  1. Quite well put. BioWare has the power to make addons optional and to make not having them completely as viable as having them. That being the case, there is no rational reason to categorically oppose them.
  2. Added the sell junk idea. The other post has a lot of stuff I've already got in the list and a lot that really should be an argument for addon support. If you'd like, I can go through it and add the ideas that aren't in my list but would apply to the default UI. I didn't want to just take the liberty of picking and choosing.
  3. Added the first two. Unfortunately, there are no floating unit name plates at the UI layer. Those seem to be implemented in the 3d world.
  4. Added filter by slot. I've yet to examine items with set bonuses. Do the set bonuses not show in tooltips? I definitely agree about a refund window, but that's not really a UI issue. Added shift-click to bulk purchase (which I think would solve your rapid clicking problem)
  5. It seems to only work on the person's name when they send you a whisper. If you send one to them it doesn't let you right click. There should be a context menu available any time the player's name appears (except when it's part of a message typed by a player). Added.
  6. added quick bar icon color coding for ability availability and a pulse or flash to indicate an unavailable ability has become available.
  7. The old cooldown system wasn't quite right either. What's needed is multiple color indicators: Ready: normal, full color icon Cooldown: dimmed, full color icon Lack resources: blue monochrome icon out of range: red monochrome icon The problem as I see it with the current system is when an ability with a long cooldown is nearly ready again (only a few seconds remaining) it's very difficult to see that the ability is not ready yet.
  8. BioWare please move this thread to the suggestions forum.
  9. I thought they were supposed to have been implemented already.
  10. Yes, please. Addons. Honestly I don't care if I never play WoW again, but I'd give anything to have its UI and addons here.
  11. Will GMs impose name changes on jedi characters named "Bates" or "Baytze" or the various other phonetic spellings? Frankly I would hope so.
  12. I have two. Scoundrel named Collier (because he looks like Billy Campbell's character on The 4400) and Gunslinger named Racket (just because)
  13. Wow that's a lot. I think a lot of that makes a very strong case for addon support, but doesn't really make sense as a default UI. Especially the items that talk about custom backgrounds and borders. Some other bits, such as the camera ideas, are perhaps user interface in strict terms but not really what I'm trying to compile here. As I said, you've got some great ideas for the default UI, such as hotkeys to show/hide UI objects. I'll pick some and add here (and attribute them of course) and when the suggestions forum goes live next week, I'd suggest making a separate thread for things like your no-UI mode and customizable camera behavior ideas.
  14. I'm betting the mission tracking thing is a bug. Just make sure you report it in game. The LFG tool, I'm reluctant to put it here because I don't want the thread to derail. There are many debate threads about whether and how it should be done.
  15. That won't happen on a weekend. When the Suggestions forum goes live next week I'll ask that this get moved over.
  16. Lots of good stuff there, Ronamo. I added and attributed. I didn't even know there WAS an FPS meter. Nor did I know how to split stacks. That's how intuitive it currently isn't.
  17. LOL I envisioned the same thing. The commander on the ship picks himself up off the floor after being force-choked by a sith lord and orders a squad of troops to grab blaster rifles and report to an airlock. But no, I've never been able to blow up anything other than just destroying the little targets on ships and stations. I enjoyed destroying the hard targets with missiles just for the challenge even when doing so on the stations caused the game to crash. But there was never a cascading, catastrophic explosion that destroys the whole thing. It's sort of a let down.
  18. Yeah. Give use more to do in them imo. More optional objectives. And for crying out loud let us blow up the big ships and stations, not just little parts of them!
  19. This. The best...no...the ONLY way to keep a well running machine is to maintain it properly.
