  1. I thought it was intentional, just the way the warriors' and knights' coats/capes look. Robes is how I would describe what consulars and inquisitors wear, these guys have more of a cape/coat hybrid going on. I don't think it looks bad.
  2. As a sith inquisitor, when I did that Ashara-related quest on Taris where you collect the datacron-like thingies, I absolutely loved how the remixed samples of Across the Stars kicked in seamlessly a couple of times when the records played. It was great. And a lot of my excitement was due to the fact that we get so little of that in this game! Let's have more of it BW, it works great and really adds to the cinematic value of the game.
  3. I think SWTOR will survive the release of GW2 just fine. It looks to me like SWTOR will be the more refined and complex but well tuned and perfected experience, whereas GW2 will be flashy and fast, but more hectic and less less memorable. But who knows, ArenaNet has been claiming to try to make the best MMO to date, so I like everyone esle am gonna give their game a try and then stick with the winner. But even though I've been following GW2 pretty closely, I still believe that SWTOR is where I will be. The force is strong with this one.
  4. That's old news, everyone gets mad numbers as level 10-12 due to bolster. I'va gotten THE top of the DPS with a 10-12 Mercenary and I'm fairly sure most classes can pull that off.
  5. Assassin in SWTOR in first and foremost INQUISITOR, which Maul wasn't. That's what in this game defines your style of clothes and story and combat. Maul was just a warrior, all you have in common with him is the weapon. Stop saying that the class was modelled after him when clearly it wasn't - you are playing it after all and should be able to tell. Who knows why one dev said that at some point? Maybe having the same weapon and Tumult is what he meant, but that's that. INQUISITOR's style is based on characters like Sidious, with defining features such as robes, heavy use of force, and scheming, as opposed to saber-intensive cape and breath-mask wearing warriors based off Vader. Maul was nothing like the inquisitor, but a lot more like a warrior with a saberstaff. Assassin in this game is the more a melee-intensive version of Sidious with a saberstaff, and NOT a lightning-shooting Darth Maul. There is the difference. Whether that was a good idea of BW is a different topic.
  6. To all whiners: some armor sets you're gonna like, some you're not. If you consistently don't like them then your expectation is obviously different from the conception of the designers, which means you are playing the wrong game and maybe WoW is a better fit, or maybe not. But either way you are obviously not the target audience with their work if you consistently dislike the armor designs. If its just one tier that you don't like then see above - can't please everyone with every single set. Better luck next time. I personally don't think they're great, but I don't think they're horrible. The champion-BM tier was actually pretty good for assassins in my opinion, and some people complained a lot about them as well, which makes me think that those people have their own fixed expectation and think that the designers owe it to them to follow that expectation and not be creative. I'd rather have creative designs that some times don't work as nicely as others, rather than a never changing "safe" style that nobody will qq about.
  7. I am sitting on 56 DNA Sample that I didn't get a chance to spend. Not a huge deal, but kind of a bummer still. It was'nt clear to me that the vendor wasn't going to stay for some time after the end of the outbreak (hey maybe if the devs didn't try to be funny and talk about the end of the event as "the end of the outbreak" then it would've made more sense). Well, not the first time it happens. Same happened to me with the geologist vendor - missed the announcement, world of regret now. BW loves doing that.
  8. Depends purely on how much time I have. The experience is more complete with the dialogues and voice acting, and knowing the background story for the quests you're doing, but before I finished my final exams the other day, I had to skip a lot of them just because they took a lot of time and I wouldn't have advanced in the game in the limited time I had. Now I watch all of them and never get bored. People who slam space bar through them are playing the wrong game.
  9. I'm totally for it. it only logical to use mirror class for the change, and clear all affection with companions. Works fine, everyone happy. Don't like it --> don't do it, the service is for those who want to swap factions (if that's not obvious). I just can't understand the weird arguments about how that doesn't make sense storywise, how it would be hard to implement etc. I just don't get it. Pay --> swap --> done. Faction balance slightly improved.
  10. I used Andronikos ever since I got him in Darkness spec. Then Ahsara when got her. In any other spec I'd assume you won't survive without Khem tanking, until you get Talos to heal you.
  11. I kinda like that she is whore-proof tbh, but I guess if she was able to wear bikinis I could learn to like that too
  12. I think early to mid-summer is when 1.3 will hit. Perhaps towards the end of June. I hope they are working on including paid services like appearance re-customization and factions changes as a feature of 1.3.
  13. I love that now I can abandon all old quests properly. That bug was annoying as hell. Not happy about the removal of the geologist vendor though.
  14. see my post above. its not because they don't care about details or because they're blind - its so that they can add those later so that there is constant influx of new popular crystals going on. right now its black-purple and black orange, one day it will be sleek orange, sleek yellow & sleek green.
  15. I am 200% sure that sleek green color like in the films is just being saved for later as a rare crystal that they can manipulate players or artifice with, just like they did with purple and cyan. If its not in the game already, then they won't just give it to you because you ask. It will be a flavor-of-the-month item in later patches.
  16. PvP gives plenty of XP, if you wanna do laid back leveling through warzones only, then the trade off is that it takes longer than actually running all over the galaxy questing. The amount of XP also depends on how well you and your team perform, so try to win, get medals and get MVP. The questing gets old indeed, but I hope you understand that proper solution for that is diversifying the questing experience, not simply raising the the PvP XP so that they dont have to address the linear and dull questing.
  17. Are you sure the PvP vendor doesn't have them? Try the guys by the pvp mission termila, the guy who sells pvp boxes, I'm pretty sure he has red and blue crystals for 500 warzone commendations. Otherwise, the republic Recruit lightsaber also had blue crystal in it, I think.
  18. You mind repeating that way of getting the crystal through PvP? All I can see there is several black core crystals + normal red and blue. No purple or cyan. Champion gear has been replaced with Recruit, whose colors aren't purple/cyan, but red and blue as you can see here http://db.darthhater.com/items/53989/recruit_survivors_double_bladed_lightsaber/ So what am I missing? As you can see it's not about me refusing at all.
  19. All I can say to that is I never was rude to either of you two first, or made any false assumptions or commented on your personality, because it has nothing to do with the topic. You were first to start talking down to me, and if you don't think that the other guy's post which I called pointless was just a bunch of groundless off-topic comments about me, then you might wanna read it again. You may disagree with me, but at least I reasoned with you and wasn't rude. Yet somehow the discussion with me is pointless. Then I guess listening to you two talk down to people and call them lazy is what's not pointless. Peace guys.
  20. Accusations of laziness again strong argument you have. peace!
  21. well bro, since you started making countless assumptions about me based on nothing, I'm gonna reply to you one last time because obviously talking to you is starting to be a waste of time. no, I am not very very lazy. if you think not being able to play SWTOR for X amount of hours has something to do with laziness, then... well, not gonna say anything. they can warn me about removing something all they want, should I just stop doing everything else and rush to get that thing before they remove it? its the removing it in the first place that I think was a wrong thing to do. or does warning someone that you're gonna shoot them in the knee make it okay? well then you talk about what i do and dont care about, so not gonna argue with that because obviously you're psychic and can read people's minds. thanks for telling me what I think. What's next.. I just say I wanna work for it, but actually I dont? again your uncanny psychic powers. could argue with that but what the hell do I know, according to the psychic I am all talk. obviously I dont craft? have a crafting profession on both my toons, thanx. neither is artifice. but hey, OBVIOUSLY I dont craft, lol. kinda curious what makes it so OBVIOUS to you, but won't bother. and you bet I whine about downtimes as well. well, the history of everybody's posts is publicly visible here - I invite you to take a stroll and check that for yourself, mr. psychic. I think that covers just about everything. As I said, this discussion with you is beyond pointless now, so I'm ending my part of it here.
  22. Well that's your take on how mean BW should be with those crystals, introducing the whole "sale" to your example that also ends at some point. For the sake of the argument I assumed in my example that color crystals were represented by salary, so the second guy got $0, because not working enough hours amounted to no crystal even after he worked the same amount of hours as the same guy. My point is exactly that I don't think that having the "sale" is very fair on BW's part, because some players get excluded too easily by not making the "sale". Its one thing when it is only available for a limited time as a very hard-to-get reward, and completely different when sold by a vendor for 125K, barely challenging. So yeah, it really does suck when one guy works for 1 week and gets a really nice HDTV for 90% off, but then the other one saves the same amount of money or even more, but still can't get one. The question then is if BioWare should be making it so that it "really sucks" to some players. You think yes, I am not so sure.
  23. No, if they released a game with a useless profession, then they should deal with it, not me. As far as I know champion has been removed from the game and also as far as I know, you couldn't take the color crystal out of the champion saber anyways. Yeah and that's where we disagree, because I don't think that "it sucks" and "that's what happens" are valid excuses to screw players over like that.
  24. Do you think I'm asking to be given the rewards for free or something? I said several times in this thread that I also want to actually waste the exact same amount of time to get the credits and the reward but I am not given an opportunity to do that because it has been taken out of the game. Why is that so hard to understand? And no, I am not acting like a 5 year old, I just have a valid complaint about something in the game not making any sense. By your logic 90% of the people on this forums are 5 year olds then.
