  1. It is this cry baby crap that ruins games. Developers will listen to a bunch of insta gratification and ruin it for the rest of us. I like to work at games, not have everything handed to me. I like to have gear I earned and lucked out on in winning. If this makes you quit the game, go back to WoW and I got pacifier for you too.
  2. OP you are smoking some crack. I am a combat medic and I can tell you, we go down quite easily by a skilled team. We might be able to keep ourselves up for awhile, but meanwhile that is all we are doing. Eventually your buddies will jump on us and that is the end of this. PvP is balanced. Healers heal ectr so forth. DPS do dps. Tanks tank. No class is superior than the other in this aspect, just have to know your place in battle. Ive played against TONS of teams that have taken me down quite easily and I always wear the best armor and have the heal tree speced out. I have been taken down MANY times by a single Maurader beating the hell out of me. Its not hard kiddo, just gotta to think about it. You ever tried to heal yourself as a sniper pings you in the head ? PLEASE get a clue.
  3. Level 50s are not that overly powerful. Last night played several WZ where they had level 50s and our highest was 34, I am 29 myself. Through good healing, teamwork and focus we mange to beat several Imperial groups with 50's in it. Being level 50 should have some benefit or why be 50 ? Cross server WZ are a joke since it breaks up a community. I like being able to not group with the people that act up on WZ, some pay back and accountability for bad behavior. If you dont like how PvP just stay out of the zones til 50. I personally enjoy a challenge, this is why I play games. If you want to do well with WZ, make sure your gear is almost the same level you are, it makes a big difference. Know you place in battle and stick together in groups. It is not hard guys, you are making a mountain of a mole hill. PvP WZ are not about who can kill the other guy the quickest, its about accomplishing the objectives. I have seen many of a team get too focused on killing each other only to fall prey to being beat in the WZ. I think PvP is good as it is. It is balanced. There are benefits with spending you time gear wise in PvP, I like this. I have spent level 11-29 just pretty much in WZ. Most my xp has come from the WZs. If you dont know, thats alot of hours in PvP. I tested this over and over and over and over and over....It is balanced, it is fair. I am a commando, I outheal most the higher levels because I focus on doing this. I know how to mitigate my dmg, not get too close up front and run when I need to. I am not going to say I win games for my team, but I do certainly help. PvP is balanced, test it yourself. 50s should be rewarded for being 50, lets not try to trivilize something because your getting pounded from lack of intelligence or skill. V/R
  4. Bad idea since this would trivilize classes and only give 4. You earned your 50 gunslinger, but you have not earned 50 levels as a scoudrel, which is quite a diffrent class. NO NO NO NO NO. Horrid idea.
  5. Greetings all, As in any mmo you will always see nerf this class or that class due to various reasons. I am just here to applaud bio-ware for creating a PvP experience that is as close to balanced as I have ever seen. Here are some obvservations I have made. Some are under the impression the Inquisitor is an overpowered class. That is quite the contrary tho since they are squishy and go down easily if you focus fire with your PvP group. Try it some time, even the level 50 ones go down quite easily with a few stuns ectr so forth. Some think the BH is very overpowered. Again this is a misconception. I play a combat medic and I know I am no match for a dps speced BH. How do I overcome him without screaming nerf ? I get buddies and we hobble his rear to the ground destroying him. Again BH is not even close to being overpowered, great class, but you can take down quite easily if you get a plan. These are the two classes that are screamed at constantly for a nerf, but yet I find opposing them all the time to be quite enjoyable. Now the last few days I have been teamed up with a level 50 Vanguard and I am in my 20's combat medic. Let me tell you what, we have literally helped our team win about every game. We lost one hut ball, but ok things do happen =) All I do is followed behind him for in a distance, let him engage, then start healing him as they focus their attacks on him. I throw in stuns ectr when I can and we have literally dominated almost every scenerio through TEAMWORK. Thats right, with all the screams on nerfs, how about people use their little noggin like we did and take down those pesky classes. My biggest complaint is not from the classes, its from the player base. Alot players want a I WIN button and when its not there, scream for nerfs. You cant have it all. If you want to be industructable, then dmg wont be great. If you want tons of dmg, mitigation wont be great. If you want to be great at healing, then dmg and possible mitigation wont be great. It is all in how you want to play. I decided that I enjoy being a support player who helps their team to victory through great support. Anyhow just a few thoughts. As stated long time ago, I thought this game would stink and am very thrilled it came out so well. There are minor tweaks that can always happen, (some cc abilities in PvP last a bit long IMO), but other than that it is great. Keep up the good work bio-ware and see the rest of you in game. V/R
  6. Title says it all. I was not impressed at all with the game from the outside appearance, but I was really surpised how much fun the story telling aspect was. There are minor tweaks that are needed, but I find the game very enjoyable. It didn't reinvent the wheel but it certainly put chrome tires on it. I see lots of negativity, which is fine opinions are like....well you know. For the record I am not a fanboioioioiooioioioi and never have been of this game, but it is da mn good =-)
  7. Game is pretty good as is. Minor tweaks, but overall its alot better than most out there. I still feel eve online is superior, but I enjoy the little nano crap tho. Great game and bio-ware sure suprised me.
  8. Greetings all, As a very pesimistic mmo player I had alot of doubts whether I was going to buy this product or not. Abysmal mmo after mmo has left a rather sour taste in my mouth, especially how the industry is putting out crap after crap. I tried this game out because it was a bio-ware product. Long story short, great game. I am very suprised I feel this way about the game because I really wasn't even very excited to play it after reading into the game and making some assumptions of my own. Anyhow for the nuts and bolts. There is nothing new with the interface, it is similiar in almost every aspect to knights of the old republic. It is user friendly to use, although the targeting system could use some tweaking. Not bad here. Gameplay started out as fairly dull but has slowly ramped its way up to be a bit better. Nothing really new, but they did a nice job with saber blocks, stuff like that. Enemies are a bit to easy for my tastes, but hey this is a new age of mmo. So acceptable gameplay in my opinion. Story line mmo immersion. BAM there is where they certainly over did themselves. All the voice overs and cinematics add a depth to this game that you only get with a single player game. Not only that but when you are grouped it adds a new dimension to the game. I am very thrilled about this aspect of the game and it really made it feel like you were in a star wars universe. This above all, I tip my hat to bioware over. I am from the older crowd, so this was the best part of the game for me. Classes, not bad here either. They pretty much gave most classes some CC ability. Now combat is pretty fast, so CC really isn't needed a whole lot, but still a few extra seconds isn't too bad. Lots of the light saber wielders. If you need to be your own special snowflake, dont expect it, at least on the republic side where its fairly even distrubition of classes. If you want to be that snowflake, be nice and play your class well, I have already a list of friends after just a few days. PVP. It is very fun. I had a great time as a combat medic commando. BLAZE BLAZE BLAZE. I am sure it will get old after awhile , but so far really fun. On a side-note I think its ok to respec, but dont allow players to become a level 50 vanguard after being a level 50 commando, just dont seem right to me. Just my two cents. Overall: If you are on the fence wondering if its a quality game to buy, it is. I know my review doesn't exactly do cartwheels over the game, but it is a very solid game which is extremly fun. Not only that, but I really felt like I was in a star wars universe for once. I love the story lines and the joininig up on quests really added something that has been missing from mmos for a long time. Bio-ware definatly has my buck for now, hopefully they can stay true to their product instead of caving in to the constant ************ and whining which is the norm of the new generation of mmo community. Great job bio-ware, I am impressed. V/R
