1. Well if it is factional cannibalism, doesn't that make it truely a Civil War?
2. I don't use Relics/Adrenals. If I plan on healing, I go full heals. If I want to DPS a target I stay concealed and use situational judgement. I figured we'd get nerfed at some point because that is that seems to be the baseline strategy for the development team. I just don't feel it anymore. It doesn't phase me, and if you are an operative and reading this; don't let it phase you. They'll find a way to nerf us in 1.4 as well, undoubtedly.
3. BEST! 100% serious. The below has been about as noticeably missed as any feature in the game. •Players are no longer removed from their current group when they join a Warzone. While a player is in a Warzone, all functions affect the Warzone group. Players that are not in the Warzone will see the original group normally, and when the Warzone is over, players in the Warzone will be able to interact with their original group You CAN beat a dead horse (Zoeller loves to poke the Operative corpse with a stick to see if it still twitches)
4. This is what I'm talking about, compromise. 36 heat as a suggestion is to get people to understand what could be on the table and make suggestions themselves. I obviously don't want to see something so drastic, but everyone wants to be tight lipped and deny the conversation, instead degrade themselves with insults.
5. Well changing the PT tree is not necessary since Super Heated Rail is already 3rd tier. And Railshot does an inordinant amount of damage when spec'd properly (which requires very little in the realm of strategic point allocation [5/5/31]. It is very (too) easy to reduce heat cost.
6. But the conversation about PT. Let's get specific as to bring the discussion back into focus. Here is how RailShot should read. Rail ShotInstant Heat: 36 Cooldown: 12s Range: 30 m Fires a very powerful shot at the target that deals 1404 - 1591 weapon damage. Only usable against incapacitated targets and targets suffering from periodic damage. There also needs to be a fundamental change to the PT tree: Gyroscopic Alignment Jets (1/2) You have a 25% chance to vent 4 heat when knocked down or knocked down. (2/2) You have a 60% chance to vent 6 heat when knocked down or knocked down. Puncture - Moved to 3rd Tier of AP for the rate of return on points spent OR (See below) (1/3) Railshot ignores 15% of the targets armor (2/3) Railshot ignores 25% of the targets armor (3/3) Railshot ignores 40% of the targets armor There are a couple of ideas on the table. It won't gimp the class, and it forces more situational judgement than just "GCD rotation and distance".
7. I think you're being just a bit sensitive and it takes away from the credibility of your argument. There are no victims on this forum, and in this converstaion there is a lot of vaguery and conjecture. Explain with numbers if you want a conversation, anything else is just argumentative rhetoric.
8. And that is just my point SneiK, we are in the community section and if it is not the community speaking then who do you suggest is actually posting? We have a huge problem here, and that is that everyone knows some changes need to be made but no one can agree on what is actually wrong. If we are strictly talking PT, I would venture into changing heat cost for Railshot and/or the armor penetration rating. I'd reduce the chance to vent heat on CC from 100% to 60%. Those 2 things coupled with shield cooldowns will force the game to speed up for PT.
9. PT/Sin/Mar will all be nerfed based on feedback from the community whether all are in agreement or not. It is obviously a heavy topic of conversation and BW is going to make changes. My hope is that they learn from what they did to Operative/Sorcs By not emasculating the AC's and drastically reduce it's purpose. I now have a PT/Sin and I neglected rolling a Mar 'cause I really want to build a good tank out of a Jugg when I keep hearing how difficult it is. They are all lvl 50, and are into their BM gear. PT is not easy mode, neither is Sin or Mar. But (w/ the exception of Sin) the situational awareness required to be successful is imeasurably different compared to other AC's and even down to specific builds. Change is coming.
10. PT's heat cost will be increased on the most damaging shots in the average rotation and the cries will stop. They will also get a small boost in survivability.
11.
God mode is the ability to one-shot people, fly around the map, and never die. Some armor pen on one ability, Rail Shot, doesn't make us a God mode class. It's actually pretty easy, stun then sprint away, or stealth. We have a harpoon that's 30m range, but that's when you use your stun, after we harpoon you. Pyro has no movement increase abilities so we're pretty much tied as least mobile class in the game with Snipers, Operatives, and Mercs.
How mobile do you have you be when your opponents only strategy (by your admissions) is to stun you and run away? You're argument is counter to your intent.
12. Surgical Probe is an instant heal with no cooldown that uses a tactical advantage. If used under 30% you have a chance the be granted another TA and another Surgical Probe. If you critical the SP heal (above 30%) you can also gain TA. I've healed myself anywhere from 1200-2600 consistently while running from 2-3 defenders and survived using line of site and CC. This person wasn't jut dancing around if they got away from 2 people. I bet they were pretty tactical in their movements.
13. While I agree that premades will be an added benefit to rated warzones, you are rated on your individual performance and ranking. There is actually nothing related to "teams" in this type of content. If anything the "team" is a collection of proficient to elite players.

Bllodbane is arguing hard lol. I can't imagine how hard she's going to take the announcement when it hits.
15. He is trolling..... You may want to consider stepping away from the computer and getting some fresh air. Those classes will get nerfed man, it's just a matter of time. I don't agree with it, but I do accept it.
16. Never said they deserved a nerve. I said they'd get nerfed to appease the people that are complaining. Mar will have cooldowns increased Tankasins will have their skill trees re-arranged PT will have their heat cost increased Just remember that this company has already demonstrated the ability to modify their game(s) based on feedback from their customer base.
17. Let's call a spade a spade man. Rated warzones = epeen for hardcore pvpers and nothing more. Not that there is a problem with that, but rated WZ bare no significance to the average gamers experiece save for the chance at some extra swag. The average gamer has now started to leave this game along with the majority of the true hardcore gamers that had full BM in the first month or so. This is the result of grind style, time-gated, game play mechanics and lack of true community building/maintaining features. Social interaction with rated war zones will be reduced, not enhanced. No one is going to care about me having the nicest gear save for a few, the rest will get on with their lives.
18. More queues = progress We'll sort out the remainder of the issues as we go along.
19. Obvious troll is obvious Mar/Assassin/PT are going to get nerfed with all of the people crying, just like operative and sorc all over again.

Too much noise is being made over Mar/Assassins/PT. Nerfs are coming on general principle. Ops got nerfed 3x and I truly believe the 3rd was just to make one last jab at the class before leaving it alone for good.
21. No one will care even when there is proof. But he is posting a link so people can watch his streamed matches. Watching him play might tell you more than a "manageable" stacked ranking.

Marauders are probably going to get nerfed just on general principle since so many people are complaining. There were minor complaints about the daily vs. weekly reward and look what happened. Mar will probably have their skill trees adjusted, and tankasins will have their timers increased. I'll bet credits on it at this point. Why do you think the "updates" are taking so long?
23. Talk about hedging your bet.....
24. SWG had an actual community because it was a sandbox MMO. There was a point to PVP and players had ownership of SOMETHING. Here it is hit level 50 and grind the same 10 missions every day and win 3 warzones. There is ZERO endgame content and the professions are as balanced as they are going to get save for some energy/heat costs that need to be adjusted.
25. This is actually the worst way to do it imo. The big pieces will net the most gain where as you will have to buy multiple pieces to net the same gain. Weapons grant the most gain but it takes about 23,000 comms to convert for both weapons and 35,000 if you go chest piece as well.
