  1. It's a mechanic in the game, and it doesn't appear to be working as intended according to my observations. I posted about it seeing that this was the case. Perhaps someone on the dev team will toss this on their to-do list beneath 20 or 30 other things on their plate and get around to it at some time. Is that OK with you, or should I double check with you first to see if it's OK to post about something that doesn't appear to be working as intended?
  2. If the game designers really thought it was a good idea for people to simply quit a game if your team isn't very good or it looks like they will just flat out lose.......... Why isn't there a concede button? I don't have to prove anything. The point is very straight forward. Nobody benefits from all these people leaving cause their team sucks, except the person who leaves. It causes many problems as I've listed above and you, nor anyone else, have provided any positive benefits to people leaving a game. They need to address this issue.
  3. Because if you don't stay in that, then I might get the que pop after you leave. You think I want to be there? You think I want to join a team which is already pathetic and losing? You think it's good to take your trashy team and throw it onto someone else, like me? You qued SOLO for a team, you got a RANDOM team. Notice how queing for a "WINNING" team isn't one of the options? Some of your teams will suck. Deal with it. I do. I'm tired of: A) People leaving on my team, making it impossible to do anything or even go out on the battlefield. B) Queing into games that are already a guaranteed loss. C) Enemy teams leaving cause they are losing, giving me less people to fight. If you are unwilling to deal with losing teams, queing solo, you shouldn't be queing at all! That's my thought on the subject.
  4. I heard a rumor people who are losing arguments try to change the subject. Just a rumor tho. Still waiting for you to answer my question above. I'm totally open, 100% listening, as to how leaving a game would benefit the PvP community as a whole. Can you list one possible benefit? Just ONE? Something that isn't selfish and doesn't benefit just you without causing problems for others? At all? I'll listen if you can think of one.
  5. Typically I am one of those people that would be an exception to the rule. Now I haven't hit 55 hit and I don't have all the skills. My opinion of the Sniper is coming from the standponit of a level 43 Sniper. Does the class immediately change and become instantly godlike from one rolling skill? if so I would say it sounds like this class has a lot of issue. My biggest issue is still that we are so defined in being stationary to do anything, yet our range is only 5m more than any other ranged attacks. People can VERY easily either walk backwards out of our range, making it stupid for us to try to drop someone from 35m cause they can just back up real fast. Or they can simply walk into us very quickly to get into their own range of 30m. It's not difficult to close a 5m gap. Which is why I said, I would imagine this class should probably get 45m range. We don't get bubbles, we don't get heals, we can't remove dots at will, evasion doesn't block so many attacks and stuns like other peoples shields.... Snipers need SOMETHING that makes their class both unique and effective. I've played 4 or 5 classes to 30-40 range and honestly I don't feel like Sniper does any more DPS vs. any of the other classes. Yet they can still heal and stealth and bubble and do all of these other fun things. I also saw on another post that Snipers only made up 6-7% of top 100 in ranked play? Well I'm beginning to understand why.
  6. It saddens me that my post here will probably get lost in this mix but I'll throw my 2 cents in on this issue. Why I think premades should never, ever, fight pugs: Let's pretend for a second I found an entire group of other players as good or better than me (not likely), lets also pretend for a second they all play at the same times as I do (even less likely), then lets pretend I am willing to put up with 'scheduled' PvP times and have to commit to them (even way less likely). Pretend all of the above is true. Also pretend I am a very good player (which is true) and so are my teamates. Now we have gone through this entire mess of rounding up a bunch of good players, who are all on at the same time. Who do I want to fight? A) A bunch of scrubs who are disorganized and are easy to beat. B) Another team of premades who think they are good, but we end up flattening them into the ground. Yep you got that right, I wanna play option B! I don't wanna fight a bunch of disorganized idiots. I don't want an easy win. I want to play the BEST! I want to beat the BEST! Onto the opposite side of this coin, the PUG: When I PUG who do I want to play: A) A bunch of very organized very good players B) Another group, which have been equally determined to be just as good as my PUG You got it right again, I want to play against option B! I don't want to get utterly destroyed simply cause the other team is coordinated and well skilled and my team is not. I want to fight an equal opponent who is just as disorganized as my PUG. I see absolutely no benefits at all whatsoever for premades to fight PUGs. The only premades who really want to fight PUGS and get easy wins, are terrible PvPers who are probably not good enough to fight a real team. Premade vs. Pug = should never happen, IMHO.
  7. I'm not saying every single time, every single person votes for the friend. But It has gotten to the point where I just don't even bother voting any more. After so many games topping dmg almost every game and never getting a single vote, I just stopped caring. Too many times I see some guy in the middle who has almost no damage, no healing, yet has 4 votes and i'm top dmg and have 0 votes, has made me just so not care about MVP any more.
  8. And if your team sucks you just quit? Making it so some other guy ques in to a losing game? Making it so the winning team has less people to play against? Make it even that much harder for your current teamates to get any kills at all? Explain to me how that is in any way beneficial to the PvP community. I'd love to hear it. You'll see in the screenshot I posted on page 4 of the thread, I did almost as much damage as the next FOUR GUYS ON MY TEAM COMBINED! I didn't cry. I didn't whine. I didn't quit. I played it out and finished the game. This is what you should be doing as well. Quitting helps nobody.
  9. People don't actually vote for the most valuable PLAYER. They just vote for their friends all day. That or they just vote for whoever healed the most, as if healing takes any real skill which it doesn't. Being on the front lines and topping dmg by 50-100% more than second place takes way more skill than sitting 60m out from the nearest enemy spamming heals. (Yes I've played healers, don't even start). So why do we even have a voting system for MVP? So many games I have had top dmg by DOUBLE the damage of second place, and I never even got a single vote. What's the point of MVP? Shouldn't this just get automated? It was a nice thought, but I don't think MVP works as it was intended.
  10. Perhaps you misread the part where I said I DO NOT leave games, KNOWING that someone else would just have to come in and deal with the trash players. Screenshot above for you how I deal with crappy players. Finish the game out. Get medals. Move on. Next game. People who plan on quitting a game if it isn't going well shouldn't even be queing in the first place. That's why my original post said you should EXPECT your team to suck when you join. Otherwise go grab a team and que with them.
  11. What is wrong with you people? I can't believe the amount of people who think leaving a game is OK. I sub too, and I don't sub so I can join games which are halfway finished and are so one sided it's a guaranteed loss. By you leaving your game you have taken your garbage and thrown it into my lawn. Everyones OK with this? It's ok to just toss your garbage onto my lawn case you don't want it any more? How about you deal with your OWN garbage? Why should I have to deal with it? I would have suggested nobody ever ques into a game once it has started, but I don't think that would fix much either. You joined SOLO, you got a RANDOM team, you're STUCK with them till the game is over. It's that simple. I don't leave teams cause they suck, knowing that someone else will end up just coming into the game and get pissed off at the crappy team. I finish the game out and grab another game afterwards. Leaving a game is bad for the winning team, bad for the next player qued, bad for the team you're currently on, in fact it's 99% negative and bad. The only person that benefits from it is YOU (the leaving player) and if the only thing you care about is yourself and nobody else, maybe you should try a single player game instead of multiplayer?   12. @BishopSMASH Naw man I don't troll post. Even though some people think I might sometimes. I honestly thought before rolling my sniper up that I for sure was going to be able to stealth. I mean he's an Agent. Maybe it is a L2P issue? Maybe I do just suck total ***? I pop entrench a LOT, and I get thrown all over and pushed off and moved around and then people leap over to me and smash my face in. I'm thinking at that time, why did I even waste the calories to move my mouse over to press entrench? When I play my sorc, I don't get these feelings. I don't feel weak and incompetent against other classes. I feel like I always have SOMETHING I can do at any given moment to either attack, CC, or escape. I don't feel that way as a sniper at all. I feel like I have to sit still, behind my bright red shield and bright green flashy lights which pretty much tell everyone where I am, to not have any real range advantage, have no real escapes, and get murdered by melee characters who instacast ranged pulls the milisecond my cover is off when I have to move out of the way of an orbital strike or some other area attack.
  13. I haven't gotten to endgame yet, but I would say the above looks very true. I've played a multitude of classes to levels 30-40. I can understand what the above is saying 100% and I agree with it. I played my Operative as DPS. But you have to constantly get into melee range to do any real damage. The skills and tools they have I don't think justify putting them into melee range. if you are going to get into melee range, play an actual Melee character like Juggernaut or Powertech. Operative would be much better played as a healer. Sniper feels rather pathetic as DPS. Sorcs do just as much dmg, and they can backup heal, and shield people, and remove dots, and nuke heavily, and have the same range as Sniper and and and and and and............. So yah. Listen to the guy above. He knows what he's talking about.
  14. Just like many others I've played snipers in many other games, and the most fun I can say I had playing one was in BF3. Headshotting ppl from 600+ yards was fantastic fun, and took quite a bit of skill to calculate bullet drop from those long ranges. So what irks me about the sniper in this game? Snipers are highly known in pretty much any game known to mankind for three things. 1) They are camouflaged and very hard to see. They blend in with their surroundings. NOT IN THIS GAME 2) They have very very very, VERY VERY VERY LONG RANGE!!! They outrange any other class by a HUGE margin. NOT IN THIS GAME 3) Headshot = kill. NOT IN THIS GAME (OK for balance issues, that doesn't really bother me but still) So yah that bothers me, a lot. Things that really bother me: 1) Our range doesn't justify our stationary requirements. The fact we have 35m range doesn't mean squat when every other ranged class has a 30m range (and some cases, 35m as well). Not to mention melee guys can LEAP 30m! LOLWUT! Range on sniper, at a bare minimum, I would have set to 45M. That's 50% further than your average ranged attack. People close that 5M gap way too fast, to the point where it doesn't even come into play 99% of the time. But honestly I'd rather see it at 60M. When I fight against snipers as my other classes, I find them a total joke. They don't really out range me and they don't really out DPS me either. They can't heal, or remove dots and they feel rather squishy. Which is much how I feel when I play my sniper. 2) No stealth. Cloaking and Combat stealth should be an Agent skill. It's something that I would imagine that DEFINES an agent. That means both Sniper and Operative cloak. (As a side note, dots should never break stealth, ever. Especially if we get stealth and can't remove dots!) 3) Evasion sucks. Each class seems to have a "OH CRAP" button. Well this one just flat out sucks. It's very misleading as it says you have 100% chance to dodge RANGED and MELEE attacks. Well in my head, all attacks are either ranged or melee! Some might be channeled, some might be physical, some might be tech, call it whatever you like............ but they all fall into the category of either being RANGED or MELEE! But no this isn't the case. So when I pop evasion I still get stunned, and thrown, and hit by tech attacks, and Sage's still nuke me etc... I feel like I literally might as well not even use this skill, in which case I've kind of stopped using it. It never helps anyways. At least I can count on my shield probe to prevent some dmg. 4) Inability to handle melee. Now granted, as a super duper ranged only class I feel we should have a weakness, especially to melee. But not so bad to the point where I literally feel helpless against them. If I get pushed out of my cover, then someone leaps to me it's like game over. I drop again to try to push them back *IMMUNE* I try to legshot *IMMUNE* I try to flashbang *IMMUNE*. Oh goody, what can I do? I can stand still and watch them kill me. Fantastic. I almost wish melee guys would just one shot me so I can respawn faster rather than having to watch them actually take the time to make 4 attacks to kill me. For how focused this game seems to be on making us a class that is so very stationary we sure don't get much range and we sure don't handle melee very well. 4) IMMUNE!!! Legshot should never miss, and nobody should ever be 'immune' to it. I swear at least half the time I use this skill nothing happens. That and almost all of my other CC. At the very least, very very very least, if someone is going to be immune to a skill..... when you try to activate that skill, it should instead NOT activate and post a message........... "TARGET IS IMMUNE". So I don't waste the cooldown. PvP goes way too fast to stop, target, look at their buffs and debuffs, find out if they are immune to anything, and then choose and decide which CC I need to use. Overall, the Sniper just doesn't feel very ......... Snipey. He feels more like just another ranged DPS that has the 'Sniper' tag on it. IMHO you should have called the class something else because this class has almost nothing to do with being a Sniper. Edit: After posting a message on another thread I think this would help my point along. Compared to a Merc or Sorc: I don't really out DPS either of the above classes, I don't really out range the above classes, yet I cannot heal, I cannot shield people, I cannot bubble up and go immune, I can't speed up and run off to LOS people and heal up, I can't remove dots at will. There are so many things I cannot do compared to the other ranged classes. So what CAN I do, that they don't do? I'm still trying to figure this one out.............
  15. Yes to all of the above. If the game isn't working as intended, then someone needs to fix it. If people are leaving cause their team just flat out sucks, they need to be punished.
