  1. I'm trying my best to promote the game to friends and I myself stay interested, and I will for sure give bioware/ea time because things can't be fixed over night when it comes to bugs and such, but unfortunately a problem I don't see being fixed is how this is NOT an MMO. It's more of a M/SM/SO. What that stands for is Massive but small Multiplayer but Single Player Online. The non-stop cut scenes were cool at first but by level 10 I was getting slightly bored, nonetheless overall I like them. It really lets me get into the story but the problem is this is annoying as multiplayer. When I try to run with a friend we're constantly waiting on eachother and then for some reason you add Single Player only story lines. So if I go into a chamber on a certain quest only I can go. How much fun is that to be the other guy just sitting around outside alone in this MMO? Like I said unfortunately I don't see this changing because it's what this game is sold on and it's deeply integrated so will either have to get used to it or get bored with constantly standing around waiting on someone unless I want to play single player my whole Sith life. As far as "massive" I wouldn't go that far. I've been in dungeons or raids in Warcraft that are bigger than the "start" zones on here. This is not a "WoW" promotion, I despise WoW because of how they treat customers but when the only option is to play WoW and actually be able to do stuff with friends and explore something huge or play single player and explore a miniature planet I'd have to say I'm leaning back towards WoW. As stated though, and I recommend everyone do this, I will be giving ToR time. I myself plan on hanging around a minimum of 6 months and as long as it shows that they are trying to address things in the game and listening to the players I will stick around to keep trying until they, like others, start ignoring the players. I love Bioware and was EXCITED to hear they were going to be part of this, but I fear they have made this too much like a console single player game and without some adjustments it will grow old to pay $15 a month to play by myself or wait around for non-stop cut scenes. As I will state in all my posts: ALLOW ADDONS There are certain things I can't stand about the UI and all I can blame is horrible planning by bioware. In bg's I can't see part of my right quickslot bar because of the retarded map placement covering it. On the left I have a chat box and pet avatar taking up space. With an addon I could make it my own and if it looks bad it's my fault, but right now it's absolutely Biowares fault and there's nothing I can do because I'm locked in to this lack of customization.
  2. So far I'm really liking the direction of the game. Kudos to the team(s) that put this together, but I'm also a little deterred by a few things. I'm not going to judge anything yet because it is brand new and I'll just hope that within time little things can be changed. 1. More visible targets. By this I mean when I'm questing it's hard to tell what I have targeted. It's just a small red circle under them so when I want to quickly stun 1 of 4 I hit the wrong one most the time. A better targeting system would be nice. Something even like (idea from other game addon) where your current targets health bar shines brighter. When you don't have something targeted their bar is maybe like 50% opacity whereas when they are targeted it's 100% and all others are still lower for greater visibility. (Down side to that idea is it only solves problem IF the player has health bars enabled). 2. Please move the PVP battleground map. I have my right quickslot bar enabled and have keybindings on CC casts (stun/push/etc) and can't see if they are ready again because the map just engulfs my screen. Possibly it's because of my resolution but the game should adapt to resolution. I can't go buy a new monitor just to be able to see my action bars. (1360X768) btw, but I also don't want to have to keep changing which quickslot I use just because of a bad map design. I can't use left because the chat box and companion thing take up that space and I can't use right because of the map. 3. Didn't notice this until I decided to post some ideas on here, but please, you spent millions making this game, fix this forum site. This is the most ghetto thing I have ever seen. It took me 7 minutes just to figure out where to post and how to post and when I finally get to this part of it it looks like something coded by a kid using a free yahoo site or something. I'm trying to encourage multiple friends/guildies from Warcraft to come to Star Wars but it gets hard when something that's easily made nice such as forums looks so tacky. They all see this. They research before buying a new game. 4. I know you guys "might" do this, I'm just saying this as my 2 cents. Please please allow addon development. The biggest thing that I love about other games (you know which I'm talking about) is the fact that I can make it my own. You gave us nice graphics and story and development now let us make parts of it our own. I mainly speak of the UI. You're UI is really nice but when I pay $15 a month if there's something I don't like (Like map placement or an action bar that's just in a super annoying place) and I can't change that, I tend to stop paying. If it wasn't for 3rd party addons for customizing I wouldn't be playing The Game with no name either. Their story and development is crap but at least I can play through that crap with a look that's pleasing to me and lets me enjoy hours of looking at it. 5. Please adjust the starting quest after you leave your start planet. I was told when I first go to the fleet I get to pick a specialty or what not. So I was excited, but then I get there and the very first thing I see is someone telling me to get on another ship, so I think this is all part of it. Of course it wasn't (I know this now), but it was frustrating to have to go through many hallways to a trainer that apparently is better than all others (since apparently they couldn't just teach me), but the worst part was being new to it all and the first thing I see is a smack in the face with a quest to confuse me on where I really need to go. If I hadn't asked in General chat I wouldn't have even known. 6. This is minor. You know how the camera will "detach" when it's at ground level or whatever. Well I noticed that when I'm running and I have my camera level and my char goes up a hill multiple times my camera would bug. I guess because it "sensed" ground. Was super simple to get around I would just zoom in and zoom out again but nonetheless I mention it here so you know. If I don't zoom in/out the camera just acts weird every time I move. *** Finale I'm sure there will be more to say as I play more and I'm sure you've heard this and many others from people already. The biggest thing I want to make clear is I'm not here to complain. I'm here to hopefully help any way I can. I've played WoW for so long and am tired of their failure to treat their customers as more than a paycheck. Too many games have tried to compete then failed, but this is the first one I've played and I see awesome potential. You guys did a fantastic job. This is not a complaint post, it's a, please keep pushing forward post. I'm hoping in a few months I can finally cancel my other game account because someone finally put customers first and made an awesome game.
