  1. Mostly playing my Shadow and Scoundrel these days. No point in playing my sage, he's well geared, but not as fun as the others any more.

Yeah, I've kicked out insane healing when people leave me alone to freecast too. /sarcasm on When rated warzones come out, I am going to insist that I only play teams that let me freecast. /sarcasm off. Sorry, 8 players let you heal that much, means they sucked. Badly. Very badly. You not knowing this really makes me doubt you know the difference between suck and good. TLDR; High healing numbers against badies means nothing.
  3. Very well said. Some things are an IQ test. This situation is one of them. Sage healing is not "fine". It is not "fine" by such a huge margin that if you can't see the problem, you will likely never be able to see the problem or any problem in an MMO. To those who say "your teaming isn't doing it's job", I say. My teammates play classes that get better when I do my job. I play a class that get's playable when they do their job. If that's your idea of balance, we are unlikely to ever agree.
  4. 1) If you're getting free time, you're fighting terribads. (Not just bads) 2) Pre 1.2 you could take it for the few seconds needed to get off your heal. Now, if you try to do anything but a bubble or hot (worthless) while kiting, you die. You actually die either way, but slower if you give up all pretense of being there to heal and just kite / pillar hump. The increase in DPS is so unbelievable that I can't believe you're playing the same game as me. Heals just don't keep people up. You can refill people, but you're not keeping anyone alive if they are getting beat on by 2 people. And YES, I most certainly think that if I am left to free cast, I should be able to slow/stop the damage of 2 players on one of my teammates. That's why everyone has 5 interrupts, to stop me from doing it! That's why I get focused first. To stop me from doing it! As it stands, you can spam heals on people, it hardly slows down their death at all. That really get's to the point of it all. Interupts were supposed to be our counter, but people fail at using them, so our healing was nerfed to oblivion. Fine! then take away interrupts. Make our heals instant, like operatives.
  5. Core healing changed considerably. Your spike healing ability is gone. At the same time you are taking significantly more damage. As such, We have to move around near continuously. This stops you from doing any meaningful healing while you're moving. Our HoT, bubble, and talented cleanse all heal for less than a GCD's worth of damage. The healing you do that exceeds damage taken for the same amount of time comes from long cast time abilities that are trivial to interrupt and that no amount of alacrity is going to change. This is also why Smugglers and OPs are kings of PvP healing right now. They have great tools to be able to kite and do meaningful healing at the same time.
  6. ...is terrible in PvP since Patch 1.2. I'm sure there'll be someone saying it's fine, but that says more about you than it does about seer healing. And what it says isn't good.
  7. You're acting like it's some big secret why they added trauma. It's not, we all know this. The reality is that healing got double nerfed. It got nerfed through expertise. It got nerfed through abilities.
  8. /sigh 12% - 30% is in fact less than 0. The reality is that DPS just got a 12%+ boost on top of healing abilities being adjusted to lower their HPS.

Disclosure Full BM geared sage. 31/7/3 Seer speced I was standing there fighting in my Nth warzone today, I saw my teammate being attacked and my mind quickly decided what is the best way to stop him from dying. I DPS'd his attacker down, then healed him. Then what had just happened hit me. For all of the talents I spent in my healing tree, my brain subconsciously realized that my untalented damage abilities were more useful at that moment than my highly talented healing abilities. This is definitely going to take some getting used to.
  10. Not always, it's pretty common to have it bug out and keep you in combat for far longer than 8 seconds. That said, the correct action is to fix the bug, not change the mechanic.
  11. All kidding aside, help me understand. You@Now: Not enjoying game. (A few fixes occur) You@Future: Enjoying the game. So the few things that need fixing are so severe that they prevent you from enjoying the game?
  12. The game is not perfect. There are many issues that need to be addressed. However, I love this game and I am very happy with where it is at this point. Keep up the good work and don't let the whiners bring you all down.
  13. Penalize me for leaving AFTER you fix the 11vs8 battlegrounds that I constantly find myself in. On second thought, just fix them now. It's not a good statement about your priorities to leave such a huge issue unfixed this long. At the very least, make the 11vs8 exploit an automatic loss for the 11. I guarantee this bug will become a lot less common then.
  14. I do the same thing. I have an orange robe that I modded out that I wear. In the end, I wind up losing 50 expertise and a tiny bit of armor, but I pick up some endurance and willpower. The rest of my gear is Battlemaster and Champion, so I can afford the small expertise loss. It's really funny when people get arrogant and think I am a freshly minted 50. They try to roll me only to find out I am a lot harder to kill than they expected. I even get some who snicker at my Battlemaster tag prior to their rude awakening.

  17. I think my biggest gripe about the game is that you can't mod out orange gear for PvP. I really think that was a mistake. My fulled geared Sage Champion looks like a homeless clown now. He looked way cooler at 40. I realize that this is a very subjective opinion, but wasn't that the whole point of orange gear? BTW, ridiculously oversized shoulders and gloves are soo... <that other game>. /rant off
  18. Just curious what is the latest pre-order redemption date in the wave 3 invites. Anyone know anyone with a late July or possibly early August redeem date that made wave 3?
