  1. Operations aren't pve content for me. I prefer other stuff, open world mobs for example.
  2. It won't work in an area where pvpers are camping pve players in newb recruit pvp gear trying to get objectives completed. It will be a slaughterhouse.
  3. The recruit gear won't keep pvp newbs alive.
  4. And if it's universal then it should not be in a pvp area, as many players never ever want to do pvp, especially open world pvp. And certainly there should be no forced flagging on a pve server to complete "universal" objectives. These players don't even have the special pvp gear that can help them survive long enough to complete the objective.
  5. They could add these things to the existing pvp ranking system and vendors.
  6. Just make the rewards pvp-specific, so the pve players can be aware the content is not for them and just shrug the content off. Seems odd to make another scaling system pvp-exclusive however, we already have a ranking system for pvp.
  7. See you don't know either. If there's only pvp rewards, then who cares about this content, it would be optional. If there's pve rewards then it would be fine if they allow pve players access to this system without causing them to flag. However if there is forced pvp and the content offers pve rewards then the content is no longer truly optional - in fact it's pve content that's being deliberately withheld from pve players. More information is required, let's hope they don't screw this one up
  8. If it's pvp content and it offers only pvp rewards then fine. If it's pve rewards then we have a problem.
  9. This would be great, but only if when accepting the DLC, the players were made to sign a disclaimer stating they waive their right to make tickets/threads about, or any complaints in connection with, resurrecting their dead companions.
  10. The problem with your angle is, it's a whole new system they're introducing which is being withheld from those who don't like pvp. It'd be fine if they just had some content, I mean who would care if it was just a matter of a handful of quests...but excluding people from a whole system (reputation system)? That's too much content to hog. Do you understand yet? They are going to have to (if they haven't already put this in place) add access to this system in non-pvp areas.
  11. The only issue (should this be the case) is excluding pve players from pve content.
  12. If you don't like pve why would you want or need pve gear or items? Adding pve gear/items to a pvp event is just wrong. Should only be pvp items in a pvp event, and pve items in a pve event.
  13. Yet what happens is that group gets more content and pve-pures get less content, because this content offers pve gear but is exclusionary to the people who don't enjoy pvp. Assuming of course the gear offers pve goodies and also is only in a pvp flagging area. Do you understand yet what the issue is, or are you going to say (again) that your group has as much right as others to the same content (because if we start down this path, then we will need to offer another special reputation grind system in a purely pve area, perhaps involving petting rainbow unicorns and escorting them across a field of flowers, to put off the pvp lovers and make them start writing up equivalent protest posts). Put simply, this content actively excludes an entire group of people who might otherwise like the rewards and the grind, if it wasn't for the location of this content.
  14. So you're stating your assumption that this new reputation grind is purely a pvp system giving only pvp gear? Because if it's also supposed to be for pve gear and items, and you can only do this in a pvp zone while flagged for pvp, then this is pve content which is being denied to all who don't enjoy pvp.
  15. What's the sense in forcing people to group to get these objectives completed when this particular grind is there to bypass the need to group up (and do raids) to get gear? This content should be soloable, and not force pvp, or it's entirely pointless. There are already grinds in place for people who like to group (raids) or pvp (pvp gear).
  16. More grind, and better not cause forced pvp on the pve servers.
  17. What about those of us on pve servers already - the contested area will cause pve players to flag and get ganked. Any bright ideas or words of wisdom for the pve players on a pve server getting ganked? Maybe everyone but the gankers should unsub.
  18. So a crappy pvp update at the exclusion of the pve players. The new galactic reputation system is also exclusive for pvp players? Seems very off. You don't expect pve players on a pve server to flag themselves to do this content right?
  19. It's not fire, it's a fast-growing glowing space barnacle taking advantage of the comfy nest-shaped hole caused by the damage your ship just took.
  20. PVP is other players affecting other players, while PVE is the environment affecting other players. The environment isn't consciously choosing to annoy you, but in the case of PVPers coming at you, it's another player consciously choosing to annoy you. In short, in PVP, we have our choice taken away from us in favour of the choice made by another player. That is the difference. Incidentally, personally it wouldn't bother me if you never had to do any PVE to advance your character. More mobs for me, less wait time to gain objectives.
