  1. Good post. It amazes me how many people will focus fire scrubs away from where they need to be. Positioning for passing is probably the best skill to have in there. A new 50 Sent starting playing 50s WZ on my server and she (yes, a RL she) is always getting into good positions to get passes AND she clears enemies out of here area so they don't intercept... talk about being a team player and not even having a lot of gear at first. Oh... Add Trooper Vanguard tanks to this one.
  2. Server transfers are supposed to happen before the ranked WZs come out, so essentially you should have a larger population on the server, which in turn (I sincerely hope) will fix the WZ queue problem.
  3. We can't duel in the fleet, so how about making it possible to have different players' companions duel each other? It could maybe be a legacy perk. Would be kind of funny and entertaining while waiting for WZ queues.
  4. What makes you think you will be able to transfer to Fatman? If they open specific servers to transfers, I highly doubt they would open the highest pop pvp server...
  5. My OP is about the fact that it isn't considered a heal under warzone stats.
  6. That's funny, seeing that the top pre-mades on my server run with Vanguards and Powertechs tanking their healers.
  7. You assume too much. I was replying to the OP, which is the point of the thread.
  8. Short answer: yes. If you have, for example, BM Supercommando boots, but you want the Combat Tech boots, you will need to grind the BM Combat Tech boots. This is the case unless you have (in the trooper example) some Eliminator pieces that can be traded in for certain Combat Tech pieces.
  9. I would like to see: A more customizable floating combat text. More customizable buff bars. More Hotbars. Being able to macro emotes to hotbars Unlocking mouse look while moving forward without it snapping back to front. Thank you.
  10. So wait. No dps should be able to kill you? And that would be balanced? IIRC SWToR PvP is based on team play, not 1v1.
  11. Aye. I specced for the 2 min CD and it comes in handy in a lot of situations. Would be nice to get a Dev input on this. Not a huge deal, but when a Guardian is above me in stats due to the "heal", I /facepalm... Just competitive like that...
  12. It does show up over you. I have about 17k hp and the initial heal is over 800, then the ticks after that are much smaller. It's nothing to scoff at... can't complain about getting 15% health back. I use it all the time in pvp.
  13. It seems like everyone other AC gets credit for self heals, why not Vanguards!
  14. Kind of a noob question, but I've been wondering for a while why Adrenaline Rush doesn't show as healing under WZ stats. Seems like every other class' self-heals do. Can anyone let me know why this is so? Seems to me that it should count as a heal for us.
  15. ^this. My guildie is a Sent and he was wasting me in 1v1s. Did I come cry for nerfs? No... I asked him how he did certain things and asked for tips on counters, etc. People would be surprised how much you can learn about another class if you take the time. So maybe not just L2P, but know your class and learn your enemy's class.
  16. So how are you going about stacking your mods to get 30% crit and have room to stack power after that?
  17. Armor has always been paper to a Sorc.
  18. Just theorycrafting at this point, but I would agree that the loss of the 4-pc bonus on combat tech gear is minor to the benefit of the augments. Side question: I see people talking about using the crit or power augs, but why wouldn't you stack aim?
  19. Of course gear doesn't equal skill. But if you're saying the Joe Schmoe who just hit level 50 should have the same gear as someone who's been putting time and effort into upgrading their gear for months (and who also started at a gear disadvantage), then I disagree Many people who plan and play intelligently can be a benefit to their team at 50. If you get everything for free, why work for anything?
  20. I think you need to look up what entitlement means. If you work hard to be superior, it's not an entitlement. It's reward for time and effort. So you want better pvp starter gear because your teammates are poorly geared? For real? Giving easy starter gear isn't going to cure the tards who play on your team and are still wearing level 40 gear at level 50.
  21. Is this another entitlement thread? "I'm 50 so I need to be able to go toe-to-toe with someone who's been pvping in the 50s bracket for months, because I'm special." This topic is new and exciting.
  22. I don't think you read what I wrote, ironically. I wasn't making an argument; they were statements. And if you are going to call people out on reading comprehension, maybe you should work on your spelling ability.
  23. Everyone is getting melted right now with the expertise changes. Heavy SS has always been gimped in PvP seeing it only shields half the damage types, so the extra health is the only added value. (I play a modified Iron Fist, which was a bit tougher before 1.2) It's not just us... I saw combat medics getting face-rolled yesterday that used to be unstoppable. I knew that expertise needed work when people in full Rakata gear were doing well in pvp, but this doesn't seem right. Hopefully it's something that is being looked into...
