So I guess someone needs to go back to the drawing board and actually fix the issue, or better still rewrite the code to award the total coins for the payment taken at the same time as the payment is confirmed, like almost everyone else does

Are you sure about that? Do you have 2 grants dated after 4/5?

If you do, please share. As a Bioware rep hasn't returned to this thread, we need those data points to know if it was actually fixed or not. So far, no one has provided dates with a full grant cycle after the supposed fix.

 

We are just now at the 30 days after when it was supposed to be fixed. So, if your last grant was 33 days, the cycle must have logically started before the fix (4/5). That is, again, assuming that the fix actually went in then.

Well, as always, take answers you get from customer support with a grain of salt. They're doing their jobs, but they don't really seem to have the direct line to the top to make sure they have all the right answer all the time. They work off of what they are given.

 

That being said, supposedly the 72 hour shift was always a possibility. That wasn't the issue. The problem arose last August when the grant cycle began starting over after that 72 hour shift instead of the normal 30. Prior to that, you could get a grant 33 days out, but the new cycle still started after the first 30 were up. So the extra 3 days weren't accumulating.

 

Also, your last grant date was 4/7. Looking at a calendar and counting, your 30 days should be tomorrow. So your grant isn't late, yet.

 

If you could, though. please report back in this thread when you do get your grant.

 

Though, if That 72 window still holds, we can't really know if it was fixed until there are two full cycles from the said fix. That would be the only way we could check if that 72 hour window was still accumulating or not.

 

Of course, that puts some people at the point where they could miss a grant if it wasn't fixed.

 

Ideally, some indication from Bioware that the fix was applied would be helpful.

Bioware have the data, I play to play the game not do their QA,

but the last 3 email dates are, 1 March, 4 April, 6 May, so 33 days still even after the "Biofix"

4 April is before the fix was slated to take effect. What we need is someone with an April 5 or later last-grant date. And even then, we won't know until 3-6 days from April 5, since it can take up to 72 hours for the ledger to "catch up." (Though the in-game total appears to update "on-time" when I've bothered to check on grant day, even when "on-time" is 33 days later.)

That appears to be the bug, that the 72-hour window for the grant to be applied is snowballing. Up until sept/oct (depending on grant date) it may have taken up to 72 hours for the grant to be applied after your sub date, but the 30 day "clock" restarted on your sub date. After whatever happened in August, the 30-day "clock" started on the day the grant was applied (also consistently 72 hours late, instead of up to 72 hours) - giving a 33-day clock instead.

Lets hope it will remain so.

So this thread will probably just slide off into oblivion, and we won't get confirmation that they are now receiving their rewards as normal. We WILL hear every time it's even a day late, though.

well i'll post regardless. they should arrive around the 26th this month if there are no delay, but sadly if there is then i'm exactly at 30 days so lost an entire month grant. we'll see.

It does not look like right now they're going to reset grant dates to match sub dates; on the one report so far. Just going back to recycling 30 days from the last grant. Which, as long as it falls within 30 days of the sub date cycling, is technically within their terms.

Teh grants are not (and never were) based on calendar months. They're supposed to be 30 days apart and have been 33 days apart since sometime after August. It's possible under the 33 day cycle to miss in any calendar month; and technically possible under the 30-day cycle to miss February.

Its worse then described, read my ledger and see the weird things showing up.

I get mail about the 600 coin grant, not about my security grant. That implies that my security grand is added to my subscriber grant. Sounds normal? Not if there is a huge gap between the 2. And that gap is even stranger.

Look at the bottom and see my subscriber grand being 525 coins and not 500. Security is 100 coins.

After adding the security I get 600? Reduction off 25? Or another blunder on there account.

And in 2014 there was even a bigger gap between payments. All of the sudden they add 12 days?

And now they add 3 days at a time. Seriously fraud if you ask me.

The 525cc is easily explained. You receive more CC depending on how much time you buy. I'm not sure on the details, but I think it would be a 60 day chunk (possibly the free time when you bought the game?) that would reward 525cc per month. When you changed to another subscription, your awarded CC changed to 600.

 

As for your big gap, I can't comment without knowing exactly the circumstances - did your subscription lapse for any reason, for example.

I switched to a six-month sub and I get 600 CC for the sub plus 100 for my key = 700 CC.

 

Also, the 3 day bug has never affected the key CC, so, yeah, we see a widening gap between the grants.

As it seems now the delay is 14 days in payment of subscription rewarded coins.

So there is not a BIG delay. Just a weird date shifting they cannot explain. And in my list that is already happening sins 2013.

 

On a side note: I never received the mail with the link for the cartel coin reward in December. They should have done what they did before and just add it to the account. (04/03/2014 and 05/05/2014)

14 days is plausible for the delay caused by the issue starting in August (nominally). I didn't actually start seeing a delay until my October grant, for example.
