Sorry for the thread Necro...but I too do not enjoy the "Take Cover" ability...Every once in a while, during a heated battle in a zone w/ multiple groups of mobs, things may get heated and I look to pop out then back into cover so I can get the insta-cast, but when I re-enter cover i'm rolled towards another group of mobs...so instead of fighting 4 I'm now fighting 8. Take Cover in Place however is another story...That's all I want to do EVER. I'd like an ability (or just an icon) called "Take Cover in Place" that I can bind to my Naga... The issue w/ swapping the bindings is that I don't have a good/clean way to bind 'F' key to my Naga's 12 button AND have the picture/icon (which for some OCD reason, I like having). Just another icon: "Take Cover in Place" would be perfecto... And for the record, I use the Naga for everything but targeting. Running, abilities, etc...so I use the KB very little, and while having to hit the "F" key is a little thing, it doesn't fit my play style...

Thanks for the input folks...I do like the class a lot (when I'm not getting rolled by Golds)...Dig the stealthing, the BS'ing...I guess I need to really pay more attn to when a mob is casting something...if doesn't have a relatively long casting period, I usually don't have time to interrupt...I'll keep after it (and I just realized I have a shield in my OH vs something that helps w/ DPS...doh)

So I recently stopped playing my main (pretty well decked out Trooper) and started playing a Shadow...figured, it's Star Wars, right? I should have a high level alt w/ a sabre...Loved the toon until I got to Voss... i'm 46 ATM, decently geared...all oranges w/ 40-45 level item enhancements...But I have trouble taking down Gold Star's [Proving Grounds Abomination in the Spirit World Proving Grounds for example]. Maybe I just need to LTP, but holy crud...I've done fine previously on Golds on previous worlds; this guy is wrecking me. I feel like my rotation is "fine" Starting w/ SK > SS > FP > FB > CSx2 > TT > FS > MC...etc (w/ a deflection thrown on) Tried it w/ Tharan, tried it with Nadia...no dice... Tell me that: a) I'm doing something wrong (rotaion), a 46 v a 45 gold SHOULD be easy b) Shadows are broken Thanks for input / advice...I like the concept of the class, but I like being able to solo w/ success when needed...

Doh...you are correct...I was thinking of the Enhancements...I swapped out on of the Adepts for an Overkill. For the Augs, I was basically considering swapping 3 Reflex for Surge, but I hate to lose the Aim... I just looked into a Parsing app...I may give that a try and see what the Dummy says. Thanks so much for the info...it's really helped. I've placed my Reflex Augs back in...I guess I have realized that outside of Raiding (etc...), I may have the best AFFORDABLE point allocation (28's are all I can afford ATM). I presently have 2500 Aim // 100%+ Acc // 65% Crit Multi // 918 Power. The only tweak I was considering was dropping 3 of my Adept Augs for Overkills. Effectively dropping Aim by 84 but adding 96 Power...But even this leaves me way shy of the #'s I need for Surge. ...Time to start hitting some HM's I guess

Ok, so I feel foolish asking this question...but I won't know unless I do...Perviously mentioned was that the Surge softcap is 75%...I'm no where NEAR that even after swapping out my Aim/End Augs for Surge/End...If I look @ my Crit Multiplier (67.8%), it's shows that my Surge is 322 (17.8%)... Am I reading something incorrectly? i'm still working on getting the Agile 28's to replace my Agile 28A's, but I wanted to ask about the Surge Softcap. Is there a # (395 or 900 or 1 BILLION) that I should be shooting for in regards to Surge & Power IF I'm level 55 w/ Crafted item enhancement? I plan on running FP's, SM's, etc (but all I've done is PvP and Solo at this point), I just want to make sure I have my gear set up to give me the best chance for success. thanks for all the help

^^^ This may have something to do with it...my PvE gear is simply oranges that I like the look of, that have crafted 28's in them (can't afford the 30's or 31's). So I do not have any PvE Set Bonus. What is the set I should be looking @ for PvE? (For my PvP set, I have all pieces...not the top tier stuff)

Ok, so it sounds like I should swap out my 28A's for 28's, and have my ranged (and tech?) Accuracy between 99-100...then stack Surge? I appreciate the time responding to my inquiry...here's to building the better 'mando...Now I just gotta find the 28's...seems everyone is selling the A's

I'm presently using the 28A's (I'm not too worried about PvP, I have a separate set that is all PvP stuff). I don't recall the stats on the X's, but I'll look into them. Is there a Hard # for Surge? I see 395 mentioned on the forums, but I thought I also read that "Main Stat" is the end all, be all...which I am beginning to doubt. Thanks for the input.

So Surge should be @ 74%? Cuz mine is @ ~10%...So I'm WAY off...I believe I read someplace that 395 Surge is the # you are shooting for. I guess I'll throw on my old Surge Augs and see what happens. Thanks!

So I have a 55 Mando that is a blast to play, but I'm beginning to wonder if I "built' him correctly...I have done no ops or FP's...lots of PvP. That said, my gear is as good as I can get it (without the 30/31 item enhancements). All Armoring (8x): 74 Aim / 61 End All Mods (9x): 70 Aim / 48 End / 26 Pwr All Augs are (7x): 28 aim / 18 End Aim / Pwr Barrell & 2 Pwr color crystals Ear, Implants, Relics (from PvP) are solid, Aim orientated pieces (can't recall names) I played w/ a slightly lesser geared buddy of mine (not sure if his skill tree) and it seemed as if he was hitting harder than I was in a couple Heroics we were doing...coulda been rotation, could it be I have too much Aim and not enough Surge or Crit mixed in? At present I have 2636 Aim Crit chance is 20% // Crit multi is 60.5% Ranged Acc: 101% // Tech Acc: 111.32% Surge Rating is 154 So I'm wondering if I should be reallocating some of my Aim into Surge or Crit...or maybe I just to l2p

Some of them vanished, but that I could understand...I think it was the terrain option...I'll check that and see...The targets were essentially in my cross-hairs, I'd Leap to them and then be chasing them w/o them targeted...hitting my buttons like a moron, not doing anything... Thanks for the input, I'll see if that's my issue.
