  1. Nope, that's not what I said. I said if you cant take people disagreeing with you then you shouldn't post. IOW, learn to post better instead of the childish drivel that you have been posting.... such as this post itself. You talk as if I am not here. If you want to address something with me then address it with me instead of posting as if its a call out.
  2. You already have that choice when you create the character.
  3. I know, its only been discussed, since the game was in beta. It probably takes atleast 2 or 3 years to write some code on it. What you got there is an opinion. I happen to find meaningful choices, in an MMO, to be fun. Who are you to tell people what is and is not fun? What was it you said? Oh yeah, stay out of other peoples business. Your opinion and nothing more then your opinion. That could be said about anything. I like permanent choices that's what. Of course there are legions of players that are inept at playing their class. There are a lot less of them when they have been playing that class for a long period time. Someone starts healing a 55 HM, after never healing before, wastes my time. Shouldn't have to spend my time, at end game, wiping over and over while someone learns to play. In the leveling game is one thing. There are baby steps in the leveling game. In the end game, there are no baby steps. I don't feel its fair to other players that are trying to gear up are now competing for gear with someone that has already geared up. I find that to be a problem. Chances are, they have already experimented in that because they have been able to for 55 levels. Again, you could say that about anything.
  4. If my position was untenable then why do you think this has not been changed? Is it possible that BW agrees with my side of it? This game was suppose to have choices and consequences for making those choices. This is one of the few things that still remains from what we use to have. I believe it makes the game better. Its only indefensible in your opinion. Its not about development time, I never said that. Don't put words in my mouth. I am also not trying to defend anything. Im just giving my opinion and trying to discuss it. It does have an effect on me if AC chage is allowed. It is removing one of the very few lasting decisions the game gives you. It would also effect me if say I was in a raid looking for certain gear and some fresh AC change, that still cant even play his class yet, swoops it up because he all of a sudden needs fresh gear. It effects me when I join a random flashpoint and there is a fresh healer, that use to be melee dps, has no clue how to heal and I waste my time for the next half hour wiping. You may think it has no negative effects and that's fine, but I believe it does have negative effects.
  5. Then we are in agreement. Not that we need to be in agreement. I wanted to discuss it further but all I get is "you must be new to MMOs" " you have been debunked" " stay out of other peoples business". Last I checked, this was a discussion forum not a topic poll.
  6. No, its not childish. I view that its healthy for the game to give people a meaningful choice. There use to be a lot more meaningful choices that vanished in beta. If you think having an opinion is childish then perhaps you are the childish one. Semantics. No actually, you are not staying out of my business. If I want to post my opinion on the matter then I will do so. You trying to tell me what to do is getting in my business. Im not telling anyone how to play the game. Im telling them how the game is played according to the current mechanics.
  7. Sure does and as I said a few times now... im voicing my opinion that I would like them to leave it the way it currently is. And I don't care that you are not opposed to AC change. I also don't care that much if its ever allowed or not. I personally like it the way it is and I am voicing my opinion. If its change then so be it. I have no control over that but I do get to say my preference. What I don't like is childish remarks...."you must be new to MMOs" "you have been debunked". That's not discussion that's a 10 year old throwing tantrum trying to get his way. When that particular poster wants to have a discussion, then I will have one.
  8. Never said it couldn't be changed.... Not once.
  9. I changed my AC at level 45 and I don't like the other AC... Why cant I switch back just this once. It isn't fair!
  10. Its completely my business. The mechanic in the game is one that I would like to see stay. I will voice that until the point it is changed. I have every right to do so and you have no right to tell me otherwise. So take your own advice and stay out of my business or argue with something better. Not in my opinion. Semantics is semantics. If you want to call it a mechanic then call it a mechanic. Of course it can be changed a PVP RULEset server can also be changed to PVP. That doesn't mean it will happen. If it does then it does.... that doesn't mean I wont give my opinion that I think it shouldn't.
  11. We aren't. Bioware is and its their game to do so. They are telling you that the choice you make is permanent. I am telling you that the choice you make is permanent and I like it that way. If you don't like it, I don't care.
  12. Im not the one stomping my feet here. Im playing within the mechanics of the game. Im voicing my opinion that I like it that way. Until you can come to terms that some people don't agree with you then you shouldn't post. Last time I checked, you started a topic and I shared my opinion on it. If you don't like that people have differing opinions then stay off the forums. I will voice my opinion however I want to.
  13. I was brand new to MMOs at one point too. You know what I did? I looked at the classes and decided that I wanted to roll a wizard because I like range DPS. Rolling a warrior would not have gotten me range dps. For my second toon, I experimented with a few different classes for a few levels and decided if I liked it or not. It is no different then doing so here. I hate to break it to you but that's a poor comparison. You are arguing for AC change. AC change will not effect the difference between Sin DPS and Sent DPS whatsoever. What you need to compare, according to your argument, is Sin tank/melee dps to Sorc heal/range dps. Sent dual wield dps vers tank or single sabre dps. That would be the comparison you are looking for. Again, if you don't know if you want to be a range or melee or heal or tank....then do what everyone else does and experiment for 10 levels. You telling people that they are new to MMOs or new to this game is getting old. You are very childish with your comments and it appears that you are the new one here. This MMO operates no different then any other MMO. You pick your class and play it. If you don't like it then you reroll. It is you that needs to do research. If you had done so then you wouldn't need to change your AC. Because most MMOs are the same thing with a different skin. This is why we can compare them. Take away light sabers and insert sword. Take away lightning and insert fireball. Its all the same thing with a different theme. If you looked at the Juggernaught tank abilities, they are almost identical to WoW War abilities. Here is a picture of side by side ability comparison to prove it.... http://i.imgur.com/UmcMV.jpg. They are so identical that they might as well be the same game. Oh wait, it pretty much is because they are both the same genre. Are you new to MMOs. Get a clue.
  14. Uh, yes it is. Its a game mechanic. You can consider it a rule.
  15. It is my business. I happen to like the fact that there is no AC change. I think its good for the game. Would I rage quit if they change it? Nope, but I will speak my mind about it. So maybe you should stay out of my business. Currently BWEA's rules are no AC changes.
  16. That should have been obvious to you before you even rolled the character.
  17. You don't in any other MMO either. If you were playing WoW or EQ2 or Lotro ...etc.... what do you do when you roll a mage and decide you want to heal instead? Oh that's right, you go reroll... you don't sit on the forums and demand to be able to change your class.
  18. Jugg... I decided that at level 45 I didn't really like tanking and I want to be a dual wielding dps class. Sorc... I decided at level 45 that I don't like range dps and heals and I would rather tank and do melee dps. BH.... I decided at level 45 I didn't want to tank/dps and I would rather heal/dps IA... I decided at level 45 that I don't like range dps and I would rather melee These are essentially the differences in class ACs. If you need to wait to lvl 45 to decide if you want to tank or heal or if you would rather melee or be ranged, then you got problems. These are the types of decisions, that you should know, before you even make your first character. In any other MMO, players know what type of class they want to play. It might be healer so they roll a cleric. It might be melee dps so they roll a rogue. It might be tank so they roll a warrior. It might be range dps so they roll a mage. These are the same choices you are making in ToR. I don't understand why it seems to be an issue here, that you feel you need to beg for a class change, but not in other MMOs.
  19. Its meant to keep you coming back to the recurring event without them having to update the rewards.
  20. Im seeing some choppy skill delay today. I chalk it up to a ton of people on Illum. I also have been crashing to desktop a couple times a day, since last weeks patch. Its like an instant disappearance of ToR.
  21. You don't have to goto a cantina. You can go right to the are where you pick up the gree quests.
  22. You are correct. Last time I checked, In SWoTR, you are not allowed to change your class either.
