  1. Go for power. Crit is nice, but the talent that makes crits give energy is with Diagnostic Scan, which is really important. Power is always good, and has no DM, meaning you can stack it as much as you want, and it doesn't reduce the amount you get once you've stacked too much. Good luck!
  2. Nice Vid. I'm wondering if that could even be used for full DPS + a few self heals when needed. The longer TA is great, in which you wouldn't have to rush your Lacerations as much. Anyways, sweet vid, even if your team wasn't great. (You and the assassin went to grass alone, against like 5 of them, yet your team took forever to cap mid )
  3. Looks like you were having fun. Good vid, but some advice. When you leave combat, enter stealth right away, don't engage unless the target is lower then 30%, and you have allies focusing it. That way, you instantly lose threat (PvP focusing, I guess) and can now use your heavy hitter.
  4. Either. Personally, having played both, I get better results with Lethality, 'specially on my sniper. Really, more FUN, is Concealment. If you get over the fact of the lack-luster damage, and long CDs, you really feel like a ******, especially in PvP. Personally, my fav class + spec, even with all the nerfs. Try both, see which you prefer.
  5. Okay, I know this has been said before, but it can't stay like this. DPS operative for PvE and PvP is too weak. Seriously. Lethality, sure, it's find for PvE, but what about Concealment? Weak in PvE and PvP... Trying to make Operative a bit more balanced with these ideas, without drastically increasing damage, and not doing anything that made Operative hated in the first place. Hidden Strike, the completely useless ability after opening. So here are my suggestions: Change Waylay to reduce the CD on Backstab to 9 seconds, instead of the worthless 4% damage increase. Make Laceration not require tac. advantage and lower the damage by 20-25%, OR reduce the internal CD on collateral strike to 6 seconds or none, so that we can focus on a rotation like: AB, HS, Shiv, Laceration, Laceration, AB BS, Shiv, Laceration, Laceration, Laceration and so on, allowing us to keep constant DPS on targets, without the gaps of burst. Meticulously Kept Blades. Okay, great talent, but why is Sever Tendon part of this? My suggestion would be to reduce the CD on it, lower the slow's timer, and increase it's damage to make it part of our rotation and to used kind of like a gap closer, in which we can hold the enemy in place while we DPS, or get into a different position. Also, allow Sever Tendon to apply Acid Blade. This makes sense because as an Operative, any "knife" ability could apply it. As a Scoundrel, Flechette Round can be applied by any "shotgun" ability. The mirror to Sever Tendon, Tendon Blast, uses the shotgun, so this works for both classes. Energy. This is a huge problem with our rotation, because we don't have a lot of energy builders. I suggest adding something onto Acid Blade, making crit hits with it refund energy, like Leth. Might not work, but it's a suggestion Surgical Strikes and Culling: Okay, so Culling has a built on for energy management, great, but a 4% damage increase? Same with SS? Really? This is too low to actually be worth points, but there's nothing else to take. Maybe, my suggestion with Sever Tendon could require a point or two, preferably in Tier two because of how weak SS is. I suggest either increasing the damage, or adding something to SS to make it more viable. Corrosive Dart: This seems like a fairly important ability, even as Concealment, because we need dots to use laceration effectively. Maybe have a point reduce it costs, or make it more effective, like when it's active on the target, you deal more damage with x and y or whatever. Those are my suggestions, feel free to leave any advice, and HOPEFULLY, Bioware will check this out and use this accordingly. Thanks.
  6. Same here. I lose a lot of my cover abilities, like snap shot and BD when I "Take Cover". Usually I use In Place, but I noticed this bug when I rolled into cover.
  7. Do I have to pay? I could probably get a team up, but you know... 90k...
  8. 1. Easy kill, sometimes left for last, but when left untouched, a deadly foe. 2. Been trying all the specs, and Engineer feels nice. I have to commend you for all three specs. First class I've played that I've really considered going down each. I hate playing ranged classes, especially immobile ones, but I love sniper. A few suggestions would be a cloak of some kind, like the Marauder's stealth, or maybe make cover passively camo or see through? It's annoying to have a bright red shield. If neither of those, give snipers someway to escape or hide themselves better. We are like a ranged stealth class. We HAVE to be kept alone, or we're cooked. I love that, I think it makes the game more enjoyable, trying to find a secret location to obliterate from, but we need something to conceal ourselves better for PvP. Also, give us a heal-over-time attached or something, even a light one, or on a long CD, just something we can use if we're getting focused down.
  9. Yeah, really got to burn those UH, since we can only have two stacks at a time. I think using BackBlast+Flechette after the Shoot First+ Flechette is the best you can do. Nice burst, and you want to use Back Blast ASAP, as it has a long CD, so getting it off early will have the timer ticking as you finish your opener.
  10. ^ He just schooled you, Moon. Also, I agree with the fact that Operative, or in my case, Scoundrel's playstyle is the only reason I LOVE playing it. It's terrible, but it's fun. Sure, I love those super high crits with Railshot, or those deathly ravages, but I even with this **** damage, I love the class. I don't think I've ever 50 a character as fast as my Scoundrel.
  11. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc/#701bfc0zZGMrzdzZhrbkd.2 Try this. Pretty much, you've got the HoT, so she can just throw that on whenever, Sucker Punch when she feels so, and the easy DoTs from DF. Really, if she is just spamming Charged Burst, get her to re-roll Gunslinger. If you like this build, go for it. If she still wants to play as a Scound, focus on one tree, but NOT Dirty Fighting. Scrapper and Underworld are easier to handle, as the DoTs and speed of the player is HUGE for DF. Healer is fairly complicated as a Scound. Really, you can't go wrong with a Scrapper/Healer hybrid. Try to stay out of active skills, and get the passive ones so she doesn't have to worry about them.
  12. The KO is great for PvP, but I haven't really tried it in PvE yet. Just figured so. As you said, changing between PvE and PvP all the time would be crazy, so I can see why that stealth increase is worth taking. Thanks for the fast response!
  13. I have to say, Scoundrel's abilities have given me the most fun out of any class. Sure, you can chuck your lightsaber 30 meters and choke him in the air, but son, I can blast your face onto the pavement, then trololol as you cry about stun locks. Although, I miss the laugh when UH procs.
  14. Just recently on my Scound, the delay is so slight, compared to the old Force Smash, or some of the other abilities. Even Overhead Slash has a slight delay. If it's a problem for you, I wish you the best of luck to solve it.
  15. I mean the talent that increases Stealth DETECTION, not stealth rating. I believe its called Shifty-Eyed. There is a defense buff to it, but the knock-down is probably more effective, which can be used on 90% of things in the game, besides bosses and turrets and such. Or you could throw those 2 points into something else from DF or UH
  16. The change has made the class a little more effective, but, yes, we need a buff. Nothing big, but I've suggest that the Sawed-Off talent be used to reduce the CD of Back Blast, as 4% is hardly worth the talent.
  17. 1. Extremely dangerous while in stealth, and should avoided 1v1. Easily taken 2v1 when ready. Out of stealth easy kill. 2. Low sustained, high burst. Even with this buff, the class is still wanky. Needs a buff to UH, whether easier to get, or Sucker punch deals more damage. Hard to manage energy after burst is done. Sawed-off needs a big buff. 4% damage is nothing. Maybe make it 10%+, or revamp it to reduce CD time of Back Blast
  18. Why no knockdown with Shoot first? I'd personally get rid of the stealth detection for PvE, and replace with the knockdown.
  19. As a mara, payback will be helpful due to lack of survivability, and its 10% every 2minutes, which is pretty nice to have. Interceptor is a must, I would say. Many times, when you use Obliterate, you'll be knockedback, or they will speed ahead, or something, so what I do, is obliterate, run forward a bit, and smash, so they can't escape it. Never gotten Strangulate as I don't have a problem getting pushed back on a stun... http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc/#100bcZZhrRrzfRrfz.2 is what I use. Feel free to use the last points for your choice, but I find what I've done to be effective. Good luck
  20. Level 35 PT. I PvP a ton when not RPing. Can you explain to me how infrared sensors is better than rapid venting? I use vent heat all the time when off CD, and infrared sensors doesn't look very promising. Anyways, loving the spec/class. My buddy, who's a merc Pyro, teams with me and we ROFLstomp everyone. Cheers
  21. He's...annoying. Thats all. But compared to Kaliyo, who's always like "Crippes!" He's pretty cool. But he'll be bantha fodder once I've got ma wook.
