Not even close. I cancelled my sub several weeks ago yet got 30 days free. Does that make sense? Not to me, and it's certainly the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. I feel real bad for those that are (or were) sticking it out and now getting a slap in the face. If I could some how give my free time away to someone that deserved it.. I would.

Pretty funny though that I as a cancelled subscriber got 30 free days but friends of mine that are currently subscribed but just are not level 50 get nothing... way to fail! Soooooooo... it makes sense that I (someone that already cancelled) should be considered more valuable as a customer than someone still playing and giving them money as of this time? Your "real world" examples do not fit what is going on here... at all.

Here's one that will blow your mind then... I already cancelled my account before this fiasco and still got an email giving me the 30 days free. So MY business which I cancelled is more important than a current player that has been faithful to them? Wow. I knew Bioware was going downhill but it looks like EA has completed the absorption of whatever was good and got rid of it already. Too bad, used to be a good company.

Seems to me you were blaming someone other than yourself. Just saying. Try not to get too upset, we all make that mistake from time to time. If you truly just wanted help and not wanted to belittle others (including me I might add) you would have simply stated : "My browser seems to default to the french version of the SWTOR website even though I do not live near a major french community here in Canada. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?" See how that is different and does not imply or state anything other than you have a problem and you would like help?

I'm Canadian, in Canada. I've logged into this site from two different provinces at two ends of the country. Never seen the french site. So it's something about your computer, most likely a setting in languages somewhere. Stop trying to find fault in others before solving the problem.

Sorry, did not see you edit your post so I'll respond to it in full now. First off, I can expect devs to respond directly as they were and still are.... to other topics. They've ignored the questions put forth on the "ask a question" threads and instead have decided things like Same Gender Romance flirts require their personal attention... My attitude is quite cordial actually. Trust me in saying if this conversation was face to face I would be smoking a cigarette while drinking my coffee and smirking when you called me whiner. The smirk however is starting to come off at this point. Try avoiding attacking me or others in this thread and just make your points from now on.

I'm just another forum poster. One that has been posting in this thread, and the threads before it for about a year and a half. So when you insult the posters in this thread with blanket statements you are insulting me as well. I do not suffer fools. I'm sorry if you've been offended by me revealing all your factual errors and the lack of politeness you presented but frankly I refuse to dance around people like you anymore on the forums or in real life. Then you have NOT been reading the threads from before launch or even the ones after launch and instead have assumed much in making your comments here. That is not the sign of an intelligent person. It is also not very smart to insult people on a forum and then try to cry foul when they smack you back into line. You have mixed an opinion with factual information here and that is what is confusing you. I have no issue that you like the tunnel really. It is your right as a person to like whatever you like. It however is not your right to belittle others with valid points and present information that is just plain wrong. Like, for example, the fact you CAN'T accept a PvP queue while riding the tunnels so using it to "kill time" would be a dumb idea. Also can't look for a group or accept a group invite while in those tunnels either. You see the weakness for PvP which is great but still don't see how it would be nearly if not completely impossible to raid in a tunnel? Even if they just made it so the other 7 people are using turrets on the ship... how amazingly boring would that be? Besides, this is just supposed to be a side distraction according to you so why would they ever expand it or allow raiding? The main difference is that those that want full control space flight are not asking to remove the rail shooter from the game. So since the rails would still be there and as "fun" as ever pro-rail people would have no reason to complain. We have been discussing this topic for quite some time now friend so it does not serve you well to assume we are just "complaining". We've made suggestions and requests for over a year and a half and have had not ONE reply to our concerns even though this has been one of (if not THE) hottest topics on the forums for over a year. I will assume you just did not know better and did not research the topic you are trying to pretend you know a lot about at this time as the only other explanation is that you are purposely being obtuse to get a rise out of us.

I know I gave up and all but this... this had to be replied to. It has no gameplay similarity to Rogue Squadron. Period. You can't raid or PvP on rails. If by "swept aside" you mean change the format to something good then I hope it IS swept aside. Taking it off rails is the ONLY way it will be better. No other change could be made to make it better. You can make it faster... you can make it have more things to shoot at... but "better" is none of those. And not only did you get the title of the game wrong (Rebel Assault was what you were looking for) but you are also factually wrong. As other posters have already shown (And better than I ever could) there are a plethora of NON rail shooters with the Star Wars IP and they have all done better than rail shooter variants. But of course it's easier to just insult those you THINK are dumber than you even when you show a complete lack of understanding of the material you are talking about.

Well I concede the fight. I have cancelled my subscription as of just right now and won't be back until some major changes like actual space combat are included in the game. This issue along with others just shows to me that Bioware just does not know how to make MMOs and should just stick to single player games.

Number one for me that WON'T happen? Full control space combat... More realistic thing? Have it so that I don't have to re-invite my guild mates after every frikken WZ....

It's sad really.... so much potential wasted on this mini game that could have been better served as a fully integrated system that didn't feel so out of place in a MMO. But what do I know... I'm just a player of that game not a developer right?

Those games don't need it since they have nothing to do with space... but of course you already knew that.

The only reason you won't see this is to prevent people from capping at 49 and staying in the lower bracket WZs forever.
