  1. Some kind of feature to request a 'price check' on items maybe? Even if it's just scrolling text, giving contributors a specific item price to enter might make it more useful. Please keep the thread updated with your progress. I'd like to see how it turns out.
  2. You're reading out of context. It didn't happen, which is the point.
  3. You keep going back to gunships. I've said twice i'm not talking about gunships. Complications happens in situations like these.
  4. You've said there's one twice now. So unless Leggo was bio-engineered at birth to fly gunships in GSF, or is taking gunship piloting enhancer pills, or has some other advantage that doesn't exist in the natural universe, then someone can replicate his success with enough time and effort. Or with one of the aforementioned options. Your missile break is irrelevant when it's on cool down. The +5 seconds we're talking about is the additional time on cool down since the nerf.
  5. If teams win 100% of the time now...and their advantage increases...wouldn't it still be 100%? Math question or trick question?
  6. It seems pretty balanced. There are a lot more premades queuing as well. It's a Pacific coast server, so it stays active into the early hours of the morning. Not sure when queues start popping, or if they even stop.
  7. I'd add Leggo to this list as well. He does just really well in his gunship in 'serious' games, and the same with his scout in 'non-serious' games. Regardless, if you know of someone that is making it work, maybe it's kind of an L2P issue for you? It's not like you can get custom gunships. Your mastered t1 has the same stats as everyone else's. If it's not worth the effort for you, that's different than not possible. This +5 seconds isn't a magical moment where a ship is held perfectly still. Enemies are free to continue to juke, boost, LoS, etc during that 5 seconds. Enemies get no easier to hit in that 5 seconds than they were in the previous 10. You could argue they run out of engine power, but I'd argue they just had 10 seconds to make it an asteroid/debris/satellite/whatever to LoS. Are you getting significantly more kills per game because of this 'Nerf'? If so, how much did it increase your kills per game? How much more often are you dying? The Nerf affects strikes engine breaks as well. You can't just claim +5 seconds on the offensive end, and not account for your own +5 seconds on the defensive.
  8. So there's no players you know of doing well/good/great with gunships anymore? No gunships outperforming you in your Flashfire on more than a sporadic basis? I agree, but I already mentioned i'm not debating the merits of the Nerf to gunships. You're focused on gunships. If all 8 enemy ships were always gunships, then I'd have to agree with you. There are usually only 2-3 gunships, leaving 5-6 other ships. A 10 second advantage on few ships, and 5 seconds on many ships, is not a huge advantage. As a gunship, that 10 seconds affects you 100% of the time. As a strike fighter, it affects me 25-33% of the time.
  9. Let's not get hasty and say 'much harder'. The gunships got their CD doubled, so that's say 3x per minute instead of 6x? Was a gunship spamming barrel roll every 10 seconds really contributing offensively? It's when gunships are left alone that they are nastiest. So IF someone engages a gunship, AND they are using missiles, AND there is no cover, AND the attacking ship can get a 3 second missile lock, AND all this happens in that 10 second window, then yes, the gunship eats it. The gunship has to survive 10 seconds longer than before. Other ships suffered less significant nerfs, making the increased chance to hit them even smaller. I'm not debating the good/bad in engine ability missile break nerfs, I'm just pointing out that it was a small buff for missile ships, not a backbreaking game changer. You can tell this by the number of people that dropped the t2 scout for the t2 strikes, and by all the players that abandoned gunships.
  10. There are people in /GSF on Harbinger. In fact, /GSF exists on every server I've been to, Sith and Republic side. Seems counterproductive to have a unique name on each server. I've asked in nearly every match on Harbinger about guilds, names, etc for GSF, and nobody seems to know anything. I just encourage them all to join /GSF.
  11. We're Republic. /cjoin GSF in game. That's the channel to find other GSFers.
  12. Lots of angst and hate going around. Let's channel our thoughts and feelings on a group activity. The scoreboard is a long held tradition for PvPers. It let's you know who did what, and, more importantly yet less clearly, who is top dog. Or does it? The GSF scoreboard organizes by kills, highest on top. Does this mean the top killer is the best player? Does the KD ratio matter more? Where do assists fit in? Will certain ship roles always float to the top? Where should each ship role look to, in order to know if they're doing it right? Should I get Mountain Dew or Mello Yello from this drink machine? My thoughts are that scouts and gunships generally do the most damage/kills. Strikes next, then bombers. I feel like the KD ratio will generally be a good metric to follow for contribution. 1:1 or better being ideal. I am not sure how to judge assists. Looking forward to hearing how others do. ...and I got Mello Yello.
  13. First off, could you have possibly fought with anymore superheroes in that screenshot?
  14. Someone please photoshop this onto the side of their gunsheep. PLEASE.
  15. I subbed a few days ago. I have #thedream of being a #rockstar in a floating house on Nar Shaddaa.
  16. I read this with the 'Real men of Genius' narration. 10/10.
  17. No plans for JC. I've been there already and transferred off. TEH is better, IMO. Come join us on Harbinger if you're looking to branch out. If you can handle being Irrelevant. /sigh
  18. "If a bomber is hard to kill, then it must be...?" It's a witch! BURN IT!
  19. This is your trouble right here. If you see a bomber set up on a satellite like this, just fly away. There are 7 - 11 other targets for you to swap to. As a scout(i'm going to guess Flashfire/Sting), it's not your job to peel bombers off a satellite. There are 7 - 11 other people on your team. Let someone with proton torpedoes, thermite torpedoes, concussion missiles, EMP missiles, or a 15k LAZOR beam deal with a bomber. Scouts enjoyed a good run pre-bombers. They still do in fact. How many bombers do you see placing over scouts in kills, damage, or any #rockstar stats? Bombers joining late was a bit of a rude awakening for some scouts because of how sudden and hard of a counter bombers are. If bombers had been around from day one, scouts wouldn't have had 'the good old days' to reminisce back to. If you can kill bombers outside of satellites already, and Bioware nerfs them so you can kill them under satellites, is that a healthy state for bombers? Bombers are not the only ships that can't dogfight. A Clarion/Imperium is not necessarily a dogfighting machine, and while I don't have much experience with it, the Spearpoint/Bloodmark probably isn't either. Not everyone can be a #rockstar. If you want everyone on your team to have 'chops', who's going to be there to heal you? Refill your ammo? EMP for you? Bombers are also nice for players that might not have the twitch-reflexes of a 20 year old. Tweaking the AI of the drones is arguable, sure. Seems to me though that Bioware is trying to incorporate something for all ages. I think that's a consideration for 'a healthy state' as well.
  20. Good interview with Njessi. 10/10, would buy again!
  21. I started using a G600 recently. You should have a G logo/icon in your system tray. That'll get you to the settings.
  22. I have builds for almost every ship (No Rycer/Starguard or Cometbreaker/Dustmaker) on my website. These are the builds we use ourselves. There are also tips, strategies, and other stuff there to help as well. When I learn something that helps me, I put it there. Link is in my signature. Mouse sensitivity is adjusted through your mouse software. Razer synapse for Razers, Logitech has its own - you generally find it in the box by your clock (The name escapes me ATM). Try setting it around 1200 and go up/down from there.
  23. If you are capped at 50, you'll want to grind daily quest hubs for credits. At level 50 you can do Ilum, Black Hole, and Belsavis. Section X too if you buy the unlock. The best value for your time is Black Hole and Ilum. You can see all the math in a guide to daily quest hubs I put together. If you want to PvP, hit Warzones. You can trade in Warzone Comms for Planetary Comms. There is no level 50 PvP gear anymore. If you want to PvE, hit Flashpoints for PvE gear. If you want to do both, hit both.
