  1. I see all future MMOs with subscription payment model as a big no-no for investors. SWTOR's storyline and voiceover are delicious, though.
  2. All i've heard was some excuse. Something like the game need to 'mature', then they'll add LFG tool. No idea about definition of game maturity though. Probably it's loading bars need grow some hair, or it might be something else, like two big expansion packs, i don't know. UPD: Ah, I see. Must have missed that 'yellow post'. In other words, not in the near future. Meanwhile, keep spamming chat channels.
  3. Well, if an item sells, you get back your deposit minus a small fee. If a lot expires you get full refund. If you end your lot before it expires, you don't get your deposit back. I've checked all these, I trade alot, it works exactly as I've just described.
  4. It's not a fee, it's deposit. You get it back minus a very small fee, unless you withdraw your lot prematurely. If your lot expires, you get full refund. I bet they made it to avoid GTN camping.
  5. Then why other, quite recent and packed with a lot more tools and features, games can't brag about spending world's biggest budget?
  6. They got premade Hero Engine and the whole Warhammer Online. Sounds more like updating rather then developing from a scratch to me.
  7. Hmm... Where are the f..g money, Lebowski? I mean, considering the lack of features, they've already spent over $100mil on what?
  8. WoW doesn't have cinematic and voiced dialogues. Neither it has well-written storylines. Just so you know, professional writers and professional actors charge helluva money these days.
  9. Believe or not, but sandbox is the only option to keep the playerbase busy. This game already costed a little too much. Firing off content patches every three month and major payed update annually will cost more then same sized updates for any other game. Sandbox playgrounds somewhere on the Outer Rim would cost much less and would keep players busy between content patches. Otherwise it's going to be a marathon Bioware never can win.
  10. I was about to cancel, but then I took a blaster shot to the buttock. Well, actually I just enjoy storytelling so far. Since I don't want to spend in game more then ten hours per week, most of the group content is unavailable to me. And PvP here is just lame. I think, the storytelling will have my interest for a next month, after then I'll, most likely, unsub.
  11. Well, 21st century's features are yet to be announced, but it's good to see the ship moving.
  12. Well, I'm no kid. Still I'd like to have an ability to work with companions from a smartphone or a tablet, preferably Android based. Or at least to have an option to do this from web browser, without logging into game. Additional $3/month won't be a problem too. Now scratch that and go fix some bugs and add some toolbox. It's 2012 already and this game doesn't have even a combat log!
  13. Leveling is the main conception of RPG mechanics. Get rid of levels, and you'll have a game of entirely different genre.
  14. Still I'd like to tear off it's vocal module completely. Especially one installed to C2-N2. 'Even a most advanced droid can't make a shimmersilk purse from bantha's ear. I promise to do better next time'. Gah, I can't even comment it with non-obscene words.
  15. Some day you gonna realize that it's not LFD ruined or ruins or will ruin a community. LFD is just a freaking tool designed to make life comfortable. Join some chat channel you say? Alright, now assure me, please, that this chat won't be flooded with enormous amounts of BS, like any public chat channel? Assure me that I'll get a group anywhere I want within 20 minutes, will you? Again, WoW's cross-realm LFD hasn't ruined anything. Yesterday I tried to run a flashpoint. I spent 3 (three) freaking hours, half of this time looking for a group and half of this time wiping because of lame healer. With LFD we'd just kick that dude out and get another. Note there was over 200 people aboard Imperial fleet at that time. I've seen some guy spamming general for an hour trying to get a group for some 4-men quest. Eventually somebody said like: Dude, shut up. Rather then just to help him. Area was populated with about 80 people. Myself got 4-men quest, promptly came to the required area and been just standing around asking for a group for an hour. I've seen two or three groups run before me in and out. There was about 60 men around and i was just sending messages into oblivion. Wanna more examples? I guess, that's quite enough. There is so much for a good, healthy and LFD-less community. Well, don't get me wrong, I'm all for a good company and for running group content with friends. We got guilds for it. That's a good, reliable and troll-proof solution. You know, i'm just trying to guess, why do you hate LFD so much? You get kicked out of groups too often, do you? Maybe it's because you play a dps and can't pull half decent damage and got no clue about disabling adds and interrupting? Or are you a healer unable to hold a whole group alive? Maybe a tank who got no idea about holding threat and getting mobs off a healer? Well, in this case you must hate LFD, because those good for nothing elitist nolifers give you a boot all the time and find a replacement all too quick. Of course with no LFD they would have to babysit you all the way, you might be the only one in a mile around. TLDR: LFD is just a tool. It helps to enjoy the game, it helps me to keep my friend list filled with actual friends rather then some dude i've been running a dungeon with, like 20 levels ago. Also it helps me to keep my ignore list very short.
  16. It's hugely server dependent. I've got two toons, one with American crowd, on low-to-standard populated server. Well, it appears to be for solo play most of the time. The other is on European server with up to heavy population during peak hours. Seen around 60 people in starting area and around 160 at Coruscant, something about 120-130 faces at Republic fleet. I guess it's OK. Though i can't help but notice a population decline. Three weeks ago it would've been about 150 people at starting area and a little less then 300 at areas like Coruscant and Dromund Kaas. Couple of weeks ago I've been looking for lowest populated server, so I could play solo and enjoy the storytelling without standing in line to kill one named mob. Now I have had to roll a new toon on high populated server, so I could see more of the group content. Well, the holidays are over, people got back to their day to day activities and tend to spend less time online. Also three weeks back we all were at levels 1-20, now I see more and more high level toons. I'm rather more curious about the future population status after 01.20. It's gonna be like a doomsday or something. The game is so incomplete... Wonder how many people will re-sub for a second month, how many people are going to just wait and see and probably re-sub later and how many people will be gone for good.
