  1. I've had this issue several times and not only on Voss. So unless I misunderstood you guys, here's what happens : the "you can search" when you cross a line can sometimes get borked when you make a turn (especially on Voss when you come down the path) and re-enter the "you can't dig" by crossing the line again in quick succession. It's a toggle really, so what you need to do is go inside the zone, then come out of it from somewhere else and go farther than the "line", and then re-enter it. Hopefully it makes sense and hopefully it is what happens. Otherwise there is this another asinine mechanic (but I don't think it's related) that makes a previous tool in your hotbar not work anymore and you need to drag the new tool from the middle (quest) inventory bag back to your hotbar. (aka you can't dig on Voss with the Taris/Tatooine/Hoth/Corellia seeker on your hotbar and have to replace with the Alderaan/Balmorra/Voss seeker)
  2. I hear you... That's the problem... The thing is, and it's not meant as a criticism, am just observing, that PvP players should go out more and do those stuff more. Am certain the way the GSI gathering are done/organized is *also* with open PvP in mind. It always felt that way for me.
  3. I'm guessing you're a PvP server, like I am. This is not meant as a joke or something ironic, but am being really serious here : Have you tried completing a star forager or dreadseed armour set, or one of those new GSI speeders ?
  4. No we're not going to quibble, just agree to disagree !
  5. You'd be surprised ! Am probably the first and only player to play as a Cathar on live already : Here's my Cathar sniper. Enjoy !
  6. Oh but you're absolutely right ! (keyword : "considered")
  7. Of course not, you certainly didn't get Makeb for free...
  8. I will add to this by saying that a piece of gear is made of many more constituants, some of which are : - The mesh (actual shape) - The pattern on the texture (if it has a logo, amongst other things) - The colour scheme (several colour channels, 2 will be dyable) - The specular map (what makes light speks and shyniness, so to speak) - The environmental map (changes with settings, aka planets, interiors, etc... and provides the reflective setting : droids / triumvirat armor, etc...) - They also have a really nice map for lighted parts (all those buttons and lights on some armours that will still appear as lit in very dark places whereas the rest of the armour is totally darkened)
  9. Hmmm no ! Actually SWTOR armored jedi look stems from TCW (Filoni's) which is one of the highest canon, just slightly below the non-CGI movies. It is actually one of the less EUish thing in SWTOR. Don't get me wrong I too would love to be able to wear "classic" robes but the "bashing" of SWTOR armour design is sometimes unwarranted.
  10. Of course, but as long as there are people defending the allowance as being the reason why more and more content require CC then all you'll have left is using CC for about everything. But they're slowly ramping it up so as to make people accustom to it and in a near future everyone will find it "normal"... Everytime they test the waters and people don't complain too much, then they test further... Plus they have the support of people religiously manipulating disinformation and semantics in a hip, cool looking way... I'm really thinking more and more that one day i'll loose my ability to post in these forums, but of course am not saying why... That said, and am saying this gently, you're also part of the problem Alec. Everytime you say something in the line of "this gear comes from the cartel market and is bugged so must be fixed in priority because it costs real money". I've seen you say those things here and there, and everytime am "rolling eyes". Do you really think all the content that isn't part of the CM we're not paying for with real money ? That's called a sub you know that ?
  11. Well I listened to the video and didn't see/hear where he'd say we'd have to pay to recolour armour ? Anyway it's going to cost credits for sure no ? Or are you meaning that for sure it's going to be real money ?
  12. You mean those new haircuts that we see on some of those Cathars in the video and that will also probably be available to the other races ?
  13. Ha so you're not a Voss ! Anyway, you really should try to play an empire toon, at least to see a few more planets very quickly : Hutta, Korriban and Dromund Kaas. You'll end up liking some of the stories for sure. Besides you can totally play light side and some of the quest decisions are kind of like you're betraying the empire, or at least your boss : it's really fun. Saying this just in case you're used to be on the "good" side and don't want to play an "evil" character. Not going to tell more so I don't spoil anything, but you should definitely give it a try.
  14. Maybe those 2 sentences are not linked (and thus you talk like a Voss !), but in case they are : The troublemaker set is nothing new : it's a generic lvl 30-45 Agent gear. The only thing that is new is that it makes it available to republic, and to sith inquisitors. Anyway since you liked it here are other colour schemes for that model-shape : - Scorpion - Dread Scout - Cademimu Sharpshooter - Fortified Lacquerous - Electromesh Battle And there are others... You can also check on the imperial fleet, I think it's the Correlia equipment vendor that has similar chests but with various colour schemes as well.
  15. So Aric will be romanceable ? And if it's the case we receive a nekarr kitten pet in the mail after the fade-to-black and the purr noises that ensue ?
  16. Well a recolour on a chestpiece is actually much more valuable. Especially if it's a colour tone that doesn't exist yet. Sometimes when you mix and match various unlikely equipment, and by unlikely I mean that it doesn't seem it will produce something nice, then you can get very nicely surprised and come up with very interresting and original gear combos.
  17. I don't have that indoor either, but outdoor it happens on some planets since a few patches for me, can't recall exactly when it started happening a little bit too much but really while it has always done so a bit outdoor, with mountains in the distance popping rocks here and there : especially Balmorra and Alderaan. Some zones are just less optimized than others, for example, apart from the grass bubble i never get this problem on Belsavis or Taris, which seem to have lots and lots of models around, but on the 2 planets above it always has been ridiculous : pop ! pop pop ! pop ! On Makeb the imperial start hub (loading ring) is probably the worst : this is *the* area of the game where my fps drops the most, though there is no stuff that does pop pop pop around. Also one thing to note is the fact you can see the macrobinocular targets from sometimes like 2 zones away floating in the air (and that's without using the macrobinoculars) and then when you get closer to them suddenly a mountain will appear and block the view. So in the end, am not sure it's draw distance, am not sure it's a RAM problem like someone said earlier. It just is odd really, because sometimes it's things that are far that pop in and out, which would make sense, but sometimes it's things quite close and you can see other things waaaaaayyyy behind. (i5-2500k / GTX560ti / 8gig Ram / Win7 64b/ all settings to max)
  18. And what did you just do right there ?
  19. I've been able to train up to 450 with the fleet trainer. I'm guessing it's due to the UI getting borked when you sometimes collapse menus, it happens very often both on your schematic list or at the vendor list. Do try ctrl-U twice to reset the UI. Also make sure to sort by rating or lvl in your schematic list to see if there's really nothing that lits up at least as green (1 pt skillup) on the left column. Am sorry I don't remember exactly how I levelled but it may have been with stims or medpacks around 410 but am not sure, may have been with implants.
  20. Still so funny how you feel the need to justify yourself... Righteously... For someone claiming to have fun... This is getting more and more ironic, ha ha ha...
  21. That statement is true because we're not demanding that you stop commenting, we're just pointing the "pot meet kettle" or "look who's talking" at some of you guys. So who's blowing smoke ? Besides : People that are *genuinely* "having fun watching" don't intervene. Only someone who'd want to be able to complain without being called on complaining would say : "oh but no, am not complaining, of course am just having fun". It's always the others...
  22. Oh yes I remember you, you were the one that thought that "clearly they..." and got contradicted by a BW post like a few hours later... How ironic... Clearly... Oh and, hmmm... What he said :
  23. I already know all that. And that too... Thus ?
