  2. I agree with you Arion. I thought about it for a bit as well before posting and I came to the same conclusion that you came to. It wouldn't result in it being P2W, if anything it'd be P2 make money. But either way, this is just a suggestion and is completely open to logical debate. I would love to see something like either of my two suggestions in-game. So please let discuss this and come up with a practical idea that the devs can use.
  3. Here are two ideas I had a while ago. Originally my idea involved purchasing these for daily or other commendations. But with the cartel market, I'm sure if could also be sold from there. My first idea is to sell Crew Skill and Crafting Critical Chance Boosts. They can be similar to the experience boosts that are already in-game. Have it be a 5-10% critical chance increase on Crew Skills and Crafting. I personally would be buying as many of these as I can. I would also be purchasing a whole bunch more Crew Mission Discoveries as well as other players will focus on gathering missions and selling them on the GTN. My second idea is to sell an tool that will either temporarily or permanently un-bind and item. Or if that would offset the economy too much, then maybe it could make it a bind on legacy item. There are numerous items in-game that have absolutely no value to my end game main character, but would be very beneficial or only usable my a lower lvl alt. Or even by a lvl 50 alt that I just don't play enough to get comms to buy certain schematics or items. A great example, I could really use the exotech stims, but my Healer/Bio alt is only lvl 49 and I find it really hard to even do the dailies on my main. So doing it on my alt after my main is kinda out of the question. If I could purchase it on my main, buy an item that un-binds it or at least legacy binds it. Then I could send it to my alt, craft the better stims and improve my pvp and pve performance.
  4. Your math is horrible. By your details. There's 12 planets, with 3 different endings and 8 classes. That's 12*3= 36, 36*8= 288. Where you came up with any number about 1,000 is beyond me. When you actually do the proper math for it and get the correct answer. You realize that it's not too much to ask for different endings for each class. Also seeing as how all the other class missions are of this same way. It's natural to expect an expansion to carry on it on.
  5. I would just like to mention about how I liked the reply the BW employee left on here. The issue was acknowledged, they gave a short description on what exactly is going on (even if it means there was a mistake done by BW) and then they described a little bit on how they were going to correct the issue. If more BW posts could be like this, I'm quite positive they'd have far less ppl upset over minor issues like this. They don't have to give us exact details on everything they're doing. Just acknowledgement that it's an issue and a short, but sweet description on them handling it and how they're handling it. The way I look at it, the more info they give us on issues; means they actually took time to look up the issue and that they are working hard on fixing it. Thank you BW. As far as the poster's questions on whether or not they'll have to document every FP they run. I don't think you'll have to. They actually have a pretty good logging system built for this game. For example, I reported someone back during the Rakghoul world event thing and the CS sent me back everything I did and said during the 2 hrs that the incident went on. They said I didn't have a claim and so on. And 2 weeks ago, I got reported by someone. It was all wrong, so I emailed CS and asked them to re-investigate it. Well no more than an hour later I get an apology email from BW. So as far as documenting goes, it'll be more for your own piece of mind. But they should have it all down in their system on what you did, at what time and so on.
  6. Check out this thread also, http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=492248.
  7. I didn't see this thread when I started creating mine. So I'll link that thread here. It's an experience but more importantly, it shows a valid point about Group Finder that needs to be addressed. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=492248
  8. First off, let me say this thread is only for valid points, either good or bad about Group Finder. I have had both very good and possibly the worst experience ever in SWTOR with Group Finder. But the bad experience was so horrible that I feel a solution to it needs to be addressed. The first two times I used Group Finder was easy clears, obviously no complaints there. But my last experience with it has left me with an uneasy feeling and quite frankly. I can't find any reason to want to play SWTOR for the rest of the night. Let me start by explaining what happened. I joined up in a group for Directive 7 Hard Mode. I am in full Rakata gear. I notice that the other Sentinel in my group was in BattleMaster PvP gear. I then proceed to check everyone's gear so I can get an idea of how well this group will do. I then notice that the Sentinel only had a BattleMaster chest piece and the rest are all greens ranging from lvl 45-47 (why he didn't even have any other kind of PvP gear is a wonder to me). I look at our tank and he also has all greens. The healer was the exception, with only 3 pieces of Tioneese gear and the rest blues ranging from 47-49. We start off in the Flashpoint make it past the first boss. But I kept stealing threat from the tank almost every time I did an attack. I had take breaks in between each attack so that the tank could take threat back to him. After the boss fight, i notice that the tank had guard on the Healer. I asked him why he put guard on healer and not me. His reply was "Cater to the healer in every way possible". I understand the importance of keeping the Healer alive, but what's the point when I'm taking all the damage that the tank should be absorbing, defending and blocking. Basically the tank was not able to take all the damage because it was going out against me. The healer kept me alive, but the tank barely even took any damage. The other Sentinel wasn't doing a bad job, but his strength was 900 and expertise of 6%. As we progress through the FP we run into similar problems with the mobs. Anything I attacked, instantly was pulled to me and away from the tank. After the three wipe, except for me, on one group of 2 elites. I finally convince the tank to put guard on me. Well the tank pulls threat and pulls one of the mobs half way across the map and out of range of guard on me. And they all die again except for me. We get to the second boss and the boss blows through the tank. Which means that I now have threat, ONCE AGAIN. I am a well geared Sentinel with a lot of experience on how to stay alive, but I still have no chance of staying alive against a Hard Mode boss. We wipe 6 times. Now I'm a pretty calm person and will usually stay with a group, even if we run into a few problems. But we could never get the boss past 70% because everyone kept dieing almost immediately. Everyone starts yelling at each other teling each other that they suck and need to go get better gear, now remember these ppl are in greens and a few blues, telling me that I need to get better gear or figure out how to play my character properly, even though I am in full Rakata. At that point, I just closed my SWTOR game client through ctrl-alt-delete, because I just did not even want to see anything SWTOR after that. There needs to be some sort of system that sorts out the ppl with Hard Mode appropriate gear. Like at least a few Tioneese and Exotech gear. Or even a system that requires you to have completed a certain amount of Hard Mode Flashpoints to group up with other ppl that have completed all of em numerous times and are only doing the Group Finder FP for the Black Hole comms. Even a system that allows you to see the gear ppl are in before selecting ready in the Group Finder window. Until some sort of system that assures me that I won't be in a fail group, or a group of PvP'ers that are "trying out" PvE for the very first time ever. I won't be using Group Finder again. There is already a system set up in the game to rate our gear, why not make brackets for Group Finder. So that I can join a group with ppl that have a rating of at least 126 (Tioneese)-136 (Columi). Group Finder was supposed to make it easier to find a group to do instances with, but really it's nothing but a system making high level, high geared players carry the lowbies and PvP'ers all the way through the instances and having to pay very high repair bills (due to having the high lvl gear and/or custom gear) because a few ppl never took the extra effort to even attempt a HM FP like we did. It is unacceptable..
  9. Read the first post again, in no way did I even try to make a prediction on how it would work. That wasn't until after the trolls got on here, and yes.. trolls, ripping it apart. It was never meant to describe how it would be done, only that we invited others to join our server!! Now obviously, none of us know how it's going to happen. So how can anyone be telling me how it's going to happen, when no one but the Devs know how it's going to happen? You can guess all you want, but no one here knows how it's going to happen. And when I attempted to give my opinion on how it would work, since no one but the Devs know, the trolls got on here saying they know exactly how it's gonna happen. When they are only guessing.
  10. This was supposed to just be a thread stating that we have a great community on our server and we invite everyone to come join us on it. It was meant to be helpful to both our server and others looking for a server to come to until we had these trolls on here ripping everything apart here. It was never meant to discuss the details of transfers or the such, just inviting people to join us if they have the option. My posts do make sense, it's the trolls that make no sense at all here. Until BW posts the exact details, stop trolling on this thread; as it was only an invitation. Not a discussion.
  11. Well as much as I hate to say it. I won't be transferring from this server and if my server ends up even more dead because they did server transfers wrong. Then that will be the reason I stop playing. I love this game and I've waited patiently for them to address the population issues, but if they are going to do nothing but put everyone on a few servers (granted, maybe more than a few). Then that's pretty much BW saying, "F*** you, you should've re-rolled and not been patient". The best policy would be to transfer from a Heavy server to a Light and made it Standard, then move to another Light server and do the same there. Until most, if not all, servers have a decent population on them. Not have everyone move to a Heavy and then when those get to crowded, force players to move to servers that are still Light. It would put us in the same exact position that we are in now. When WoW and SWG both had very similar population issues, they only allowed transfers from the high pop servers to the low servers. They waited at least 2-3 months before they'd even allow paid transfers. And yes, WoW had a much more unstable launch and had the same exact population problem that swtor is having now. So based on that, swtor on track to being a much better game. I hope BW is reading these and figures out that they need to tell us more info about which servers are being transferred and so on. Because I'd like to know before my next subscription bill is due, if I'm going to cancel or not. At least if they gave us the info, we wouldn't be here arguing over who's right and so on. I still feel very confident that they will be only doing transfers from Heavy to Light and so on. There's no other logical explanation.
  12. For the last 2 months since they've discussed server transfers, the one thing the Devs have always said was they weren't going to allow people to transfer to Fatman or Harbinger. If people did that, then they'd be forced to go with mega servers. The server transfers are meant to take the already over-populated Fatman and Harbinger servers and spread them out amongst selected servers. The reason they're not doing the selected transfers at first is because people would do the same thing they've been doing already, moving to those two servers. The whole point of server transfer is to make all of the servers populated again, not make 2 or 3 servers over populated like they are now. I'm not reading out of context here, I am reading exactly what they said and applying real world knowledge and common sense to this. Which frankly, I have no idea how any of you think it's going to be any other way. They always transfer from Heavy to Light, ALWAYS!!!. Not a single MMO has ever offered free transfers from a Light to a Heavy server, ever. And in the case of swtor, where they're trying to save the game. They want all servers to at least be Medium, so when new players come in. They'll be able to choose a server that isn't dead, because if it's transfers to Heavy, then all the populated servers will be full and won't allow anymore players on it.
  13. Have you two taken a look at the latest Dev post about sever transfers? http://www.swtor.com/blog/character-transfer-server-populations-and-you. The way it will be is they'll only offer transfers from the Heavy servers to the Light servers. To quote the Dev post, "Players who are anxious to ensure they end up on a heavily populated server will naturally flock to what is perceived as the 'biggest' server, potentially over-populating that server. This eventually leads to the exact situation we're trying to move away from". So that means it will basically be like every other game that has done server transfers in order to save server population. I'm not trying to start an argument here, just with what the Dev post came across to me and everyone else I'd been talking to about server transfers to. Also, if you're going to comment back on this, please don't turn this into a troll or flame fest. As I am only doing this to make the game more enjoyable for a lot of people. I'm sure a lot of you can understand that. And as far as worrying about people leaving our server when transfers come. I'd been talking to both Rep and Imp players about what we need to do and what everyone's plans are and everyone who's stayed so far, all say they're not leaving. Mainly due to have legacy lvls around 30-40 and not wanted to just leave that and others just plain don't want to move period. So even if some people leave our server. I know our core players will still be playing on our server. If no one transfers to our server after a while, then we'll decided if we'll switch. I also found another thread that has collected a lot of info on character transfers. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=474209. It basically has good and bad info in it. Origin servers (most likely will be Heavy) can only transfer to selected servers (Light) for a while at first. So it looks like you won't have much choice on where to go. But I'd still like to say that if Twin Spears is an option to transfer to, then come on over!
  14. Everyone here on Twin Spears invites anyone and everyone to transfer to our server when the server transfers become available. We are currently a Light server and most likely will be eligible for a transfer. Our server was one of the first Heavy servers consisting of nearly all early-access players. With all but a few servers dwindling in population. We can honestly say that the players left over on our server are the most dedicated and prosperous, to not have felt the need to re-roll on a different server. Our server hold the Republic First for completing Karagaa's Palace when 1.2 launched (screen shots can be provided). Also with the dwindling population, our guilds have really stepped up. When any of our guilds don't have enough players to form a full Operations group, we've grouped together to form guild co-ops. I guess the main thing to take away is we've got at max 20-30 on either fleet at peak time, yet we still find the way to complete our PvP and PvE dailies and weekly. Technical side, we've never once had to have a server restart, or any other problems that were limited to one of a few servers, even at our peak time when the log-in queue was 2 hrs long (go ahead and check the CS forum and/or Dev Tracker forum). We are all very friendly, mostly-serious and enjoyable players here at Twin Spears and we invite you all to come join us.
  15. I'd like to say since this is a PC game AND since the original is a lot better than the xbox port. Go with the original, Crimson Skies. The reason I say that, is the Xbox version was very limited, almost completely linear in every way and well...... it's a PC version. I know exactly what you're getting at, a "free form" flying style instead of the "tunnel" flying style that is currently implemented. There is another thread that states a very similar idea, with a little bit more details on how the PvP space combat could be set up. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=150427. PvP space combat will of course be very fun, but there is one idea that a lot of ppl seam to be overlooking. A space combat Flashpoint or Operation. With the "tunnel" style they have set up now, it actually wouldn't be too hard to set up a Flashpoint space battle. The Operation might be a little too much to ask for, but all they'd have to do is set up a "loop" at the point where the boss fight is at, have it be a very large space vessel or even take the whole "attacking a space station" to another level. Have the space station have 2-3 times more targets to attack on it, over half being turrets. Have it where you have select Ops members be a boarding party that disables tractor beams, turbo lasers or what ever is called for to complete the Flashpoint/Operation. Seeing as how it's still too early to be speculating on an Exp Pack, it would be a better idea to ask Bioware to create some of these ideas in one of the major updates, possibly 1.5 or so.
  16. I actually think this is a pretty good idea. I personally love the whole space combat idea. I wish it was more than just a mini-game. I know it's too late to request Bioware to change the space battles from a "tunnel" type style to Star Wars Galaxies' free form space combat. Where you can go literally anywhere you want to go in space, take on any battle the way you want to take it on. For me, I loved the space battles and played them over and over, til I could almost close my eyes and still complete all the objectives. But if they would expand on the space battles, maybe make a new PvP warzone where you have a battlefield zone and you're able to roam around it somewhat free form in your own spaceships. That way it would represent a "large engagement" where you just look around and you see Imperial and Republic ships just zooming around fighting each other. That would satisfy my craving for more space battles, while keeping it always fresh and always engaging. I've been beta testing ever since the 3rd month it was allowed (roughly early 2010) and the idea of a guild flagship was thrown around A LOT on the beta forums. The Bioware Dev team never once said no to it, nor did they ever try to put down the thought of one. So it would seam that Bioware may be looking into ways of making it part of the game. In my honest opinion, I don't think we'll have to wait for an Exp pack to see it; as there are numerous important lore stuff that was in the betas, but somehow wasn't included in launch. I can't say too much more, just let me say.... they don't make something for the game, take it out at launch and never use it. It will be back at some time in the future.
  17. I never thought of it like that. But I do know that even if Rep cap esat turret first it will fire instantly against Imps. I'll work on getting a screenshot for that posted on here.
  18. Yea, like I said before. I dealt with it at first, but after losing those stalemates. It started making me mad. And when you really think about it, it's almost like a butterfly effect like glitch. If the side turrets are capped at the same time and the mid capped a little after by the faction controlling the east turret, then the 2 turret bonus kicks in and it exponentializes the advantage given by the glitch. Even if mid is capped by other side, they'll have a harder time catching up to the lead that was given. Even Imps are affected by this. If Rep goes for the east turret instead of west and gets it, it will be the same situation for the imps.
  19. Here are screenshots I took about 20 minutes ago. I was trying to use a separate program that would put a date/time stamp on each screen shot, but they kept coming out all black just showing the ToR cursor. So til I find a solution for that, I'll have to use the in game screenshots. If you look at the bottom left of the screen shot, you'll see that I have my companion deployed on a crew task. So for the timing between screen shots, you can use the time differences there. Between the second screenshot and the third screenshot, 15 seconds pass by. The first one is just showing the warzone was just starting. The second shows that I clearly capped the left turret before Imps capped the right. The third shows how even though I capped first, there was still more damage done to us. http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i426/kevo1124/Screenshot_2012-01-06_21_38_04_560470.jpg http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i426/kevo1124/Screenshot_2012-01-06_21_39_30_505385.jpg http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i426/kevo1124/Screenshot_2012-01-06_21_39_46_256286.jpg
  20. Haha, that's completely understandable. This thread is mainly meant for the developers. So I tried giving as much info as possible for even the Imperials to replicate it. If anyone can confirm it for themselves. Please post what you did and your results here. I will be working on attaching screenshots for it, if it helps some ppl to "believe me". lol
  21. PoortKnyght

    Wow

Here's a post about a Imp favored glitch that makes them win every single stalemate, even if Rep captured the turret seconds before the Imps capture theirs. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=139180 Please at least read it, it's an exploit that that is horribly favored towards Imps.
  22. Here is another PvP glitch that should be fixed as soon as possible. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=139180
  23. Why is it that ppl who make threads about how "they're not going to play anymore" and they instantly get ppl replying, yet no one even makes one reply on a perfectly valid PvP exploit?
  24. I don't understand how you're having so much problems being a sentinel? You just don't attack ppl outright. You let other ppl attack first and then you attack. Just as if you're in an operation and you let the tank handle all the threat. In PvP usually if they're being swarmed by 2 or more, the person being attacked will attack the first person to engage them.
  25. Also the Civil War warzone has a similar problem. Read this thread I started earlier http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=139180. It talks about a glitch that could cause Imps to win a stalemate every single time.
