I got jumped & camped by 3 imp guys. I now do the same to every imp I see, hoping they'll quit the game.

Jumping works on the fleet, but nowhere else.

Commandos aren't meant for tanking, they are meant for dishing out damage (or healing) so focus on that instead. Or better yet, equip some willpower gear and see how far that gets you.

All classes are viable at pvp and pve, so you just go ahead and play whatever class you want to play. If you enjoy paladin in WoW I'll bet you'll enjoy the commando more than the sentinel due to the fact that you can be a healer & a damage dealer from afar (err 30m) whereas the sentinel is mainly a damage dealer up in your face. Just grab field respec and enjoy being super versatile in your role as a commando. Personally I'm sick of all the jedi / sith bullcrap, so I roll with guns only, and the commando has a big f****** gun to boot and it looks awesome.

If you get to shoot first, you'll kill any class with ease. If you don't, you're gonna have to fight for your life and most likely lose. Commando talk btw.

I've witnessed 2 hits instead of 3 mutliple times (no not boss fights), effectively making me lose 3-5k damage. Fix this soon please.

Something for the solo player. Stop crying.

After patch I seem to be emptying my energy cells much faster than I am used to. My regular rotation usually leaves me with just a tad above half energy cells, however after patch it's now below 10% .. If someone could look into this that would be great, I really don't want another commando mess.

Absolutely not. Needing for companions is the lowest of the low.

You can transfer set bonuses to your orange stuff now. Just move the armor mod from a set to your orange stuff and you'll see the bonus stats taking effect in the item popup. Very handy if you like a specific look and don't want to be a clone trooper (dot dot dot). Anyway for dps, 2 pieces of the campaign eliminator set will give you a nice +15% crit chance to grav rounds which undoubtedly will increase your dps output by quite a bit as it is the most used skill by gunnery commandos.

Who dominates depends entirely on the amount of shadows/assassins that is currently in the warzone. Balance went out the window when bioware created those classes.
