  1. I wish this was possible. I also wish they let us wear old tier sets for fun to use the bonuses. The game is getting stale fast.
  2. WHAT?? Your saying the set bonus is now just baked into the merc class talent tree???? That would be absolutely insane.
  3. I agree, the set bonus should nerf the healing aspect if its really that problematic. Alternatively they should just stop making general sets that are good for every spec in that class.
  4. Operative is the definitive solo class. It was designed to be an objective based class that can move between objectives undetected and quickly. The purpose of the Operative is to disrupt the enemy from being productive, alternatively to prevent the enemy from doing important things (defending objectives, healing specific targets). I have never thought my healing was meaningful in a large arena. My self healing however is fantastic. If your hitting the operative, hes doing a good job. They don't need any nerfs because its not a mega class. Operative isn't going to win every objective skrim and their not going to contest points all on their own. Their entire purpose is to slip away from the team and pop up on the enemy, making things really annoying, and they are really annoying. I will admit the burst from concealment was pretty insane, but its been dialed back to a good spot. If they get nerfed again it will be pretty bad.
  5. Now that would be really awesome. I like that idea alot.
  6. Some specs absolutely need heavy CC to pull off their big combos. There just no way my operative has a chance against a big fat power tech without using my cc. I will get crushed every time. The CC is so important, you throw off your opponents game plan, thats the point. Now when theres 8 v 8 in the middle and everyone is blowing each other up, your likely going to be perma CC'd. If there was half the CC time/spells in this game, it would just be which team gets rushed down first.
  7. Please allow Training dummies to be a decoration item. It baffles me that we cant hook our guild SH and FS with these. This is where my entire guild spends most of their time. Its our hub and we enjoy being there, dueling, talking and having fun. Allowing training dummies lets me advise my friends on their rotation in real time and I can star parse their dps. I have alot of new players in the guild it just happens that we cant have a dummy on the flagship, which is a little strange imo.
  8. I'm not asking only for the guild flagship, but this is where my entire guild spends most of their time. Its our hub and we enjoy it being there dueling talking and having fun. 9. No I mean just general fixes in the code that have been here since the start, that the devs seem to either intentionally ignore (maybe because its a waste of their time? idk). Truthfully the tools are mostly for the cartel shop, such as models and skins. I want to be able to use biowares engine and assets to construct new gear, items, companions, decorations ect. Then if BIOWARE and the community feel it fits the game, they can add it as in game item for the cartel market. Dota 2 does this very well. Check out - Here is how player can get started https://www.dota2.com/workshop/ https://steamcommunity.com/app/570/workshop/ --- Look at all this community content. All of this is player made because the devs gave the tools to the players. Most of these are custom game modes (which do not fit swtor) but also in game items to unlock/purchase. Valve gave the tools to the players, to model items and test them, then the playerbase votes on the items as a community, and finally, when valve decided if its lore friendly and safe for the game, they implement the item.
  10. I suppose that would attract alot of abusive people. I still believe if they gave us the asset tools, making custom items for the cartel market would be very beneficial, keeping the game fresh with new experiences. I would KILL to be able to wear gear that translates my character into a full droid, sort of like a skin like companions can get. Obviously its just a skin and lore wise, I am still the original race I selected. I would love to be able to model things on my free time, and this surge of new cartel items could give BIOWARE an incentive to lower prices in the market because of the frequency of new uploads of high quality stuff.
  11. I honestly didn't mean that kind of content. Bioware should remain in charge of raid content, pve content and pvp content, along with balance changes. The players should be able to handle little things that bothers us on a daily experience like bug fixes and quality of life. Only you and I know what effects us on a regular basis and what tiny fixes would make things easier because we play the game frequently. I would never want players do design playable content like flashpoints because that should be up to the original devs with their vision in mind.
  12. The game is reaching a point where development could potentially also shift into the hands of the community. With a player-base so dedicated to the game, I am more than certain at least 5-10% of the players would mess around with modification tools, similar to what Valve puts out. Of course the realm of the tools would likely go over the head of most people, a quick tutorial on how modeling works within the game and along with basic coding with the hero engine could provide swtor the community tools to progress the game state into a more lively setting. I'm talking about bug fixes, clipping issues, minor dialogue de-sync... all these things could be handled by dedicated players who enjoy working with and supporting the community . This doesn't have to just be about game play though. Creative players could potentially fill the cartel market with 100s of new items, outfits, skins, and mounts. Instead of a "suggestion" forum where 1-3 things get picked up once in a blue moon, let the players visually see what they could be getting by allowing content creators to model these things. The community will benefit so much for this, and one day this game will get discontinued, so having the community get a understanding of the code could potentially preserve the game when EA one day pulls the plug. I didn't make this thread to hear all the ITS NOT POSSIBLE replies, because it is possible, its always possible to give tools to the community. Obviously the player content will need to be vetted before implementing which is what I think would be the biggest bottle neck from bioware, they would need a team who actively evaluates these things and see if it can be added to the game.
  13. I think it was a huge oversight to miss this. Bioware, bring us operation training dummies for our guild hall. It would be nice to watch each other go through rotations and give tips to our friends and guildmates.
  14. I totally get it OP, alot of my friends always want to experience the story first before they go into the skip mode. I suggest playing solo modes on all the flash points so you can be fully immersed in the lore, then queing with people who just want to play.
  15. It would be nice as long as its restricted. For example: You may have one operation portal and one flash point portal on your flag ship at the same time. Weekly cooldown change which OP/FP is at your guild. This way guilds can select the OP they want to deal with and comfortably enter in and out without issues. Also this brings me to another question, why are you not allowed to be in an operation group on your flag ship? Seems really silly.
