The most practical advice is to move all of your essentials to one or two toons and transfer them over to Harbinger. On Harbinger the vibe is like 2013 and the game feels newer and people do content that those on other servers have long since abandoned. If you are just getting back to the game you may actually enjoy creating new toons to take advantage of the LvD event. Alts aren't as important as they once were simply because they are easy to create and level up now. The LvD legacy armor puts XP into overdrive.
