  1. The overwhelming majority of players who *are* enjoying this game and who will fuel its continuing growth from Bioware, don't care about the one-offs who feel the need to come post to everyone their individualized disappointment. Good bye, see you when you return. Next.
  2. Another post from Anarcho, the full-time TOR hater who chooses to sit in front of his monitor on Christmas Day and take every chance he can to post how much he dislikes this game. (shakes head)
  3. The preorders, the CE sellouts, the long queues to get into the game or even on to the website, these things all speak for themselves. The doomsayers are trying, but they cannot ignore reality, no matter how skewed the posts are in their direction. The vast majority of players are *playing* and enjoying the game. My wife and I have never enjoyed an MMO more, and we've been playing them since UO. And we both realize the many shortcomings inherent in a game that is 5 days old lol. The most exciting thing about that fact is knowing how much better this game will get after expansions and new content and features are added. We are home here for the long haul. Merry Christmas, Bioware and all you players out there enjoying the game. And you haters, too! Have a happy holiday and try smiling. It's good for you. ;-)
  4. I made my first Matrix Cube at L24 having no idea what I was doing. I had been collecting matrix shards and had a blue, red and yellow. Not knowing what I was doing, I inserted all three into the assembler and came out with the Level 15 STR-Endurance relic, which doesn't help me. I dont have the power core necessary to disassemble, so I'm wondering, can I collect more matrix shards from the same datacrons? In other words, can I go back and get the matrix shards again and assemble a new cube? Otherwise, how could you assemble at level 50 a matrix cube using all three of the same color? Thanks,
  5. For the love of God, YES PLEASE give us a sell-back option or a confirmation dialog. Good user interface design makes it easy to recover from mistakes. My wife bought a stupid customization for her companion and is sitll fuming over it ...
  6. As much as I love this game and generally avoid the whiners, THIS OP is correct and I agree with him. The world is not sufficiently populated and that is the kiss of death for an MMO. I hope to see more peeps show up. Many here are completely missing his point. Of COURSE he understands sharding, we all do. That's not the issue, I KNOW there are other players online that do not share my world. The issue is the over-use of sharding as a ghetto resource management tool to artificially limit player population and item count in a zone. Instead of having 100 servers separated by 100 different shards (these numbers are for illustration), they might just as well have 10,000 different worlds. I'm not advocating this, its just to make the point that we are all artificially isolated from each other too much and this diminishes the experience of an MMO. I understand why it is done and the relative trade offs, but I agree that it is overdone and hope to see planetary instancing reduced, or the caps upped.
  7. What are you *talking* about? My wife makes stimpacks and gives them to me all the time. Are you perhspas thinking of the reusables? Those are indeed limited to Biochem user (raising the question why anyone would put them on the market since the only people who can buy them are the ones who can make them).
  8. I think they come randomly from all missions. I have UT and never choose lock boxes but have enjoyed a steady supply of schematics.
  9. You can untrain them from the UI. Hit the x on the right side of the line listing your skill.
  10. Your post will get a lot more answers if the subject line actually gives a clue to your question ...
  11. I've never had to wait in a queue yet I keep reading all these horror stories and wondering why it isn't happening here. My server is one of only two West Coast RP servers, I would have expected it to be a popular choice. But apparently not. What is it about the servers you folks are choosing that is causing you these horrible queues?
  12. I bought two and we're both quite happy with ours. Why did you buy something you didn't want? It's not like you didn't know what you were getting ... do you always throw $150 around like that without knowing what you're getting? (shakes head)
  13. You of all people should know that the best PvP players are the ones with dedicated PvP toons, not dual speccers who can't remember which key to press today.
  14. You should buy up all 350, leave them in the shrink wrap and sell them on eBay. You'll clean up.
  15. Nice. Turn it into a political or moral argument and use name-calling to make your points. If you sense something very wrong in this thread, it might just be your inability to accept that people who have a different view than yours may have just as much legitimacy as you. There are sound gameplay reasons that affect EVERYONE at the heart of the objections to re-spec, and I think you know that.
  16. Of course it's on his end. And it's probably something wonky that he's doing with his system that is causing him this and other problems. One less player to lag us all tomorrow, /shrug.
  17. In beta the first re-spec was free, the second 100 credits, and I never went beyond that so I have no idea how it progressed thereafter. Seemed reasonable to me.
  18. Of course, I'm not new to forum whining or corporate marketing strategies. Your point?
  19. I agree with all of the comments pointing out the destructive impact of a "dungeon finder" type tool, and the lack of a need for one. I also understand those who wish to get into a dungeon as fast as possible without regard for who or what plays alongside them, and I would suggest a number of other games for them, including Guild Wars and others that provide that kind of anonymity and mechanical play. THIS is not that type of game, and those who are unwilling or unable to play this style of community-based, story-driven adventure, need to accept and embrace this reality, or move on. Re-hashing the same old arguments again and again ("I'm too busy IRL to have time to meet people") is not going to change reality. Next.
  20. Maybe the development team for Taris was on drugs, dunno, but I had lots of problems on Taris in beta (and bugged them all, all reproducible), but I thought they were all fixed in release because I have not encountered any of them since EGA began. This is the first I've heard of problems since release.
