Have yet to see a valid reason why my option to play the game I want should be ignored in favour of the way YOU want. However, again the non-LGBT community compromises and again it's offensive to entertain ANY idea that does not expound the glory of not being "normal".... Just take away all flirts for everyone. Not even a toggle. That way we can stop being offensive to everybody. Because that's what's important right?

What are these "significant" changes that are supposed to be coming to space combat? Can we ever expect to be able to fly our own ship or better still fighter sized craft?

5 minutes would almost certainly ensure your side would lose. Being a man down in a Warzone is not good. I too have lost connection at key moments but I am not so greedy that I would prefer my team to lose by saving me spot that can not be filled. Also, this would encourage grief play by teams of four... Join up, wait a few minutes for the match to get underway and starts to lose, disconnect and leave them stranded without half a team.

And that again is a perfectly reasonable expectation. I'm not saying same sex flirts are wrong... I'm saying they are wrong for ME.

Fine. Then I request an option to turn off all flirts then please. No matter the gender no flirts appear and no NPC will try to flirt with me. Explain how THAT is offensive to anybody.

Please add the toggle if you add S/S flirts. I refuse to try and explain myself anymore since every time I do it just gets blasted or removed by the uber sensitive. Needless to say those against the toggle have no real reason to try and impede someones enjoyment of the game.

Where have I said that? I have for the record concurred that they should add more content as is requested but also requested not to be included in said content. No offence but that is a valid request and I do not apologize for it.

And again I state there is other content on toggles. And even more coming with toggles and options. The sole reason you allow such options is to improve the game play experience of the player. Why would you purposely go out of your way to ruin the gameplay of a player? The answer of course is you do not.

Not at all. It is all about customizing the play experience to suit the player. Options are always a good idea if they can be implented and this one would be rather easy as options go. If my character is gay then he or she would never entertain even the thought of flirting with someone straight and vice versa. If they are bi then they can leave both options open. Really no reason NOT to provide options to players if you can.

Because you are asking for a change that others do not like. They added options for cooldowns since people did not like them I see no reason they can't do that here.

And that is a reasonable request. As long as it is about personal choice for each player then really there is no issue I think.

Excellent idea though I doubt UI customization will allow us to adjust the conversation choices that are visible. I would concur though this would solve more issues than create if they allowed it. It means no one could be upset with Bioware for "censoring" their own game if the toggle was made by a third party.

So in a nutshell : A toggle or one time choice of preferred gender romance and flirts would be something I could support. Are there any logical reasons not based on real world politics or emotions that would refute this compromise as bad?

So people advocating fro SG Flirts honestly would not be happy then if it was set as optional as were OG flirts? The only way it would be acceptable is if it was put into the game with no option to not have to see it? Really? You don't see that hypocritical at all? Complaining that you HAVE to avoid the flirts in game and then on the other had asking for MORE to be added that others may not want? Why go and try to tick people off that you wouldn't have to have issues with? The only reason I get upset is because the whole tone of this smacks of pure entitlement. Even if 10% of the player base wanted same gender flirts (which I find dubious, but I'll go with that number) then that is STILL a tiny, tiny part. Sure, help them out of course but don't force feed it to the other 90%. Again, so that my message may be perfectly clear : I may personally dislike the idea of SGRA and flirts but understand your request for them. In order to be fair and COMPROMISE instead of just being pigheaded about the whole issue I ask as a counterpoint that there be two toggles so that people may turn off the content the do not want.

I'm not going to get into what is and is not "normal". I'm not going to go into what is or is not "moral". All I am saying is that if you want content added that is great. If you expect others to LIKE or WANT that content as much as you then you are mistaken. People are upset they have to dance around the flirt options already in game why would you add more WITHOUT options to turn it off? This is a reasonable request, asking for more options. It however becomes unreasonable if you expect others to share that content if they do not want it. Again, I am ALL for creating more content for those that enjoy it AND for creating toggles so those that want to can have as much or as little exposure to it as they want.

So how about those SGRAs that you.... Nope, kidding. Don't give a damn about em. Read sig please for the question I've been asking since about.. oh a week after you announced there was going to be space in the game. You have had a year and a half to figure out the answer so just answer it please.

Also, if you guys get yet ANOTHER bone thrown to you in regards to answers about content that is for an extremely small part of the gaming population and STILL there is no word about space combat.. I will be extremely pissed off. During beta and before launch we had more threads, posts, and reads than this issue but they've said NOTHING. I get ya guys want to play the way you want, and that is cool. Just stop DEMANDING that others have to play it your way to.

I do not see how forcing players to see or experience content they do not want is beneficial to the game. Remove all political or religious context and look at this from a purely mechanical point. I have already concurred that allowing a toggle to remove flirt options you dislike is acceptable to me but now people are trying to push an agenda that goes beyond just personal play choice. YOU want SG flirt options? Great... ask for them to be on YOUR screen, don't demand they be on everyone's screen. A reasonable approach is to allow players to customize the play to their style and yes that includes allowing them to remove things they might find morally objectionable. Heck, games have been giving options to remove blood and gore for years and you never heard anyone complain but I'm sure you would hear massive complaints if it was removed or added after the fact without such a toggle. Bottom line is this: This is a game. Ask for what makes you happy but do not try to force others to like or deal with things backed by an agenda as it will only get people who might have supported you upset and against you (like me).

I do not support this feature. I do not wish to see flirt options from same sex on my screen and do not think that is overly wrong. By all means if you want an option to turn off all flirts, I can back that.

The only LFG channels for chat are user created ones. And the current LFG "tool" is so very turn of the century it's not funny.

I just wish there was a way to flag myself so others on my team could see not to pass to me. As a gunslinger I am the WORST choice to move the ball and I know it. I love helping score though by CCing or killing those trying to stop my carrier...
