  1. I am Commander Shepard, and this is my favourite thread on these forums. If Bioware (or should i say Mythic?) gets at least half of these things right well have a real winner on our hands here.
  2. 1) Buy a mouse with multiple buttons on it (i myself own a Razer Naga). 2) Bind EVERY single one of youre abilitys to youre keyboard/mouse 3) Practice untill youre fingers bleed! 4) /profit
  3. You arent allowed to have more then 1 of those bags in youre inventory/bank. Not to mention the cap for valor points is just 1k.
  4. At least in PvE youre forced to go through elite mobs before you even get the chance to roll for youre gear (which in some cases is no small feet). In PvP you can AFK every match and still get the best possible gear set. This form of progression is the definition of ''welfare''.
  5. Actually, being a nabcake is more rewarding in SWTOR then in ANY other MMO ever made.
  6. This is the definition of ''casual friendly''. As things stand its do a few WZs, get a few bags and hope for the best. Skill, time, w/l ratio whatever else doesnt matter. Back when i played WoW people made fun of others who walked around in welfare epics, here its the only way to get any form of PvP gear.
  7. People whined about the idea of Arenas and rated BGs in SWTOR so now they based PvP progression around ''luck''. I blame casuals.
  8. With big marketing shemes come big expectations. Bioware put ALOT of time and money into convincing people SWTOR is the next big thing. Its only natural now that everybody found out its just a barebones MMO with some VO they get mad.

    World pvp?

Only way well get some nice Open-world PvP is if Bioware decides to cut back on the instancing and gives people some incentives to do it. But i doubt that will ever happen considering how Biowares take on open-world PvP is some crappy instanced zone (Ilum).

    Swtor PvP

    Level up = profit!
  11. Kinda sad to see so many of you whine on a MMOrpg forums about lvling and how it impacts balance. Isnt that the whole point of RPG? Progression? Why should such an important feature of this genre be ignored simply becouse you do not like it? Bioware gave us stat padding and you whine for brackets. Theyll give you brackets and 2 months down the road youll start whining about gear imbalances. People like you will never be pleased becouse in youre eyes its always somebody elses fault you lost.
  12. The reason why devs never bother balancing 1v1 is so they can keep people rerolling and just keep things fresh in general. You honestly think they can built a game of this size from the ground up but ''somehow'' have no idea what to do with a few abilitys?
  13. Vegeta, what does the scouter say about Empires power level?
  14. How is anybody supposed to have an open mind for the future if Bioware does nothing but throw these vague announcements at us? For example, their solution for things like no open-world pvp, class imbalances, horrible lagg in Warzones etc is more Warzones and Ilum. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=287#edit287 Its like trying to cure cancer by smoking more cigarettes.
  15. They would be packed if Bioware cut back on the instancing.
  16. The title says it all. As things stand........ - The community has been devided through instancing to the point that every zone is empty which has killed off open-world pvp and just social interaction in general (it also defeats the whole purpose of even having a monthly Sub, last game that did things this way was Guild Wars which was FREEEE to play) - Pre-mades are prohibited (youre actually forced to exploit just so you can play with friends in this so called ''MMO'') - Everything is handed out for free (no standing/level/rating whatever requirements for anything) - No rewards for playing for the objective in BGs (just score in Huttball a few times or plant some charges in Voidstar and see for yourself how ''generous'' youre rewards are compared to the guy whos just ganking people. - No rated bgs/arenas (even competing for a simple leaderboard spot would do) - No incentives to do any open-world headbashing (afcourse you would have to cut back on the instancing first otherwise its pointless) - Ranged classes constantly shooting through walls and objects. - Ubearable GCDs that take ages with pointless animations that youre forced to watch (A 4 sec stun on my 43 JShadow means i can land 1hit on a guy before hes free) Im sure more can be added to this list. To cut things short, on top of some simple imbalances theres nothing to strive or compete for as a PVPer in TOR. I would even go as far as to say that Bioware is trying to cut off any form of competetive PVP. PVErs get all these amazing voiced quests, flashpoints, and group quests but PvP feels like some tacked-on afterthought. And to add insult to injury Bioware just announced they are working on more.......wait for it......................WARZONES!!

    Mirrored classes

At first i though so too. Then i met some Sith Sorcerers on my Sage and found out they can spam you to death with lightning. My Telekinetic Throw which is supposed to be the mirror of their lightning ticks for 600max, even with Force Potency up.
  19. Can we at least get a hint at what is planned for the future of PVP in TOR???? All we have been getting are these corporate confirmation on how devs are working on delivering more content in the future. Which to me sound exactly like the vague excuses of a politician, before they rip you off. - Ubearable GCDs that take ages with pointless animations that youre forced to watch (a 4 sec stun on my 42 JShadow means i can land 1hit on a guy before hes free) Im sure more can be added to this list. Its really sad considering how supposedly over 200 million went into this game.
  20. I didnt roll a Sith to play fair.
