  1. Oh Satele, I never knew you thought of me that way. Here... let me help you out of that bulky armor. I'll be gentle...
  2. Well said. Gaming since the late 80's and I have the ability to form my own thoughts without the need for support or acceptance. I can also just 'move on' without hissy-fitting about it first. Lost of old-school gamers still game. We're just quieter.
  3. So press your buttons and vanish... Now you're back to where you started.
  4. I force charge the gap any chance i get. Tactics are tactical. That's what kills PvP and establishes "nerfs". When players use their brain to come up with tactics to over-come a situation, and others whine. Mainly because once that "tactic" gets made public (which is usually real fast), it becomes a normalized by the public. MMO's and MMO-PvP have never supported using tactics to accomplish a goal, as it's usually deemed an "exploit"/unintentional or "fixed" ("nerfed"). When designing the game and mechanics, they are usually cut and dry in how you can accomplish a goal. In my eyes, this situation was made intentionally as a tactic to either support your bridge defense, or slip by, unknowingly, to try for a ninja bomb plant. I'd say it's completely legal, and anyone who "quits if this happens" needs to pick themselves up by their bootstraps and harden the f**k up.
  5. Loving my Marauder. My newest 50, only rank 55 valor atm, but I have a blast playing him. Get 7-8 medals per WZ, usually in the top 3 with damage, and a hell of a ball carrier. Frenzy + Predation = awesome group buff. They have good damage, and great utility.
  6. You came into this thread, only to nit-pick him blurring names in a screenshot? Really? All I can say is, "lol". On my marauder, healing troopers are a pain. Aside from that, no class really stands out.
  7. Stop using charge as an opener. Run in, deadly sabre, get knocked back, force charge back to them. Simple as that.
  8. Anni spec is pretty much just single target.
  9. Mara is the only class that hasn't been boring to play. My operative got specced healer and collects dust inbetween needing him to heal for HMs/Ops. Mara is fun, has a lot going on, and I just flat out enjoy the hell out of playing him.
  10. I was in beta for a while. Maras and Sents cried all the time about how crappy they were. Said they hit like wet noodles, with no CC and they were buffed 2 times.
  11. I played an Operative to 50 as my main, then went heals and rolled a Marauder. Wouldn't have it any other way. I have no issues 1v1, even in my half cent/champ, have lvl 45-47 leveling oranges. If you're getting owned by sorc's, you're tactics need reworking, cause sorc and sage are the 2 easiest classes for me to kill. Are you using cds properly? Are you setting them up for big dmg such as deadly sabre, 3 bleeds + rupture, hitting trink and force choking while they DoT to 1/2 health in the duration of force choke? Are you using obfuscate often? Seriously, just hit 50 3 days ago on my marauder, and having a blast in WZs while only rocking 304 expertise atm. Level 50 valor aswell. I pretty much leveled him through WZ.
  12. My wife has given birth 3 times. You will NEVER see me mistake a woman for less than a mans worth... I couldn't do it, and I think i have a high pain threshold. With that said, our Co raid-leader was a female. her name was Buligerent for a reason. Nice as can be, but if you **** up, she'd be the first to tell you that you suck. Which is why we loved her haha.
  13. For someone so intelligent, you make a lot of assumptions that seem to only benefit your viewpoint. Raiding isn't hard. WoW was also not my first MMO, nor the first time i raided. MMORPGS have become much more mainstream, thus having to evolve to meet the new-commers needs aswell as trying to maintain those of its core supporters. Do us both a favor, and stop assuming and trying to be elitist. Especially for one so efficient and intelligent as you say. Raiding for social reasons has few rewards. Being geared for the content takes strain off other players. It's absurd to assume i meant to be raid geared to do a raid? Waitwut? Silly notion. Being geared with appropriate entry level gear is what I was referring to. It wasn't that hard to figure out. Now, as for the important piece of the puzzle. Let's look at that. If you are on add duty, and adds get out of control and wipe. It was social alright, but inefficient because you didn't accomplish the "common goals" of the raid. If you're the off-tank meant to taunt off main tank because of stacking debuffs, and you fail to taunt, you failed. it was social, yet again, you didn't accomplish your "common goals". So much for the "important piece of the puzzle theory". Again, 20 isn't casual and 40 isn't epic, it's all relative to the dedication and ability of the individual. A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. P.S. You completely missed the topic of my post. Let's try backing your "intelligence" claim a little. big raids take more time, simple logic.
  14. Have you ever played an MMO before? Look at the chat, and tell me that it's common to have 70 people in one guild, all geared accordingly, and online at once to do a raid. In my 10 mans, once a week on avg we had someone not be able to raid due to scheduling conflicts with work / family / sick / being out of town. Let's say 2 people don't show for your intelligently efficient planning because they got called into work. Now you have to look for 2 players of 1) Appropriate roles 2) Appropriate gear / skill 3) Not complete morons 4) Know mechanics (other-wise you now have to tell them the encounters which takes more time) 5) Agree to your raids rules. There are more, but I think this is enough to say that getting huge raids together does require time. There is a fine line between effectiveness and overkill. 40 doesn't equal hardcore, and 20 doesn't equal casual. It's all relative.
