Game crash

I don't want to sound like I'm objecting, but this (switch to the non streaming launcher per this link) will probably not solve their problems. Including me, I have seen lots of guys on this forum who have been told to switch back to non-streaming launcher if using 32 bit OS, but I don't remember a single one of them come back again and post a reply like "great, this fixed my problem"

On the other side, I do remember 3-4 people confirm that this fixed their crashing problems on EA forums, but at the same time they were quite old reponds. And, maybe this thing just do not working out anymore..

Sorry for my temper, but constant crashing/not responding issue is a real pain in the ...

Here is another example of 32 bit OS crashing - link

Edit - if running 32 bit OS all i can say is they are best to use non streaming , regardless if it solves the crashing from 5.0 or not they are best to not use streaming as it isnt a matter of if it will cause issues , it is when.

I read it and they guy still did not get it fix. This its the same guy that keeps posting the same link on the game crashes and even if you remove the ST it dose come back with the major updates cause the patch over rides the game files. I still have my DVD from the day I started to play swtor and gone through the same steps and some how i keep getting the st back on wish they give us the player's the choice to have it or not.

All i can say is I have an install from 2012 that has been copied to 3 different computers, none have switched to streaming ever

not sure why yours would revert on a patch as it shouldn't be possible if the ini specifically has bitraider disabled

Here is my launcher settings in the spoiler I have not ever reverted with

Edit - the only time i have seen a SSN revert to BR is using the repair utility from this link and its just a matter to confirm SSN is still there before launching

It's agrivatimg every time I log out I get the black screen and have to reboot. Wish they would fix issues like this, makes ya wonder what they do with all the money they make from the CC store. Heck there is still graphic issues since launch that are damn frustrating to deal with...

Looks like spending on dead sticks and on twi'lek girls..

But you highlighted a good point. Its really funny to see errors (i.e. bonus series bugs on planet Taris, Balmorra and Voss) which are not fixed for 4-5 years and just been ignored.

Sad thing is its those little things that they are ignoring that make me want to just uninstall and play something else. Like STO, ESO, dare I say WoW, heck World of tanks. I admit tho ESO is having a few issues like black siloets (SP) of players on login. But seriously it's all those little things that go a long way to keep people playing. Subbed since launch and it irks me they can't bother to fix this stuff. Makes me wonder what the funds I pay to subscribe are going for, probably just putting some CEO's lunch money in their pocket....

Oh well nothing I can do about it, I hate complaining about it, but really BW enough is enough get your crap together. Those little things you ignore does say a lot and it does make people not want to play or subscribe to this game...

Got off the phone and sad to report that even they are at a lost as to the number of crashes and thank god for the time of day where I live i got Belfast call center and was able to get in game a do a bug report and ticket. But the key point is unless you backed up the copy of the game st free and have a fall back on well happen to move over to bit raider. With new pc for got to move over off another drive my non st game files and had the st one on and that how it came back.

Well, something did change since yesterday.

Today, I logged onto the game, my character appeared on the screen and the game crashed to the desktop. This time I didn´t have to press any button.

I wonder if we´ll be compensated for all these days withou playing, since I already payied for that.

Got an e-mail from a GM, asking for my PC´s dianoses files. They´re treating this case by case.

What  Maybe there are hundreds of players facing this problem? It will take long.. I thought thats a general bug rather than an individual thing.

Running into the same problem here, using a 64-bit OS

By the way, its bad someone with 64 bit OS is also facing this problem. But, probably there are lots of guys out there with 32 bit OS and running the game flawless. In the end, maybe this could be really about our PCs. On the other hand, my system is well met the minimum system requirements :sul_confused:

I don't know what they did, mine only crashes in cutscenes when I have Bloom on, turn the shaders down same thing, only stops crashing when I have Shaders set to very low which turns em off. but I've noticed the game is slower than usual now, slower than it ever was. All my drivers are up-to-date, all the game files are there I've deleted the bitraider folder 17 times in counting and nothing has changed at all. This is getting hopeless and pointless. I don't know why the shaders are making me crash, like it's the same point in every conversation where it freezes, there is no stopping it, and there is no space baring past it. I mean INTEL HD Graphics is more than enough to run this game, along with Intel Core I3 Processor, so I'm more than capable of running this game, along with 4GB RAM. I don't have a backed up copy of SWTOR I don't think, so it's pointless here for me now, I can't fix it, so I just gotta fight through it. Below, I'll list the points where it crashes, CAUTION, SPOILERS AHEAD.

Chapter Two of Fallen Empire, Dreams and Visions where Valkorion should say "I have always loved the stars."

Chapter Two of Fallen Empire, Dreams and Visions where Valkorion approaches you at your Dead Companions.

Chapter One of Eternal Throne, Wrath and Ruin where Theron should appear when the attack starts.

Chapter One of Eternal Throne, Wrath and Ruin where Senya appears on the holo.

Chapter Six of Eternal Throne, The Dragons Maw where Vaylin gives her speech.

Chapter Nine of Eternal Throne, The Eternal Throne where you are approaching the throne in the dream

Chapter Nine of Eternal Throne, The Eternal Throne where Valkorion Destroys the Holocron

Chapter Nine of Eternal Throne, The Eternal Throne when you take the Throne.

GM sent me another e-mail, told me to open some port on my router. Still no go.

Then, he told me to call EA Tech Support.

You guys had any luck so far?

Yup I had some, the uninstall worked great.... Until EA/BW gets there crap together I'll be playing somewhere else.. Year 5 down the tubes, oh well.

So...I've thoroughly cleaned all the dust from my NIVIDIA GTX 650 Ti video card (Owen), and installed the newest latest drivers. Then I reinstalled the game with out streaming, TWICE! And still when I try to run the game with the Shader Complexity set to anything other then "very low" it causes the card to run at max load which leads to max heat which leads to black screen and then crash which leads to SUFFERING which leads to FRUSTRATION which leads to ANGER which leads to .......well my journey towards the dark side was already complete. BUT GEEZ-O-PETE!

As a sub from day one I'm way to invested in this game to be pushed over the edge and unsub because no one from BW will acknowledge this problem and let us know they are working on a solution.
