  1. Should be about the same as before. 30% Crit 70% Surge As much Power as you can get These are unbuffed, and rough guestimates. I run saboteur spec, but i'm sure it's pretty close to Sharpshooter.
  2. Leg Shot ---> Attack ---> Dirty Kick ---> Move/attack ---> Flash Grenade ---> Move/attack ---> Leg Shot ---> Repeat There is another stun if you're a saboteur, but you get the idea.
  3. When I came back to SWTOR, I put this little guide together for unlocks. http://www.constantwarfare.com/2013/02/costofreturntoswtor.html There are a bunch of guides for F2P accounts and other stuff on the site too. I add to it all the time as I learn myself.
  4. Personally, I play a gunslinger and given the chance, i'd roll it again. Amazingly fun. I'm purely a PvPer though. That said, healers are always in shorter supply than DPS or tanks in PvE and PvP. Currently Scoundrel healers are pretty darn good, if not the best. If you want to heal or stealth, go Scoundrel. If you are ok with just ranged DPS, go Gunslinger.
  5. Which tree are you using? Or if undecided, what is it you want to accomplish in a DPS role (high damge, AoE, utility, etc)?
  6. You don't lose your expansion unlock or levels. I went F2P in February, and haven't looked back yet. I subbed for the month in April for the expansion, and i've subbed again for the Starfighter expansion. Beyond that, I have stayed completely happy in Preferred status. I have even managed to accumulate a couple thousand Cartel Coins without buying any. I will tell you that getting all the unlocks will take some effort upfront running daily hubs to buy unlocks. As long as you have at least one character at level 50, the hard part is over. You may even have enough credits now to buy all the unlocks you will need (~1,000,000 credits). I've actually put together a guide for returning/dropping to preferred status. Give it a read, and feel free to ask any questions. The F2P system has really gotten worse press than it deserves. Don't be scared to unsub.
  7. Unless you used a referral link or something, all you get is the expansion and subscriber status. As far as what to do next, you should have a quest to use the holoterminal on your ship. That should send you to Makeb to start the storyline there. If you want to start from scratch, the process hasn't changed a bit. I hear the operative/agent story is pretty good if you want to level yours up. I love my smuggler at 55.
  8. E-mail support@swtor.com and tell them your problem. I had a similar problem with warzone passes and they fixed it within 24 hours. Good luck!
  9. Wait'll I get into a WZ with you on my bounty hunter. Respec'd to heals for the 50-55 march on a whim. I now have exactly 6 games worth of experience in healing. I'll show you the meaning of FEAR. Zohan is pretty nasty. Hate seeing him in a match.
  10. I am a Saboteur, but I can offer some advice still. Vital Shot ticks Internal damage. internal damage is great for getting around DR. Popping Illegal Mods should also get through some of that armor. Warzone Adrenals too. If you are behind cover, you should be sitting with your back to a wall. Our new stealth detection ability should only leave one place they can get to you - from directly behind. Randomly drop some AoE (sweeping gunfire) in that spot behind you. Other than that, there should be no sneaking up. If they do get you knocked down, use Scrambling Field and/or Hightail It away from them. You do have your CC breaker (Escape), but using that on an opening stun may or may not be a good idea. Flash Grenade and Dirty Kick are great gap makers. Perching on the edge of a Huttball catwalk, or side of an Alderaan platform - somewhere you can drop off with ease - is another great escape mechanism. Use your environment to your advantage. I've noticed Leg Shot not as effective as before too, but timing your Hightail It just right should still be effective. Make sure you're heading where they aren't facing.
  11. Same exact thing happened to me. I've also experienced a temporary 'immobilize' right after I use the ability. For example, if i'm running towards an objective and use hightail it, I will get 'stuck' for a brief second before I can continue to move forward. I especially notice this if I try and use it back to back. Anyone else? Or is my keypad playing tricks on me?
  12. I'm gonna throw in a vote for Saboteur. It's not the top damage spec, but it's certainly got a lot of usefulness in it. Mine is solely a PvP perspective, so if you PvE you may want to stick with sharpshooter. Otherwise the AoE is great for area denial and knocking multiple targets off the objective. LOVE IT. A little bit of a utility/support spec. Sort of. Still fun. I've got an old 50-point guide at my website (link in the signature). Working on a video for the 2.0 update as well, and I should have it out soon.
  13. Then i'd probably try something like this: Cunning >= Accuracy (110%) > Power/Tech Power > Alacrity > Crit > Surge Alacrity will lower your cooldowns and increase your Energy regen. That's how you're going to manage 'sustained' DPS. Power of course guarantees bigger hits every time. Crit and Surge can be added in as needed. If you find yourself with plenty of energy, you can drop Alacrity back one in the order until you find the perfect middle ground.
  14. I posted some detailed information about Professional's Gear versus Partisan Gear on my website. The short version is Professional's is less crits with more damage per hit, and Field Tech is more crits with less damage per hit. Depends on your spec and what you want. too You can always mix and match.
  15. A lot depends on your spec and playstyle. Do you want fewer big Crits and moderate damage? Or do you want frequent big crits with lower damage? Middle of the road on everything? Do you run out of energy a lot? Lots of details to fill in. If you could provide a little more information about what you want, we could give you a better answer. Also, which spec are you? Sharpshooter, Dirty Fighting, or Saboteur?
  16. The song Dazfanchi by Giovanni Veccio is definitely the theme song of Pylan Traitine, Privateer Captain!
  17. Anything before 2.0 should be fine. The current borked bolster system does skew things quite a bit for now. The last thread accepted only post 1.2 screenshots. Might wanna make mention of that in the OP at least.
  18. Top objective points for smuggler (gunslinger): 36,700
  19. I've re-subscribed for the expansion, and will be updating this build/thread again. I've been playing for about a month now, but I haven't had forum access as a Free to Play account. Once I hit 55 i'll start going through it and adjusting things. I see a lot of promise in 2.x for Saboteur Gunslingers. Keep the comments coming! Or start them again...as it were...
  20. Hey guys, I am having to stop my Star Wars subscription because of some unexpected and large bills of late. I plan to return when it goes free to play, but free players won't have forum access. I also still have a few videos for this guide to post on my website. You're welcome to come ask questions or leave comments on the main guide page itself. Again, I plan to return when Star Wars goes free to play and keep the Saboteur PvP Quick Start Guide updated. Thanks to all of you for your great feedback and responses. I hope this forum thread helped at least one person enjoy the game a little more.
  21. I've added a video for Voidstar strategy. you can also view it from the original guide page on my website. If it was useful, please toss it a like!
  22. We waited two weeks for this? And it still took them all day to finish? Edit: Also, they have stated from the beginning that subscribers will get Cartel Coins.
  23. Incendiary grenade is something i'd rather save for CC or area denial as opposed to keeping it on cooldown in a rotation. Again, my point of view purely from a PvP perspective.
