  1. Well, the scoundrel gives you more flexibility in end-game, since you can heal or DPS. Since you're pugging, mostly, you'll have a much easier time finding groups as a healer than as DPS. Plus, eventually dual-slec will be implemented, at which point you can bounce back and forth between being a healer when groups are hard to find, and being DPS when they're not. Gunslinger doesn't offer you that kind of flexibility.
  2. Well, on the Imperial side, that's what the Terenthium Barrage Jacket looks like. And for the record, Imperial Agents get two good looks- either the trenchcoat thing or the Imperial officer thing. Everything else is boring-looking breastplates. I'm actually having a terrible time finding something distinctive-looking for my Operative, since there are like three other Chiss IAs in my guild, and they're already monopolized all the cool-looking gear.
  3. My trooper is a body type 1 female Mirialan. I like the incongruity of her running around with giant blaster rifles. I also kept her in the moddable version of that white jumpsuit you get on the starting planet, to enhance the lulz. I don't really think that dynamic would apply with a smuggler, though. FWIW, I almost made my male smuggler body type 3. Most of the dudes I know that have that back-slapping sort of charm the smuggler has going on are all these huge ex-jocks turned salesmen from like Boston or NY. I know enough of those guys that I sort of suspect they're grown in a lab somewhere. tl:dr I like choosing the wrong body type for my toons.
  4. I did the same thing, and ended up going with Jedi Guardian and Sith Marauder. JG just felt more clasically Jedi, with the single saber and the classic brown robes. As for companions, SWs get a healer sooner than JKs do, so you might want to keep that in mind. On the flip side, JKs get a tank companion to start, but SWs have to wait a long time before they get their's.
  5. Other than Jaesa, I don't imagine that it's all that different. When I was helping a DS guildie juggernaut with the last fight, it seemed to be literally identical.
  6. I've never been knocked to the login screen by using Force Leap, but I have experienced a lot of client crashes when using that power.
  7. I leveled my Sith Warrior to 50 and thought "This is awesome. No way the other class quests are better than this." My guildies who were leveling along with me agreed. My next character was a Jedi Knight. I thought it was almost as good as Sith Warrior...until I got to the end of Act 2, at which point I think it basically blows the SW story out of the water. That said, I haven't finished my JK story, so it's entirely possible I'll change my mind if the ending isn't as satisfying as the SW's.
  8. Yeah, I'm gonna have to hop on the "Sith Warrior story is awesome" bandwagon. I still like the Jedi Knight story a bit better, but I would say that SW is awesome pretty much all the way through. Also, keep in mind that being bored by planet quests isn't the same thing as being bored by your class quest. I pretty much skip Balmorra with my alts because I find it so tedious, even though I actually liked the class stuff there.
  9. Oh, and this would require more development time, but having your companions talk to each other during these FPs would rule. I'm imagining all the horrible things Vette and Jaesa would say to each other if you're romancing them both.
  10. I think this is a great idea, as well. I'd love to use my companions. And the companion AI never struck me as bad, but I also never use tank companions, and that seems to be where most of the complaints lie.
  11. I think you missed something in WoW if you think that the Horde were "misunderstood, honorable bad guys." They weren't supposed to be bad guys at all! The Horde and Alliance were supposed to have equally defensible points of view.
  12. I was curious about this thing, but it's so odd looking I couldn't really tell how many thumb buttons it has. 4? 5? 2?
  13. Interesting. The idea here isn't to have individual abilities mapped to the mouse so much as it is to map the mouse buttons to CTRL and SHIFT. I basically just want to use one row of keybinds plus the mouse buttons to cover all of my abilities. Will that work with the G700 as it currently stands?
  14. Hmm. That'r pretty close. I'll put that one under consideration. Thanks!
  15. Physically, the Hex is almost exactly what I want. I just really don't like the way it looks. I was hoping someone would know of something similar that isn't so.... green.
