  1. Why the **** would anyone expect great PvP? Bioware have been touting this as a story based MMO, hardly ANY focus was placed on PvP aside from a few oh look we have a bit. If people flocked to swtor expecting it to have indepth PvP content they had their heads in the freaking sand.
  2. Games have bugs. They get fixed. Yes they could have held off but the thing is an MMO constantly develops, bugs come and go with every build, at some point it has to be released. You are ahead of the curve, majority of the player base is in 20-40 bracket at the moment, bioware has a bit of breathing room until the majority hits these places. Does it suck to be part of the fast leveling crowed? Probably but there is little point to whining about it, just report the bugs and move on, do something else, experience a different story etc.
  3. FOTM for this will last up until 50 when people start rocking some good gear and suddenly you are getting wasted because people have enough health to live through your burst and you have nothing to follow up with. Also FotM rollers make me sick
  4. At least EU has the game the whole Oceanic region doesn't "offically" get it until some time in/after March.
  5. Seriously people are idiots. Yes it is bad that there are bugs, but ranting out about them generally gets you ignored/flames/trivialized, post a clear and concise list of the actual issues, discuss it calmly the less you act like a little kid the better your feedback will be recieved. All launch MMOs have bugs, it is damn nigh impossible not to have bugs in such huge game worlds, fix one thing and another breaks etc. Most MMOs end game content is rarely ready to go on launch counting on the leveling process to give them some breathing room, they cannot and will not base content off the 10% (made up number are fun) who play for 5+ hours a day everyday it will be around the majority of the player base who won't hit 50 in the first month. Also yes it is 100% fair to compare each new release MMOs to the previous release state of other MMOs. People seem to forget that the game isn't competing with how long the game has been out but also that games dev time. WoW has been out for 7 years, was announced in 2001 and released in 2004 that is 3 years of development confirmed and probably a couple more done before the announcement. Are you really saying that any modern MMO released needs to be able to compete with 10+ years of development and polish right of the bat, if you are you may need to re think that stance.
  6. Well I read your post and this is what I see. 1. Bug report but you are more angry that you aren't getting usable loot, yes it is annoying but hardley worth a rant. 2. You don't have a clue, the abilities work the same as the mirror class but with different animations/names eg Imperial Agents debilitate is mirrored by the Smugglers Dirty Kick, IA is a melee move that stabs the target with an electric vibro blade, the smugglers is a kick to the nut sack, both same duration CC obtained at same level with the same cooldown. 3. Why do you need a reward beyond the joy of taking down an enemy and making a name for yourself? This is one of the aspects that has degraded over the past 7 years of MMOs the need for some sort of visible reward to be attached to everything we do or its just not worth doing.
  7. Honeymoon period is only over for the people who powered through too 50 in 3-4 days, which isn't a surprise a lot of modern MMOs encourage us to skim early content in order to get to end game content. Swtor bucks this trend a bit by trying to engage us from the begining, this obviously isn't to everyones tastes but for me I am having a lot of fun just taking my time for a change instead of the rush rush rush feeling I get in WoW/Rift etc
  8. The one you find most fun. All 3 specs are viable for leveling in so it really is up to your preferred playstyle. Concealment is all about stealth and stabbing Medic is kinda obvious you loose some dps gain some survivability (best spec imo for soloing harder missions) Leathality is about CC and dots. Pick your posion.
  9. Not many people hating on LFG just LFD. People don't want something where you press a button the game automagically matches you up with total strangers who are normally all from different servers that you will never see or talk too again, who you will barely speak with during the run.
  10. 1. Dunno about choppy FPS in warzones, never had a problem myself 2. While some customizability for camera controls would be nice just adapt to it, everyone is in the same boat it is not game breaking 3. Huttball can be played vs your own faction so if it is coming up a lot it basically means queue imbalances for PvP, so you can't blame it on bioware that not enough people on the opposing faction aren't queuing up for PvP. It is either huttball or wait for a queue pop for 30+ minutes.
  11. Wait you bought a Super Star Destroyer for just that much ! Bargin !
  12. Some of the problem comes from Op healers actually require some setup time to be effective, his is a large detriment in PvP. Kolto probe is a HUGE amount of healing but we need it double stacked and ticking before combat as wasting 2 GCDS on getting KP setup will often end up wih your buddy dead . Take into account surgical probe requires tactical advantage to use means we won't have any unless KP is ticking in or we pre stacked with kolto injection. So if we get caught without the prep work we fall far behind compared to the other healers. If we want a steady income of TA we also need to be maintaining a single KP on 2-3 different targets as standing still for the time used to fire off KI in order to get a TA leaves you vulnerable. I personally love my agent but healing in PvP does make me feel a bit gimpy.
  13. We aren't helpless at range if someone is trying to kite we have dart, frag gren and rifle shot quick roll into cover to pop out an explosive drione. If we are in 10 sever tendon to help close the gap other wise we just add in OP Shot
  14. 1. Not needed, a good player will work out his "optimal rotation" regardless of dps meters being in or not. 2. Not needed, but would be nice to have moveable UI elements. 3. Not needed, would be nice to have but need... really? 4. Different game you need to give it time to become used to the feel of it, besides a couple of bugs I haven't felt clucnky playing yet 5. Actually agree with you on this ToT is very handy to have and I was surprised it wasn't in there.
  15. I have reached for the normal quick save button so often it's embarressing.
  16. Loving my class quest Adoring the fully voiced quests Enjoyed all the flash points so far Huttball is at the same time the most awesome and frustrating PvP zone ever The rail shooter mini game is officially my favorite time waster in an MMO ever. Yes there are some niggles like lack of ui tweaking (movable bars ui scaling etc) but nothing that has prevent enjoying every second of the game. If I get stuck in a queue I go watch some anime or even something constructive like doing my washing (longest wait so far 40 mins). Best moment, being invited into a group and one of the guys going "Oh cool its Sang he's a good healer" I honestly haven't had a moment like that in WoW since the RDF was implemented.
  17. woah fast moving forums bump for great justice !
  18. I have been doing some pvp as a healer and have noticed what appear to be a fairly major glitch with the operation frames. The health bars do not seem to be updating properly at all in the op frame. I have moused over a player with 50% health and their bar on the frame shows full health. This is making it intensely hard to heal effectively. Anyone else having similar issues.
  19. As a healer I have come up with a simple solution. If you act like a moron breaking CCs by spamming AoEs or agroing something the tank isn't actually attacking you don't get healed. People calm down a lot after that allowing me to focus on healing the tank and adding some dps on fights to help them go faster
  20. No If you really want to get married in game nothing stopping you organising it with friends but there wouldn't be any visual indication.
