For once when you enter the casino and decide to play on the roulette for instance you know perfectly well what your chances of winning/losing are on any of the bets you make. While opening packs you don't. You don't know the individual chances of getting any item, you don't know the chance to get an item vs the chance to get a chance cube. All this info is N/A. If you buy crates to open them, it is because you enjoy the feeling of wondering what you'll get next. That is, you open them to have fun opening them and getting random stuff that you don't know what it will be. If you want item X, you sell the crates on the GTN and buy the item from the GTN, or you open the crates to get the packs and sell the packs on the GTN and buy the item from the GTN. In a pinch, you open the packs as well, and sell whatever you get on the GTN, but you're likely to get more money by selling the packs. Oh, and: "No Sympathy From Me." The Business model at Bioware consists of financing the game from people paying for stuff on the Cartel Market. Now if the drop rates would be high Packs wouldnt sell and the game would shut down. However, if you are able to get enough idiots to buy many Hypercrates which dont drop anything then you will be rich. So figer it out...... And if people could get what they wanted B.W. would get more aswell.
