  1. I don't understand how it's possible to be under levelled at that point :s I have never grouped, I hate the starship mini game, I don't pvp and I don't like warzones. Having said all that after a blip on taris being under levelled I have always started the planets mid way through the level range. I'm now on correllia and I've already hit 50 with plenty of the planet left to go. If you do all the class and world quests you will be on level, if you do the bonus series (going back to each planet) then you will be over levelled. So basically, what did you miss on earlier planets?
  2. It's not an issue for 90% of cases. It is an issue when you rolled on an English server that has been designated the unofficial XXXXX server. In the first instance you have the odd but of babble in general that you don't understand, in the second instance you struggle to find anyone who will actually speak with you in your own language. If they made server transfers freely available it wouldn't be an issue, but for people with lots of time invested on one server they have no where to go other than throw it all away and reroll or quit.
  3. Oh I know. But as this is clearly an important mechanic having to constantly back in and out of range to assure being at the right point is a bit of a cumbersome way of maintaining distance.
  4. Got it. Now all the need to do is introduce a ruler into the game so I know how far off I am and I'm sorted.
  5. Cracking. Thanks. So as a dps Jedi I want to be as close as possible to generate LESS threat?
  6. Now you are done Could you please answer my serious question I tried to ask. Could you explain for the layman what the overall effect of this actually is.
  7. Like the poster above, very interresting numbers, but what's the point?
  8. Actually this isnt so in EvE. Almost the entire economy is player driven, with only a couple of things being paid to NPCs. It does mean that the money constantly increases in the game, but this doesnt seem to have affected inflation in anyway, I suspect thats because they release new ships that are of a higher cost meaning that the base items stay the same, you just need more and more of them.
  9. You see this is utter rubbish, it really is. I have done on every planet my Class quest and the standard quests on each planet. I have also done most of the bonus series on the planets, but I have missed a couple. I am exactly the right level for each planet I go to. I havent done any space missions (Appart from grey ones) I havent done any heroics, or warzones or PVP. I am currently near the end of the quest series on corellia and I am level 49. I will probably hit cap a little bit before the end of the game, but its close enough. If you only do you class quests you will end up trying to leave your starter planet about 2 levels below, and then it will simply get worse from there on.
  10. How on earth can you claim it's 'not against the background' Seriously? We aren't talking about true civilians here, who could quite legitimately have relatives living on a planet controlled by the otherside. What we are talking about are fanatically devoted people who idiologically disagree with everything the otherside does. There is a absolutely no precedent in the books or films of a Jedi contacting a sith, or the other way around simply for a social call or to transfer their little brother some credits. I will repeat again this shouldnt apply to smugglers or bounty hunters who simply should have been tied to a side in the first place.
  11. Its not trolling, it's just explaining the way the game is designed. I can't fathom why they are bind on pick up, or why they cannot be gotten in the usual crafting method (crew skills) but its not the way the game is designed so we have to live with it. Your point of view seems to be 'I want it my way and I'm not going to be happy until I get it.' to which the answer can only be, no, that's not how the game works.
  12. Well still on the subject of shovels. I have a type 1 female body jedi knight. On one quest I have found some bodies and I feel it necessary to bury them (I come across and create 100s of bodies all the time, but never feel it necessary to bury any of them!) Anyhow, I click on the body to be buried and, PING! out of my characters backside is produced a shovel. This shovel is square headed and so large that my jedi would be required to use the force in order to lift it, let alone lift it with soil in it. Its the same size as a JCBs small shovel!. And then I proceed to replace it into my backside. A shovel thats almost as tall as me, and actually wider than my character! I could almost accept it if I had a shovel in my mission items, but I dont, which means I have been carrying it all the time!. And then I jumped onto my speeder which I pulled out of....
  13. someone has already given that exact response to that exact post. I'll say it again. The legacy system does not do anything of the sort. It allows our characters to be linked in many ways (apparently) this does NOT mean that the sith lord whoes brother is a jedi master are best buddies who meet up for drinks on a Wednesday night!
  14. Whats the crafting daily? I can't find any info on that.
  15. I've only noticed this twice. Both times I was rapidly buying crafting skills from the trainer and it kept telling me I'd already bought it because it was too slow. I've never seen it in combat. Does this mean I've got perfect timing on my combat abilities (doubtful) It's really not that obvious (likely) Some people are really really sensitive to little tiny things (very likely)
  16. Sorry? We can communicate with the enemy how? We can talk to them face to face and enemy npcs can call us to gloat plot points at us. We cannot send items to the enemy, we cannot remotely contact the enemy, in fact we cannot communicate with the enemy in any way accept while in punching distance or occasionally while we have the plot fed to us via holo for dramatic purposes.
  17. For goodness sake please read my posts. I have said since the game launched having smugglers and bounty hunters fixed to a faction doesn't make any sense. I AGREE WITH YOU. They should be able to mail or work with whoever the hell they want. I know they CAN'T but I keep saying they specifically should be able to. The other 6 classes are entirely valid for not being able to communicate. You didn't get yoda sending messages to Darth sideous (yes I know he met him all the time but he didn't know that.) Luke didn't send emails to vader wishing him happy birthday. The allied soldiers didn't send telegrams to the German soldiers in ww2 either for that matter.
  18. Ok well the middle point entirely missed the fact that I said it shouldnt apply to smugglers or bounty hunters... Are you just arguing for the sake of it? As for the rest of your points - all of that interaction took place in person. You didnt send them informative pamphets explaining to them the error of their ways, you did it while you were with them. You then got mail from them afterwards.
  19. 1) Yes, I agree, gloating and whining isnt conspiring - the OP is asking why he cant send his alt stuff. That would be conspiring. 2) Your spoiler is invalid because both of those people are no longer part of the enemy faction. 3) In the professions that we are in (imperial agents, jedi, sith, troopers) you better believe they will hate each other! 4) I didnt include bounty hunters and smugglers in that list because I have always said they should have been part of the 'neutral' faction to start with, so there is no valid reasoning for it.
  20. Erm. Sorry, cant you see the difference? You get holos from the enemy while they are gloating, or whining, or trying to bribe you or all manner of things. You dont get nice little packages from the enemy with a bow around and some guardian hilts and crafting mats!
  21. How? How does that break immersion? If you want to think about it that way having more than 1 character should break your immersion!
  22. If someone pays it, they are mad... However its unlikely that it will be bought for that much, people are just trying their luck. And if it is bought for that much, well, buying a few mats for 250K each isnt an issue because you will make 10x as much in profit.
  23. Does it really? Have you seen any patch notes that I haven't. No where I have seen says that legacy allows you to send mails cross faction. As for being 'related' to someone in the other faction, well the starwars eu is full of examples of people having relatives on the other side, and they didn't go around leaving food parcels for each other! I can just imagine Luke sending his 'daddy' a fathers day card with a present in it...
