebalancing itself...

I have stopped reading SW material. I have all the books from the beginning up to the Force awakens. What was canon is not canon now...what is soft canon is now hard canon..That is how it feels now...I don't do comics or cartoons very well. with the torch being tossed over to Disney I will, most likely, watch from afar but not be the fan I used to be,. much like Dungeons and Dragons and legend of the 5 Rings both sold out to other companies.

I agree. Anakin was created to bring balance to the force......balance mean equal sides and that can never be with the light side and the dark side...there is never a happy balance..... I always had a hard time with the jedi propaganda that balance to the force meant no Sith and the jedi could continue on with no changes. So the logical choice is no jedi no sith.

I have read all you have and more possibly. I have seen the former owner of the Star Wars and his opinions/commentary on his creations...I probably have several copies lying in my audio library somewhere. I am also awares of Mortis and all that jazz......again personifications of human or human like psychology. Someone who uses the force for evil will take on specific traits and personalities as does one who uses it for good,. Darth Plagueis said it best IMO "A Jedi sufficiently strong in the Force can be trained to produce a facsimile, but not true Sith lightning, which, unabated, has the power not only to incapacitate or kill, but to physically transform the victim. Force lightning requires strength of a sort only a Sith can command because we accept consequence and reject compassion. To do so requires a thirst for power that is not easily satisfied. The Force tries to resist the callings of ravenous spirits; therefore it must be broken and made a beast of burden. It must be made to answer one's will. But the Force cannot be treated deferentially. In order to summon and use lightning properly, you will someday have to be on the receiving end of its power, as a means of taking the energy inside yourself." I have read nearly all the books.......the do not tell you in plain words the force is evil and good. they elude and let you draw your conclusions. She is some girl with no knowledge of the force....there is NOTHING in the film that leads on to believe she is open to the force....rather the opposite...she runs away from it and denies it. She has no epiphany moment ,,,,,you are reading too much into it..........there is the moments when Darth wannabee realizes he is not totally evil and his dragon betrays him..the same Dragon that betrayed Anakin Skywalker.......leaves him weaker then before because he softens....Anakins moment is when he realizes his dragon has betrayed him and he cries into the force NOOOOOO........but there is absolutely NOTHING that would lead me to the conclusion she uses the force.... She may realize he is sweating and nervous and double her efforts to resist but the force is alien to her......as alien as it is to you and me. I have to agree the movie was terrible. the defense that Darth half arse was not a master or very poorly trained in the dark side is totally irrelevant.....he had far superior training to that little scav girl. She had no business, short of Yoda appearing as a ghost and teaching her, how to use one branch of the force CONTROL without any training...Sense yes...alter NO....Control NEVER........Sure there are examples of the force giving you intuition......this broad had no idea whatsoever and we are not privy to any force related incidents prior to the movie to lead us to the conclusion she has any knowledge of the force. that alone makes this crap totally unbelievable..... While Darth wannabe is injured and a little raw after gutting papa that should have relished his acceptance to the darkside much like when Anakin slaughtered some padawans...he should have had raw power and anger and fear running rampant much like what was shown in the movie by him beating his wound in defiance of pain and fear. yes he succumbs to a scav girl from some sandy wasteland.....

Star wars is done and gone the way of the dodo bird.... Lucas gave up or retired to let a new batch of story tellers bastardize the movie and AHEM re imagine it. JJ Binks and his ST and SW endeavors are the stuff of legends......every geeks dream to direct SW and ST....he frakked em both up IMO.
