  1. I get it. I'm a capitalist. You want to make money. You think....we can scale down the development team (I get it), we can release solo mode content instead of group content because our "metrics" tell us it will make us more money....I have some bad news.... You're wrong. The plebs...the n00bs....whatever you want to call them...look up to the real raiders and want to be like us (I'm just an arrogant *** hole, I know) We run guilds, we help n00bs be better, we turn n00bs into real raiders. You just defecated in our mouths and ran us off. Seriously though: No new ops announced, no date? The raid designer doesn't even work for SWTOR anymore? Nightmare doesn't even drop nightmare loot? You nerfed the best dps classes in the game? you know....the ones who clear nightmare? At the same time, you released a ridiculously expensive (2-3 million credit buff that disappears when you zone out....to give you +20% dps, heals, endurance.....) only if you are legendary status with gree? roflmao. Is this a bad movie or do you really think this will make you more money? I assume as capitalists, you think it will (I assume...that is your goal). I don't think you are dumber than my door stopper "brick",...I think you want to make more money but your decisions are mind boggling. News flash, you are going to lose money. You will realize the following: YOU destroyed a great game thinking YOU were going to make more Money. I pity your stupidity. Not because you are stupid but because you destroyed a great game that I enjoyed with my friends. Had you just simply focused on making a GREAT GAME instead of being greedy...the money would have flowed forth....You are unfortunately stupid. The end.
  2. I respectfully disagree. While there are all different types of players, I find that progression players are often the ones who run the most ops (sm included), teach players mechanics, rotations, encourage them to try harder raids, etc. Regardless of what percentage this player base might be (no one knows the exact number), it is a player base that is passionate about the game and wants the game to succeed. I think the community at large will suffer greatly if progression raiders are run off.
  3. I like your suggestion, anything would be better than the current path. The only reason I mentioned the 80% thing was it seems like egos "might" be at play here and it would help Bioware save face. In reality, nightmare ops should be 100% drop rate of 224 tokens & 224 random pieces. Seriously, how long would it take them to re-code the loot? A day at most? The reward? Every raiding guild would be happy. Is a day of re-coding the loot in old ops really not worth Bioware's time? It seems crazy to me. Their current explanation makes no sense to most rational people. The SWTOR community needs a more detailed explanation & a better answer than we'll fix it in February, otherwise, I think MANY raiders will quit. I am the guild leader of a 350+ member guild, it includes progression raiders & casual players. I would gather that roughly 80% of the guild is casual & will never go beyond SM. That having been said, we have several, solid Ops team that can clear pretty much everything. Members of my ops team regularly run SM to help out and teach less experienced players. By harming the progression community, you are in effect harming the health of the entire game. More guilds will implode, casual players will also quit. There's a 60+ page thread about this...Bioware needs to think on what they said and respond soon. It's in Bioware's best interests to address this issue sooner rather than later.
  4. Given the difficulty of nightmare and the latest dps nerfs to the top dps classes, needless to say nightmare is going to be harder than ever. While the nightmare buff from the Gree Event (that costs 50 helixes, 2 dark matter & conquest stuff to craft) as a consumable could help, I doubt many people are willing to craft these to complete nightmare ops that are only dropping HM loot. Mounts and titles (which most of us have) aren't enough of an incentive. Many players want 224b mods & some want mk-2 enhancements for tanking a.k.a. the junk pieces that drop. Healers & DPS possibly want the junk pieces as well. Currently, these are not in the game. Whenever February rolls around (hopefully, the developers come to their senses & fix things sooner), nightmare will not only have a chance to drop nightmare tokens but I STRONGLY HOPE also the nightmare junk pieces. If it just drops the nightmare tokens on a limited basis, the incentive will just not be there. To save face & make all parties happy, a couple options exist in my humble opinion: 1) Nightmare drops 228 loot, a new tier of gear 100% or 80% of the time (I only mention 80% so Bioware can save face). -or- 2) Nightmare drops 224 tokens & junk gear 100% or 80% of the time. -or-the worst choice: 3) If neither option is implemented and nightmare tokens only occasionally drop with no junk pieces ever dropping, nearly no one will do nightmare. If you go option 3), I STRONGLY recommend you release new ops with a new tier of gear early next year or the majority of your hardcore raiding community will unsubscribe & quit. You are marginalizing one of your most influential communities if you do not fix this problem soon.
  5. This is honestly the worst decision I've ever seen made in the history of ANY mmorpg. Nightmare operations should drop either 228 or 224 gear -guaranteed-. Otherwise, there is next to 0 reason to do them. IF a new Op doesn't drop at beginning of next year, raiding in this game will be dead. I already have a feeling I'm going to lose many guildies over this....
  6. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/76e4d2xw.aspx Have you signed your application to protect against M-i-t-M risks? Can I control when the application updates? If so, how? What security zone are you using? Internet Zone or Full trust (or has this changed)? To use internet zone, must I install from Internet Explorer? Thank you. (don't mean to be annoying just paranoid about security)
  7. Hello, I downloaded the latest beta version on the link you provided and it was 5.8kb. Is it possible to provide a full installer with md5 and sha checksums to verify the integrity of the download? And also a virustotal report (I can submit) referencing the same checksums? While I know many thousands use it, it would provide me with peace of mind prior to installing it. I am not a fan of downloaders that then download additional files. I like to get the entire file & verify checksums prior to running any installer. Thank you!
