JadeBranch
Can we at least have /emotes (custom ones) and /yell opened up for the opposite faction as well. On my RP server, integrating plots with the opposite faction and going to cross faction cantinas is a big thing. Along with not having chat bubbles, the fact that people cannot type in /em or /yell because the other faction can't see it is a BIG issue. JumperPenn
I support OP's idea and would further suggest that cross faction general chat be open to both factions with an opt in system. Go into your settings and tick it on and you can see all the general chat from either side that have also ticked that on. If that is too odd with someone on your faction talking to another person from the other faction who's messages you can't see in general then just make a different cross faction chat people can join in on if they want. Odds are it would be pretty dead, even deader than general chat but at least it would be a way to let people communicate.
SithRex
Personally I think at least a cross faction chat channel would be a good idea. I have a couple of IRL friends that play on the repulic side, it would be nice to be able to say hi in-game....
TehomCD
I was extremely disappointed to learn that neither custom channels nor /emote worked cross faction. The latter restriction is spectacularly stupid, since it just forces /say into a kludge.
