I feel a sense of joy every time she smiles at me with those pretty little eyes of hers. My fear and anger subside every time she is near. I keep finding myself allowing my targets to live and escape. Lately i am sensing she wants to open up about something, but I think my dark ways are keeping us apart. I feel strange, something in the pit of my stomach..is this love? I fear if I do not change my ways, she will abandon me. I can not let that happen, I will do everything in my power to keep her. Voila, you offset the affection hit and get even more darkside points for a paltry few hundred creds. It's a win-win. Near the end of the BH story, several other BH's are killed at a party for the player character. Mako kind of breaks down and snaps at the player. She says something like "I know this is dangerous work, but it's you. You go out of your way to make sure that people hate you, and everyone around you pays the price." She then just wants to go back to the ship and gets really quiet. Yeah, that made me sad IRL and I actually went out and started buying tech gifts for Mako because I felt guilty. Listen, I know not everyone approves of lesbian love, but I think the religious right could get over a digital almost kiss cutscene. If they can't, who cares, free publicity. You let my female Sheppard hook up with Liara in Mass Effect, why not now? Did someone make you change your opinion about how awesome that kind of choice is? I get her in at the start of a quest and make her feel involved - that it's all for her that I'm about to travel through uncharted territory and fight unknown creatures for her. Then when I am about to hand in the quest I send her off to pick flowers or something while I kill innocents callously for darkside points.
