  1. why do they still remove my headgear when talking to companions? still broke from beta... .
  2. We had the option to kill Quinn in beta. they removed it because people complained about having 1 less companion than other classes if they did so.
  3. they used to display light and dark. but since the alignment commit buttons were added to the game, all the missions in diplomacy will display whatever you have selected. lgihtside points will still display darkside. if it were as simple as that, then i would not be selecting lightside missions. LoL and im dark 4 now but 20k light and 90k dark LoL .
  4. I thought the Light/Dark commit selection ensured we got the correct Alignment points for Diplomacy. I'm getting hella lightside points though I have dark side commit selected and all the missions in Diplomacy are Dark Side. 15k lightside points and 71k darkside points and Ive only been taking dark options in missions and running dark side diplomacy missions.... why am I gaining a "last jedi" amount of light side points?

  7. south park reference... lots of crappers in min/max that are bad. then you have those still in 308's working those 248's to death. class knowledge is more important than gear. but gear is still key, ranked. you will need to be geared. it matters more than when in regs.

  11. if youre going for a full mit build, mit is more important than HP. if you want HP, go for the full high hp build. i dont have the game here, but i think i went with a 2/3 shield and 1/3 absorb on enhancements/augments on the mitigation set. the high hp set is all high endurance mods, enhancements and augments and using the same 2/3 and 1/3 shield/absorb split. i wouldnt recommend splitting the 2 builds. either you wont have enough mitigation stats to be effective or the HP isnt high enough to cover the high burst phases in operations. i dont mix the sets. ei, left mit gear and right side high hp. i wont do that as i never felt the benefits of going full mit/full high hp. ive been running 3 gear sets on my jugg for years. high HP, full mitigation, and dps. all 3 are effective and have strengths and weaknesses. HM (Vet) Operations im usually in the full mitigation set unless im an off tank, then its DPS (crit cap, then the soft alacrity cap, rest to power) pvp wise its dps set on attack, mitigation for defense on voidstar, high hp for guard swapping. its very fluid and i do swap sets in matches to adapt to whats going on. though going full mit entire matches is a ton of fun. watching fools blow through their burst rotations and barely scratch you, even before the tank patch arrives. (just cant do any dmg back to them LoL) FP's any FP, im usually in the DPS set. all 3 sets are min/maxed

  13. i dont remember any orange gear, but the unique gear still drops, they removed them from the FPs years ago guess ill spend some time and go through a few streams to verify . . . BBL in like 4 hours. LoL this will take some time.
  14. dedicated pvp players will do ops to gain the gear day 1. cycling all their toons through the operations to gain the mats. in a couple weeks time, all their pvp toons will be min/maxed in T5 gear. I plan on doing this, and I have no complaints about it. Gear doesnt make a player good in PvP. others will lag behind and only complain. been like this since day 1. nothing is different with the T5 gear system coming to us. knowing how to work bolster and use it to your advantage while under geared does have its advantages. but knowing the maps, specs, and abilities of your character and the enemy is more important than T5 gear. remember when bolster was 150 rated gear? and all the complaints about it then? bolster was above the max gear rating in the game. gear didnt matter in PvP - yet the same players that complain about T5 gear complained then . . . or when naked PvP was better than geared PVP? I members, you memberz? .
  15. over the past year or so, guild only jumps online for Friday/Saturday night ops runs. rarely do i see anyone during the week. pvp has been the bottom of the barrel since, dare i say 4.0. with the class changes and core ability merges/removals/changed to passives, i dont see a lot of teamwork, focus, objective play. not near what i saw during 2.0-3.0. pvp is full of bad gearing, bad rotations, over rotating node newbs usually its 3-4 good players spread between the 2 teams working objectives while everyone else is DM in regs. rarely see full pre-mades online more than 45 mins to an hour once or twice a week. FP runs, i would find 2 competent players but that 3rd was trash, no matter the level or gear. that 1 would pull regardless of teams HP/force/energy. would end up grouping with the 2 and running an influenced 50 companion. pugging ops is the only real challenge in game. same bad geared, bad rotations, and not knowing mechanic pvp players would show up in the Q. my back still hurt from the pvp matches, now its time to pop an advil and backpack through an operation with these fools? IF YOU GET A POP this game could have been good, if the day 1 bugs were actually fixed, better balance to classes, outright removal of abilities didnt happen, had less servers at launch, most updates and community involvement from the dev team.   16. starfox or the hot garbage that is starifghter? rail fighter vs crap controls cant customize ships like SWG nor use a joystick. its a waste of time. though there is a small few that enjoy and excel at it. i lost count how many times i would blast through all 3 pilot specs in SWG for reward gear for buddies and sales. was a lot of fun gearing up a few ships. had the best heavy x-wing on chilastra and 3rd best RGI, though my oppy was a ton of fun 1 shotting scrubs at times
  17. sjw are crybabies. i was making that connection. they cry about everything that doesnt agree with their views and outlook on life in general. nothing political there. just a troll post to stir the pot, which worked. which is why my post and character was attacked. LoL good players will give advice and constructive criticism. babies will argue that these remarks trigger them and they are being shamed. when in fact they are actually given advice. take it or leave it.
  18. My jugg runs 3 sets of gear. High HP DPS Full Mitigation All 3 are viable in certain circumstances. Some more than others at times. Most have been running DPS gear with the tank armorings because in PvP, DPS is king. I find the most fun using the mitigation gear. Tons of entertainment can be found watching players burst rotations hit like a wet noodle. But if you go that route, know your abilities and every other class. Understand when to interrupt, CC, push/pull and root. Doing this will make the current shield/absorb stats shine much more than you'd think. Many fail at this and are quick to call the mitigation gear, junk. I'm looking forward to what happens when the tank changes actually come to live. High HP, i tend to use when I know I'll be guard swapping a lot to soak up as much DMG on my teammates as possible. DPS set is on when I off node to blow up a guard. Even with the DPS nerf tanks received, it is still very viable. Mitigation gear is usually put on for Voidstar defend phase. But can be fun for huttball. I haven't played enough on Sin and PT to feel comfortable to comment on those builds. I ran 3 juggs in a weekly rotation to gear up quickly, thus I'm very comfortable discussing them and sharing trade secrets. Just like my sniper builds.
  19. Is it me or are the forums slow. SWTOR feels like a shell of what it once was, especially on the forums. I'm not looking forward to getting online again after being overseas a couple of months...
  20. have a guild meeting with the current active players. let them all understand whats happened and bring it to a vote. move to another known active guild with a guildship and stronghold. this way youre not really loosing anything. pull everything out of the guild cargohold. let the other guild know when its good to start the invites. youlll be happier and the community youve built will follow. youll be in a different guild but one that has more active players where everyone can jump in and start helping each other out with operations, FPs, pvp, and starfighter.

SJW's need to grow some thicker skin. if youre getting flak for a ranked match, you're obviously not ready for ranked. for regs, play the objectives and you wont have a problem. pre-type call outs so its a quick double tap of the enter key to send it. even if youre not guarding, so when you see the other team rotate, you can send that call out asap. huttball, use knock backs, roots, slows and interrupts to force the enemy out of their rotations and out of range of the ball carrier. run ahead and setup for a pass. huttball is all about passing and positioning. separate tanks from their guarded teammates and burn down the guard via focused burst. if youre ina 1 v 1 situation at a contested node, youre doing it wrong. target what your teammates are targeting and add your dps to the teams dps to effectively burn players down quicker during contested nodes. learn your character's abilities along with other specs. knowing when to CC and when to interrupt is key. healers keep cleanse on CD. someone is always CC'd or DoTed up and the cleanse can change the favor to your teams side very quickly. not just healers have cleanse that can be used on other players. remember that, dps mercs, operatives, and sorcs. dont forget the fundamentals of the game. there will always be trash talk, grow a pair and ignore it. stick to the plan and work together. dont let personal pride ruin a match. pvp isnt for snowflakes, smurfs, and crybabies. its competitive team play.
  22. leave and join a known established guild. help with operations, conquest, FP runs, pvp, starfighter runs. dont start over with a handful of players that leave that old guild, get with a larger guild and work on each other's goals together dont waste your time with that GM. leave asap
  23. I find your lack of reasoning voice disturbing. My issues with BW and EA are due to the devs straying away from the original direction of the game. I understand adapting to new game mechanics and making adjustments here and there to keep players interested in their product and to coax fresh subscribers. My issues are when these adjustments are changing the core mechanics of the game. a few examples are: Companions are a lie, there is only solo play. companions gear ratings removed. before 3.0, we could fine tune our companions via gear and really make them strong at a specific meta. mako was a very strong healer or dps with a min/max set of gear. pierce was by far the best tank/dps companion when geared properly kaliyo was a very strong tank for an operative healer i had HM FPs on farm solo with a geared companion. before i got into operations heavy and more pvp, i would solo HM FPs for gear, I would assist new players to help them gear out and prep for pvp/operations using HMFPs. it was a great place for new players to get some stats before SM Ops at anytime of the day and didnt need a full 4 man group let alone 7 more for a SM Operation. that was my content for a couple years. BW removed this with the companion changes. companions are garbage now. they cant take burst dps nor heal through burst like a properly min/max geared companion from years ago. i will agree, companion dps is strong, only during the level up process. You can not solo a HM (Veteran) FP since these changes. the companions defenses do not work, they cant equip an off-hand shield, cant heal through burst phases. I was very out spoken on these changes and was banned quite a few times because of the red flags i was pointing out. BW lost me then. tanks have been broken for quite a while. DPS wise and mitigation wise. dps has been toned down but many of us still run dps gear on our tanks in pvp. pvp is all about doing dmg, more so than shielding and guarding players. guard works and many complain about the 50% damage reduction. mitigation stats are making a come back, but its too little too late. this should have been corrected years ago. removing the 4 main stats and making 1 stat. willpower, cunning, aim, and strength turned into mastery. i understand it but it dumbed down the game. over simplified stats. Through solo play, I gain bad habits. removal of abilities. 2.6 saw the ground work that was 3.0 with the removal of abilities from classes. merging of abilities, and turning active abilities into passive abilities. again it was to free up slots for the upcoming new abilities associated with a higher level cap.but for me, concealment operative felt clunky without hidden strike, acid blade always on, and backstab. though they did bring some of these back in a way. knockdown made a return. but later sin lost phasewalk when it was originally a sin only ability. the clunky changes to BH and Commando still has merc and PTs wishing they had the old abilities back. the new ones and animations never felt right for the class. BW reason was to differentiate the classes more with their own special animations and renamed abilities. Through bad habits, I lose power. companions, again yes. their abilities were halved. they lost some abilities and they are all the same. they can do all 3 roles. their unique abilities are gone. vette and mako were great at single tgt dps or aoe dps. some of the abilities were invaluable in those HM FPs i ran. they arent there anymore. HK-51 is only a shell of what this special assassin droid once was. Through loss of power, I cannot gain victory. speed at which you gain XP. i remember when it took longer than a weekend to level up a character. we made youtube videos on how to speed level in around 8-10 hours for experienced players. now it takes less time than that, on the inexperienced. i watched my wife, mindlessly smashing abilities or using 1 or 2 from level 1 - 70. she doesnt know how to heal, cleanse, cc, interrupt, or guard properly. she sends the craptastic companion out first usually on a gold or silver while she cleans up via chainning AoE attacks. its comical at first but frustrating when i try to explain a more efficient way and get a rotation going. BW has brought some of the original mechanics back along with some abilities. the CM +41 stat crystals were an admitted mistake. they were originally going to increase the stats on the color crystals as more level caps were added. they cant due to the CM sales of these crystals. Through loss, my game play is broken. all these changes though small impacted the gameplay greatly. especially when the devs dumbed down PVE into the faceroll it is now. all enemies are hitting less and have less health. leveling up characters is boring. there isnt a challenge there for new players. we have had huge issues with players not knowing their own abilities and how to use them properly, yet alone know when and when not to use an interrupt or CC. it shows up in FP runs all the time and is highlighted in Operations much more than it used to be. before, the game play was slower and allowed for players to learn new abilities as they leveled up. TL: DR ive said it so many times before. BW dumbed down the game for a more simple minded casual player base. it wasnt to improve long term player experience and gameplay. those that get offended by that are the ones that BW caters too now. BW changed the original direction of this MMO into a story driven single player rpg with some group activities. The Force shall imprison me. I watched SOE kill off SWG with CU and NGE, watched Age of Conan slowly dies with their own version of a combat upgrade when Funcom dumbed down combat mechanics of abilities. BW devs at EA's direction has SWTOR following in the same footsteps, except they are taking their sweet time with it by spreading these core game play mechanic changes out over years. Many would have said the same thing if overnight those abilities are removed, merged, passive, gear is pointless with level sync, companions are all the same with half the abilities, you can level up over night, NPCs die quicker, no reason to do group content, you will level up faster and no need to learn mechanics of the game while you level up. its nonsense. when you combine all the changes made to the original core gameplay, its BWs take on Sony Online Entertainment's NGE but spread out over years. Prior game directors have admitted to failing the original SWTOR direction and its fans/player base with 4.0-5.X changes. They went in the wrong direction and subscriptions went down, cartel market sales fell as the community left for other games much quicker than anticipated. KOTFE & KOTET dont even feel like a star wars story. Companions are a lie, there is only solo play. Through solo play, I gain bad habits. Through bad habits, I lose power. Through lack of power, I cannot gain victory. Through loss, my game play is broken. The Force shall imprison me.
  24. Key is to have referalls and especially those that are still subs. Refresh them every 90 days. CC don't run out. Also I'll buy up the under cutters and resell at more than double the cost. Those under cutters don't even know what they are missing out on by under cutting each other over and over.
  25. The Black Talon. Learn the companion likes for chat and level them up quickly as well. Diplomacy - always have companions running those missions. Those 2 ways are the fastest. Use perks to cut down on time and grinding
